- We take the updated Mazda CX3 2.0 PLUS up to our favorite mountain to check out the handling, and it did not disappoint.
The tyres were very new, as was the vehicle, and I tried to run in the tyres as much as I could, because new tyres have a layer of vulcanization - this layer needs to be 'scrubbed' off to let the rubber underneath to do its work..
Still, the CX3 gave a good account of itself.
Tribute must be given to the Mazda engineers who took the trouble to build in the 'Jinba Ittai' effect, and I must say that I really like the handling of this vehicle.

The sport mode is only effective when in automatic. It holds the revs higher/longer before changing up gears, and nothing else beyond that. Therefore shouldn't make any difference when you're in manual mode. The reason it sounded quieter as soon as you switched it off is because it changed up gears (you were in auto mode).

Zoom2 long time already a driving feel for Mazda. It means Mazda car prowess is at high speed cruise. Mazda 6 GH with 40 profile tires can really turn corners.
In 2009, Mazda GH 2.5 already ran 255kmh at Plus highway.

I'm trying to decide on my new vehicle and I'm choosing between a mazda 3 and mazda cx-3 (both from 2017) as i really like them both but I can't decide. I would love to hear your opinion on which car would you choose. Is the mazda 3 handling so much better than cx3? Which one do you think is more fun to drive? I would really appreciate if you told me your opinion on this.
The car is lower so it would handle better than the SUV, even if marginally.

Depends on the driver.
If you aren’t an advanced driver, recommended to leave all the safety features on or you might end up in trouble if you drive uphill fast..
And I thought I was a good driver !!

The driving dynamics are very different.
Engine wise comparable, but in terms of cabin roominess u r looking at wrv size counterpart~ hrv is more like cx30.. 😂
