As an ultrarunner, I'm already doing tire-pull sprints or tire-pull longer distances for two years now. It really helped me a lot, so I can recommend everyone to try it, you won't regret it!
I started rehabilitation for an old injury (R knee, I’m 65) in January this year after I watched Ben Patrick on Joe Rogan. I just started by walking BACKWARDS, then adding Ben’s Knees Over Toes” program. I had prolotherapy on that knee in February. I purchased a 25lb sled and pulling strap with two 25lb weight plates, in March I think. Just started pulling the sled only, backwards, working up to adding the one weight, then to adding both. I pulled the 75lbs backwards for 10 min 4-5 days a week. I weigh 127 lbs. In addition to walking outdoors on some rough nature trails I added some brief (20-30 seconds) sprints a couple of times a week. In September I heard about The Senior Games and signed up for the sprint events of 50m, 100m and 200m events. I had never even been on a track until 2 wks before and never ran a race in my life. I came home with 2 silver medals and a gold in my state and 3 weeks later in a nearby state bettered two of my three times coming home with 2 bronzes and a silver. Who knew that pulling a sled was great sprint training?! Granted the competition at my age is slim but each race I was up against women who had been doing this for years and are nationally ranked. I love the tire idea! You don’t have to spend a lot of money, you just have to want to do it, and it is worth it!
Hi Valerie, wow that's an inspiring story! Also good idea regarding the walking back options for those who can afford sleds. I'll be testing that once I get my hands on a heavier tire!
Best recommendation from me. I have been running with these for 18 weeks preparing for ultra trail running and never fail me in terms of mental toughness.. You did a great job 👍👍👍
Great alternative for a sled, which is very expensive. You can make your sprints more dynamic and also you can make the @The Kneesovertoesguy exercises for better knees
Lately I tried sprinting with a tire strapped on me in order to try resistance-sprints and...
... I loved it! My lower body was completely sore during the first week!
Let me know if you have any questions!
What am I doing wrong if my lower back hurts afterwards?
After hill sprints in general or after tire hill sprints?

Thanks for the feedback N!

Brother your funny I love your humor and your an inspiration
Fantastic idea Anthony... I think I'm going to have to copy you... again :))
Cool, let me know if you have fun with it!
Is that a good idea for a young soccer players ? To get more power on legs and stamina ?
Definitely! Great for conditioning before season 💪🏼
Far superior to hill sprints. Anaerobic total body smoker. Don't do it on a road? Go to a park, a field, a trail, your driveway/backyard.
But in greece you have best place for train !!! 👍👌
Haha, that is true 😄💪🏻!
What is the rope around your chest

yea
Instead of drilling a hole, maybe a big C-clamp would work, plus adds some more weight.
interesting, I didn't think of that, thanks for the recommendation!
Brother can you tell me or share the link of tyre running belt? Plzz
.....
hi! which one? the one I'm wearing? it's just a regular leather belt :D !
Hello, how much does that tire weigh?
20 lbs if I remember correctly
Alright, thank you.
Is there air in the tube?
A bit, yes!
it makes it softer!
