One major reason that I believe that the shroud is real is that the wounds are through the wrists not the palms of the hands. Also, the nail at the feet was through the ankles. This is the true way a person at that time would have been crucified. It is not the way Jesus was pictured in every medieval painting that I have seen.

The talk omits key events at the cross. Jesus was offered something to drink three times. Scripture mentions gall. Yet there is no analysis of this in the talk. Also, the speculation a high or low cross. The Bible makes ot clear that it was a high cross because he was offered *up* a sponge on a *branch* ... "A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth." John 19:29

The shroud actually shows that one nail went through both feet from the top of the foot that was over the foot underneath.
There is no need to discuss the gall or the wine because Jesus did not ingest them. This is a forensic look at what happened to Jesus' body.
