After watching this incredibly well-organized and thorough build guide, I'm sold on running this as a league start. I was waffling on playing this league at all, because so many of my favorite skills have been nerfed into oblivion, but I've always been a huge fan of Pyroclast mines, and the fact that I can play them for a while and then convert to this pushed me over the edge. Thanks to you and Cpt_Garbage for spending what must have been a huge amount of time putting it altogether.

This is only my second PoE league, but I'm super excited to try out this build! I tried out Corrupting Fever Champ last league and enjoyed it, and feel like this is right up my alley! Keep up the great content brother. Have a great league!
a few things for people thinking or struggling with this build. firstly, you do not need the mastery to explode mines when moving unless you are ultimate level of lazy. set your detonate mine skill to a hotkey. hold hotkey down as you play normally they will auto det. you can also auto det without moving now. NOTES on doing this tho. lift finger off and replace when gem swapping, mid map ID, gear changing, and between map areas (mainly in campaign) or it wont register your finger on the det mine key, takes less than a second. I actually prefer it this way as it allows me more control and options. like, lay 20 mines, trigger boss or strong box, run around corner wait for the target then press. you can go an alternate route to get to the same outcome, with less respecs as well. using storm blast mine early on is easier to manage for a MINOR loss of damage. this can be offset in many ways in gear. DO NOT spec into the fire nodes. move into Icicle Mines, some end game builds still use it to good effect. this will allow you to have decent progression until you get a 5L. you can't rely on luck or to be able to force it. if you can buy a 5L or better yet, a 6L. even a tabula is usable. doing this allows you to move straight into the cold and mine spec. the range is insane, specially with chain and trick shot. Ive cleared 3 screens ahead, and have cleared several rooms not even in a straight line on single throws. once you have your links and exsanguinate, there is a specific play style. you dont face tank things, it does not nor ever have the EHP for it. a lot of your defense is freeze locking the mobs, or blowing them up outright from screens away and around corner. if you are pushing new areas, throw as far as it allows, then move, over and over again, you get a rhythm down its still pretty quick. use corners/doors to your advantage. having an aggressor you are throwing into a room or around the corner keeps you ultimately safe, its free damage. some bosses/rares can be freeze locked, others cant. OHHHH. P.S. if looking for a strong weapon for this build. Nycta's Lantern can be picked up cheap, even somewhat early. while the perfect 200% might be a bit cheap for early on, you can pick up a 199% for 15-20% of the cost. at the time I grabbed mine, the 200's were 20-30c, I bought a 199 for 3c and there were several at this price. it will press on (easily) until you are ready to get your "mirror tier" weapon. people always sleep on this weapon
Seems like a great candidate for the multiple legion release scarab, since you can just stand in the middle and spam mines without worrying about the couple stragglers you miss. Not sure how rare/expensive they'll be, but something fun to try at least once or twice even if it's too unavailable to farm at a profit.
Great video. I’m lacking few brain cells and I still cleared campaign in basically 1 day. Making a switch to blood mines today, still zooming at orbital velocity, one shooting screens and being one shot 1/5 off the time but it’s still the most league fun I ever had
I played chaos dot selfcast version in Ancestor league and it was very strong, able to hit DOT cap with investment. 2x Ming's Heart are main scalars with 72% extra phys as chaos (144% total). It was melting through everything, even uber bosses were possible with it. That was pathfinder though as this was a poison build.

Love it, I'm playing this. It was between Poison SRS, Necro DD or BAMA - but they're going to be so popular and over represented that items are going to sky rocket. I think something like this will be relatively cheap to get into.
This is one of the smoothest builds I've played, and I've played since betrayal league. Switched to Exsanguinate at round level 60, and it came online instantly. Good recommendation for a league starter. :)

I would really love to see some bossing footage with this build. Maybe ubers. Since I only play 1 character per league most of the time, that would really impact my decision on whther to league start this.

I’d like to add my experience with this build so far this the best league starter I’ve ever done and I’ve tried all sorts been playing since 3.5 spell suppression immune the elements high evasion run most maps mods cuts out loads of hassle when mapping everything frozen. Follow the max roll guide and you can’t go wrong I’m currently level 96 blasting with this and I’ve usually re rolled by now no chance currency maker this build crouching tuna is the truth thanks for the build!
@@adeirfanwahyudin2215 most map bosses t16 die quick with chain most of the time if there’s energy as extra life or altars buffed boss or wanna take on something big switch chain to trap and mine damage and it’s pretty good.
@@Senorzilchnzero maxroll has a checklist what to follow, but mid game approaching level 90 want to make sure gem levels are high as possible empower 4 is a big boost in power. All gems 20 20 atleast and cap spell suppression which is easy in the trickster. Slot a Ancestral Vision in a jewel slot and make up the rest on avoid aliments on boot and shield these 2 at 100 percent give you the tank you need, evasion rating above 70% with grace and sadist garb quite cheap now 6 linked. Never run less Aura effect maps ruins the build. Make sure you have loads of life regeneration the ring kikazaru cheap option and some life regen else where to help sustain yourself. With high gem levels capped spell suppress 100% avoid alinements high evasion the build will feel good.

