He sounds so clearheaded now. Even when he was sober on stadium arcadium he always stuttered or had a hard time speaking. I wonder what changed. Super happy about it.
i think he just had so much to say all the time and was struggling to find a way to get it across the best. most people dont think the same way as him so i think he was just trying to be as clear as he could
He lives a healthy life since he got sober. Eats healthy, into yoga, meditation. I think occasionally he has wine but apart from that I think he decided himself to a healthy living just to recover from the damage he did from drug's.
"When I was on drugs, I really froze. Being on drugs makes your development sort of freeze. You can't really develop as a person or expand your horizons as a person when you're on drugs, in my opinion." This is a pretty remarkable statement, compared to his words as a proud junkie when he looked like a corpse. I'm glad he survived that, and I hope anyone who might romanticize his near-death self-destruction will hear his perspective now, with an extra 25 years of life lessons and wisdom.
It really just makes you think when you see some one tweaking. That is not the person that they were before their addiction. The drugs change them and theres always a chance to find that person, or a similar version of it again.

Respect to the interviewer her, he did a great job. John, amazing as always. I loved the "thanks man" at the end. Considering how many interviews with radio, TV and magazines that he must have done in his life (and continues to do) it's nice that he sounded genuine when he said that.

I'm really glad to hear, especially when he says he would not bring the DJ and Synth on their next album..but he still use his guitar as main instrument
I love that the interviewer asked him to talk about Maya, his departed cat, and not Maya, the album. John talking about his cat I think is an even bigger window into his soul than John talking about music.
RHCP is THE band that i listened to through all my childhood...now tweenty years later knowing john is rejoining the band made me cry like a little girl. THANK YOU

John is a real workaholic, always eager to learn something new and develop himself. What he does is not for fame or money, he does it because it's essential part of him. I liked how he said in one interview that he wrote and recorded songs and music because it's what he was, it's like eating and breathing. Such dedication is sooo inspiring. John is a person who constantly opens new sides of himself, even when he was on drugs, he always searched for something. He is so unique. So much love for John ❤
I cannot get enough of what this genius musician creates. Imagine getting to have a real conversation with him about music, life, his view on everything. He’s such a special soul (don’t know how else to put it) and I would have so many things to ask him and could never get tired of listening to him talk, play and sing. This is the most open and confident I've heard John in an interview context when discussing a myriad of topics. You can tell that he's in such a solid and healthy place mentally these days. This is evident in the way he's able to reflect on his past drug experiences, and his acceptance of how he's revered while keeping the ego in check. There's a real maturity to John that can only be honed with the passage of time and perspective. Kudos to the interviewer for bringing these thoughts and insights out of him.
The interviewer was great. He asked even the tricky questions in the right way. A wrong delivery of his questions could have made John feel uncomfortable. But he was spot on.

This is the most natural I’ve ever heard john speak. he was my version of his Hillel when I was 17 and thx u john for turning me onto fennesz & varese etc. This was a great interview
He comes across as such a down to earth, decent and sensitive guy, they all do, despite having everything that the Rock band lifestyle affords. I'm so glad he came through the other side before it was too late. Music is such a life force that one cannot do without and sometimes it's what saves a person from the trauma of life. And anyone who likes the Bristol Massive and drum n bass 👊👏😍
The only thing I was genuinely afraid of is that his return was mostly due to his royalties slowly starting to dry up and his divorce settlement draining him financially up to a point where he had to start making some serious revenue soon, hence his return. But he seems to really want to be with the band and most importantly of all - if he says the chemistry is still there, I have no doubt the album will be great. Although thematically different from one another, all of the Peppers' albums with John were pure magic.
On my bucket list (for 30 years) my biggest dream is getting the hear the Chilis play live. I almost got to see The Prodigy last year at Rockville (in Jacksonville) when a month prior we lost the great Kieth Flint😥. I feel very strongly that the universe has me being at a show. My close friend from San Diego gave me some tapes of the original albums that I believe, at least one, was sold out of the back of Anthony's car. What a long road and I look forward to our paths crossing. I hope the Gods will this to me
I love John so much. We are the same age and I really appreciate his journey. Musically, yes, but on a personal note, his journey of growth as a human. I have struggled with substance abuse, serious health issues (physical & mental) and seen many dark nights of the soul... John continues to be an inspiration and guiding force. He's experienced so much in a single lifetime and here he is now, so aware, continually thoughtful, sensitive and kind-spirited. And savant-level creative. Always learning and evolving and speaking his unique mind. Thank you, John, for sharing your beautiful soul with us! I'm so glad you are healthy and happy, You've definitely earned it! ❤️
Absolute music to my ears, hearing John speak from such an inspired place now the band are firing ahead again, musically and 'as human beings'. That depth of friendship and their positive, open-minded attitudes are as key to the end result as their musicianship. Great wisdom in the comments regarding keeping your ego in check - and with every release over the years the band have done so time and again. We sure are lucky to have more music coming from these legends...

This is a great interview John sounds so clear here seems like he's happy and accepting his place to be in the Peppers and finally putting things to rest for all the worried RHCP fans that there will no electronic music in the new Peppers album it will be all guitars even though he plays keyboards a little in previous RHCP albums some of the fans forgot about that and if he's excited to be back in the band than i'm excited i believe we think we're ready for them this year but truthfully we're not i think 2021 will be their year with a new album hopefully a new tour and next year will be the 30th anniversary of BSSM so hopefully we might get a deluxe edition of the album with Funky Monks on DVD or Blu-ray as a bonus and hopefully they might perform the whole album in their tour next year like U2 did for The Joshua Tree in their tour
He really is something. I thought he is a good person before, but listening to him now, wow he is better than ever. Such humility. Im happy that he's happy. God bless you John
I'm loving these new John interviews, I'm hoping we get a video interview soon, I wonder if his mannerisms have transformed back into 90s Frusciante as his voice has 😂

one of the best interview i've heard with john
He's from another dimension. A higher realm. Royalty in exile - Long may he Live and feed us with brilliance XX
Beautiful Interview, great questions and great replies. Excellent piece of work.
Incredible interview, thanks for sharing! So much good stuff was said, wow
❤😍
I'm loving these new John interviews, I'm hoping we get a video interview soon, I wonder if his mannerisms have transformed back into 90s Frusciante as his voice has 😂
He sounds so good and finally healthy again🥺I love him so much
Everyone's saying he seems like he's in a good place mentally. I think his soul always searches for answers. So he learns alot. And also has a great gf to be there with him
