Yung Solid Waste Facility ng Bayawan ang dapat gayahin sa buong Pinas Kung ganyan ang tutukan ng Government natin siguro maayos at malinis lahat ng mga Bayan.
Born and raised sa Dumaguete but never saw this side of Neg. Or. Being a fan of FEATR's documentaries and always wondered how Dumaguete would be presented and I must say, This is beyond I could imagine! Thank you FEATR for creating this wonderful video! Boss Nicky, hurot akong bilib nimo! DAGHANG SALAMAT
I notice your comment, did youtube banned us filipinos from using the word "Negro" now?. which is our freaking word thats part of our culture. Because of this narcissist foreigners that think our culture should adjust to their culture.

I am overjoyed that you highlighted Siquijor, my home province, and Negros Oriental. There is always a connection between these two islands. Siquijor was formerly a part of Negros Oriental until the island gained the ability to stand on its own. However, Negros will always be Siquijor's mother island. The featured issues, which highlighted the value of living in harmony with nature and its inherent simplicity in a way that younger generations and millenials do not understand, were fascinating.
Hello, this video brings a lot of memories from my birth country Philippines. Living away from home for 50 years (visited only about six times since I left in 1975). Yes, as a child, I used to help my mother made landang, a very laborious process. For many families then, it was already a meal for many days. I remember eating different recipes out of the “landang” product like: ginataan-cooked with coconut milk similar to tapioca, landang mix with young shredded coconut, brown sugar, etc then steam cook, there were some other ways of cooking. Erwan, I watch a lot of your videos bc I love cooking. Unfortunately, bringing Filipino products to USA is so restricted I will only dream of eating landang when I’ll visit PH hopefully summer of 2025. Thank you for sharing this very touching video. Good luck to all your future endeavors.🇵🇭🇺🇸🙏🙂
I hope, ang schools mag coordinate sa inyo sir para i-educate ang mga kabataan sa pag alaga bg kalikasan. Field trips dyan sa land fill. Congratulations sa grupo nyo sir. ❤
I can hear the golden-bellied gerygone and sun bird at the background. ❤❤❤ I have to continue watching after the tree was being cut. I shared this to my children and friends who are conservationists of history and environment. Like many older jaded people as you have mentioned, I felt the realities of human frailties, politics and more for far too long. My bp skyrockets at certain issues. I relayed your message to younger people who can take the beatings of dissapointments, the highs and lows of their advocacy. I am not resigning. Just taking a step back so younger people can try and do their best. My purpose now is dissemination. A far cry to field work but still like you said, it's up to me what I will do with this information. Keep it up. You are the eyes that will show people what is important and what needs to be done with these historical-culture-environment-community issues that we need to deal with. Kudos to your team.
It’s such a blessing to see/hear Tatay Rene planting those critically endangered trees/plants. We need more people like him❣️ Enjoy watching your videos…heartwarming & educational…Thank You🙏🏼
I so love this vlog! Thank you Erwan and team. The way Nicky Dumapit explained his advocacy is quite impressive! Alam niya ang ginagawa at passion niya. Sana mapagpatuloy ‘to. Also si tatay at nanay na gumagawa ng Ligoron ang husay and I was surprised nakakaride pa sila. Well done po! 💚 Hoping for more videos like this. Solid!
This video brought back a lot of my memories growing up at a time when a greater part of Manila still looked and felt like a rural area with its luscious greeneries teeming with all sorts of insects, animals and birds you don't get to see nowadays. I miss those cold foggy early morning adventure walks with my brothers to catch dragonflies or mantises as well as some small guppy fish for our glass jar aquarium on a stream that leads to one of the tributaries of Pasig River a few meters away from our house. I wish it stayed the same for children to enjoy and marvel at. 🙏💔🥹🙏
Kudos!
makamingaw tung moments na naay mag bike maglibud maligaya ug "bread" /pan bisaya ,sa amo i think kay puto bread tawag, i forgot the right term, mag andam kag naka daan ug money pag makakita naka nila doul na sa inyo~~ ✨ Good Job to Ate and sa mga ni help niya for the business ✨ hapit niya ta diha~ makalabang tag Siqui ~~ ❤
Wow this is such an amazing episode!! Appreciate all of the people featured on this episode especially the Manang that baked pan bisaya and the guy with the insturments!!
More of this please. so inspiring and refreshing at the same time. I agree, we need to stop or slow down at some point in our life to be aware of the surroundings we are in.❤❤❤
Nice narratives. Siquijor and Dumaguete are some of my favorite places. Although Siquijor and Dumaguete are no longer part of Central Visayas. Just recently the president signed RA 12000 declaring the Negros Island Region as a separate region.
I think it is safe to say that both Siquijor and Negros oriental now together with Negros Occidental are just called Negros Island region. Im from Negros and i welcome the integration of making it as a whole one big region. They are no longer part of central and Western Visayas. Thank god. Great video.
Kakatuwa, reminiscence my childhood memories, we dont buy toys, we build, we make it for our own self. We used to pitch water from a far away place. Now kids have no more physical games than it was before.
We did not missed the opportunity to try Lilibeth's Pan Bisaya of Siquijor, and mind you it was one of the best gastronomic experiences in Siquijor. Did not know how they make their bread but it has a distinct flavor.
Nice but maybe next time the voice over should improve especially their pronunciation - pandisaya - because the local said the pronunciation already yet the voice over keeps on mispronouncing (elitista vibes) .
I swear FEATR produces the best documentaries and presentations about our places, people and culture. Will always be a fan of this production.
That is Erwan is James Beard awardee

Napakaganda. Napakahusay.
There's nothing more genuine than people who experienced hardships. Its the experience, not the wealth that is valuable.

I see exactly like this in New Guinea people eat this stuff too
Negrosanon and Siquijornon eat this occasionally. I myself grew up in Negros ate this as a child. We call it saksak(the tree) and kugay the flour.

We did not missed the opportunity to try Lilibeth's Pan Bisaya of Siquijor, and mind you it was one of the best gastronomic experiences in Siquijor. Did not know how they make their bread but it has a distinct flavor.