OMG... This video just gave me an idea... Bodyswap Mines!!! I just swapped out a couple gems and tried it out for a few seconds and wow...that's wild!!! I'm not gonna league-start it, but I'm definitely gonna try it. 😂😂😂

Glacial Cascade mines would be an entirely different build, i'd think. I really do not think you would be able to swap GC in place of exsanguinate in this build and have it work the same.
Hey Tuna thanks for the guide I'm going to start with it but I found an issue in the guide. Pobb says to take mastery : "Each Mine applies 2% reduced Damage dealt to Enemies near it, up to 10%" but maxroll guide says to take : "Each Mine applies 2% increased Damage dealt to Enemies near it, up to 10%" :)

I've got a question about the leveling of this build, im planning to do it in 3.25 and I was wondering if it was possible to switch to Exsanguinate in the acts with vitality or if it was a bad idea.
Why are we taking the Mine MAstery " Each mine applies 2 % reduced damage taken" and not the different ones? All of the others give us much more dmg up to 1.3 mill in the late game tree....

Happy to hear! It kind of depends how far progressed you are at the moment but id suggest pre-blasting or blasting. Just make sure to hold alt after killing a boss as the boss uniques are hidden because they share item base with common garbage stuff that would clutter up your filter while mapping.
I'm using your guide along with the POB, but I'm having trouble understand the skill gem leveling. The POB is showing, for instance, Frost blink remaining at level 1. Is that for mana management purposes? Also, why does the guide show socketing both Frostblink and Flame Dash at the same time? Don't they share a cooldown?
Yeah, the POB has most skills besides the main one listed as being kept to level 1 skill gems. There's an entry for Elemental weakness at skill gem 1 and no mention of it in the build guide, it seems to switch from frost blink to flame dash and back to frost blink, all at level 1. Just not sure if this POB is update or if this stuff was overlooked. Please advise when you have a moment. Thanks!
Do you have any particular atlas in mind apart from legion i would assume ? Trying to come up with some sort of legion exped deli atlas but im pepegaing alot

Really cool build. When I did a levelling run I had a bit of an issue after the exsanguinate swap in maps with single target damage. Killing map bosses was ok but many map rares were a bit much. Is this just how it goes early on before making upgrades to the pieces of rare gear?
That mapping looks juicy! The one thing I worry about is how it would fare against pinnacle bosses/guardians. Have you tried killing any bosses with this setup?
Hey Tuna, I used this is my league starter and pumped it up enough to clear fortress if I don't get hit. Got some currency and "upgraded" to SS Trick and while it's much more "safe", I absolutely hate the playstyle and want to go back exsang. Is there any POB or Player you know of that has pushed exsang to its limits? I would greatly appreciate it and thank you for the fantastic league start guide. It has been my favorite build of all time.
Hey Tuna , I always wanted to do exsanquinate. Im going to be league starting this. Will there be future progression videos beyond whats given atm? Theres definitely things to work towards , i just tend to spend an entire league on a single build most of the times due to time constraints so I want to be able to keep putting in the work for upgrades , or is this more of a "blast your ass off speed clearing great league starter , until you decide to convert to a different build as the league progresses"?

Sorry if answered already - the tree in the Maxroll guide slightly differs in progression (I think ends up the same) which is more "up to date" the POB or the maxroll guide ?
Did somebody played with this build in 3.23? Can u share ur experience? How it was? Is it bad at start? Is it bad with quest exarch/eater? Is it bad with maven and uber elder (for watchstones) etc.? I need pitfalls, cause pros allready was watched in the video, and they convinced me =)
Can you explain the purpose of two mobility skills? Specifically in the guide: 1) Frostblink + flame dash early on. Don't they share cooldown? 2) Frostblink + shield charge. If shield charge is your main movement skill, do you really need a frostblink?
frostblink/flame dash is preference and shield charge/frostblink you want both as shield charge is your main fast movement skill and sometimes you need to teleport somewhere on a hill or behind fence etc. where shield charge doesnt get you, it gets blocked
Do you think it will be fine to swap to exsang without the gloves? planning on playing SSF and i wonder if ill struggle with it, what ur thoughts on that?
You lose scaling efficiency with hatred the more %of phys you have. 40% from the tree is fine to start, can farm syndicate early to get glove conversion craft. Won’t feel too bad.

ultimately it's going to be pretty similar but it's a bit more tanky then LA while also applying freeze so phys damage really isn't that much of a worry besides slams etc@@UnimaxPL

The "mines have a 10% chance to be detonated an additional time" mod from the expert sabotage cluster jewel node does not change the DPS in PoB. Is that a bug? Is it equivalate to 10% more damage?

