Hi andy ii use Century TT's n penn casting specials for every type of fishing loaded with 50lb braid 100llb braid shockleader I don't need loads of rods or reels they do me just fine for everything

Mitchell garcia 602 has to be the best multiplier ever built it was the one a taught my self how to use a multiplier that will of been 1984/5 , am 49 in August and still use a multiplier cant get away with fixed spool, even if a go spinning or after mackerel with feathers a use a abu 6500c3 , beach work casting special macci magged. When a first started fishing very young a used to use a old mahogany Scarborough reel lol
Few things should be considered...for it would have to be the slosh 30, why???
1 very very reasonably priced.. Cheaper the the bg but still just as capable for normal fishing.
2 easy to work on.. Example bearing change, unlike the bg where you need specific tools.
3 the material it's made from as they don't rot/bubble like the bgs.
Slosh 20s and 30s...most pocket friendly reel and bang for your buck reel ever produced.
Back in the day abu 7000c with level wind taken out , the diawa millionaire, shimano speedmaster
Totally agree with comments on the eliminator range they do need something between the 900 and 1000. 👍
Love my abu 6000, to infinite and beyond.
SLOSH series of reels cant be beat , easy to service bomb proof and you can get a good distance on them.

Gotta agree the BG is bombproof I have them from 20-50's the hyperspeeds are great reels to, blue/black not a bad reel but not the build of the BG,
Had a few of them never had any issues the predecessor? Ie the silver livery used to look like they were ten years old after a few outings very good reels all the same👍
WR300 is a great rod for Fuerteventura..shorter length gives you more leverage.. I use them with magged Diawa Seagate 40s.
At last we agree on something 👍bg 30 on line over 25 and over.. mine looks like its been in a cement mixer to wash it out 😁 Shimano speedmaster for owt else 💪 the rest are made out of kit kat wrappers..speedmaster still has the conger record..bet its still in use 🤔😁

I was wondering because of my lack of distance would you advise fishing at night , i fish on the east coast , ive just bought a vercelli enygma 15ft and vercelli reel filled it with 30 lb braid and a tapered shock leader . Jules
