Mazda CX3 1.5 [Genting Hill Climb] - Surprisingly Fun SUV, Great Alternative Vehicle

  • I had my doubts as to whether this configuration of SUV would work - a 1.5 liter engine, albeit the same SKYACTIV engine that is also found on the Mazda 2, would work on Genting.
    It does a good job whilst on normal city driving and also does well on intercity driving if you are not in too much of a hurry.
    I really did not expect too much from it on the mountain road, but to my pleasant surprise, it really came alive, and gave a good account of itself.
    See for yourself how it performed and let us have your comments below.
    And yes, Mazda is on our list of vehicles for sale; you can book online with us on

    Thanks very much for your support. The small commissions we earn helps us to keep our channel running.

      ys, try a small family car to compliment a larger one like a cx8. A friend bought a CX8 upon arrival in Melbourne last year, but upon collection of his cx8 ,he placed another order in a cx3 manual to compliment the cx8 which turned out to be his wives family bus to travel her 3 children!. I've driven the Cx3 heaps, but it's too small for my passengers, hence the focus on cx5,cx8,6 for the job.

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  8 місяців тому

      The Mazda CX3 has a 1.5 and a 2.0 liter version. Both will be slightly cheaper to run as they are FWD so there is less load.
      The Mazda price includes 5 years of maintenance including the maintenance parts so for the 5 years you pay nothing, and there is 5 years warranty.

    12:57 you can see the traction/stability control interfere during cornering, the yellow indicator just on the bottom right edge of the speedometer is blinking.
    So even you if you toggle the TCS off(assuming you did) it will still have protection. I have a mazda 2 and 1st gen cx-5 never turns it off, it gives extra protection and reminder to me if the tires does not have enough traction on the condition of the road that I am facing with. And yes I really feel it on the throttle. There is also one time that during downhill cornering on my cx-5, it locks the steering momentarily until I eased down on the throttle, not sure if it is the "stability control" portion, might need to read more about it.