Probably slower due to less dps (only 1 mil dps in low tier maps) should be fine with more investment.

i think this is more of a map blaster and not an uber bosser/high delirium farmer, you're probably looking at mageblood++ to do ubers

It converts the frostblink damage so you don't die by using it in element reflect maps.

Glacial Cascade mines would be an entirely different build, i'd think. I really do not think you would be able to swap GC in place of exsanguinate in this build and have it work the same.
Use the alt qual GC 😉 the frameworks of the builds are similar, just don’t need chain stuff
Hey Tuna thanks for the guide I'm going to start with it but I found an issue in the guide. Pobb says to take mastery : "Each Mine applies 2% reduced Damage dealt to Enemies near it, up to 10%" but maxroll guide says to take : "Each Mine applies 2% increased Damage dealt to Enemies near it, up to 10%" :)

I've got a question about the leveling of this build, im planning to do it in 3.25 and I was wondering if it was possible to switch to Exsanguinate in the acts with vitality or if it was a bad idea.

Why are we taking the Mine MAstery " Each mine applies 2 % reduced damage taken" and not the different ones? All of the others give us much more dmg up to 1.3 mill in the late game tree....

Happy to hear! It kind of depends how far progressed you are at the moment but id suggest pre-blasting or blasting. Just make sure to hold alt after killing a boss as the boss uniques are hidden because they share item base with common garbage stuff that would clutter up your filter while mapping.

I'm using your guide along with the POB, but I'm having trouble understand the skill gem leveling. The POB is showing, for instance, Frost blink remaining at level 1. Is that for mana management purposes? Also, why does the guide show socketing both Frostblink and Flame Dash at the same time? Don't they share a cooldown?
Yeah, the POB has most skills besides the main one listed as being kept to level 1 skill gems. There's an entry for Elemental weakness at skill gem 1 and no mention of it in the build guide, it seems to switch from frost blink to flame dash and back to frost blink, all at level 1. Just not sure if this POB is update or if this stuff was overlooked. Please advise when you have a moment. Thanks!

Loving the build, I am at the early exsang swap stage but getting a bit confused as have the four Aura's but cant use them all. Any tips?
Really cool build. When I did a levelling run I had a bit of an issue after the exsanguinate swap in maps with single target damage. Killing map bosses was ok but many map rares were a bit much. Is this just how it goes early on before making upgrades to the pieces of rare gear?

That mapping looks juicy! The one thing I worry about is how it would fare against pinnacle bosses/guardians. Have you tried killing any bosses with this setup?
Hey Tuna, I used this is my league starter and pumped it up enough to clear fortress if I don't get hit.
Got some currency and "upgraded" to SS Trick and while it's much more "safe", I absolutely hate the playstyle and want to go back exsang.
Is there any POB or Player you know of that has pushed exsang to its limits?

Hey Tuna , I always wanted to do exsanquinate. Im going to be league starting this. Will there be future progression videos beyond whats given atm? Theres definitely things to work towards , i just tend to spend an entire league on a single build most of the times due to time constraints so I want to be able to keep putting in the work for upgrades , or is this more of a "blast your ass off speed clearing great league starter , until you decide to convert to a different build as the league progresses"?

I've never played mines but was thinking of going hexblast sabo, is this better than Hexblast Mines for a beginner?
Hexblast is a more single target focused build, this is more of a map clearer

Did somebody played with this build in 3.23? Can u share ur experience? How it was? Is it bad at start? Is it bad with quest exarch/eater? Is it bad with maven and uber elder (for watchstones) etc.? I need pitfalls, cause pros allready was watched in the video, and they convinced me =)
Can you explain the purpose of two mobility skills? Specifically in the guide:
1) Frostblink + flame dash early on. Don't they share cooldown?
2) Frostblink + shield charge. If shield charge is your main movement skill, do you really need a frostblink?
frostblink/flame dash is preference and shield charge/frostblink you want both as shield charge is your main fast movement skill and sometimes you need to teleport somewhere on a hill or behind fence etc. where shield charge doesnt get you, it gets blocked
Do you think it will be fine to swap to exsang without the gloves? planning on playing SSF and i wonder if ill struggle with it, what ur thoughts on that?
Hrimsorrow isn't too hard to get. Pretty common drop.
You lose scaling efficiency with hatred the more %of phys you have. 40% from the tree is fine to start, can farm syndicate early to get glove conversion craft. Won’t feel too bad.

Saboteur is doable and what pros? Sorry if said during video, but I don't recall
LA clear might feel better but in general I believe you're going to be getting more DPS from mines and better single target with lower investment

ultimately it's going to be pretty similar but it's a bit more tanky then LA while also applying freeze so phys damage really isn't that much of a worry besides slams etc@@UnimaxPL

The "mines have a 10% chance to be detonated an additional time" mod from the expert sabotage cluster jewel node does not change the DPS in PoB.
Is that a bug? Is it equivalate to 10% more damage?
Yea it's not calculated in pob and essentially does 10% more
