@@SilentEchoes-k5d The song “A Name” from Curtains, the line, “You thought of me at that final stage” and as silly as the “eenie meenie miney mo” seems, I think the whole song directly refers to that night, based on interviews and articles I have read. Also, though this one is a stretch, the face of light John sings of in “Representing” could be River’s. “Loss” off the album The Will to Death mentions a death scene then brothers who “drove arrows” and shot assumptions. In “Interior Two” he sings about some forbidden lover and hearing “our song” on the wind, and “where ever did we find this night?” could reference their last night together making music or the night River died. I think they planned to overdose together but John survived due to his higher tolerance. Call me crazy… what do you think?
Flea & John ( All the RHCP's) still were in touch after John departs the RHCP's . As it goes Flea stopped John from being a victim of heroin. They or Just Flea got John to rehab and it basically took. RHCP's hire Josh Klinghoffer so they could play venues and such. Then all the sudden "KaPow" John is back in the band , gets his act together and has been ok . His spirituality and guitar skills improve . He did some solo stuff. The big point I wanna make is that Flea is a great friend to have.
Exactly. I can't imagine what he goes through every day let alone on every October 31st., he's a different type of soul. Like way gone. Smartest person that I've ever known. But tragically had issues one way or another. He, John, in his mid teen years was a trip to know. Those damn hard drugs later on he got into ruined a really good hearted person. I totally feel for Rivers family. It sucked so much all around. Should he be held liable? I think if the evidence has not been proven enough, it's still open to investigation with any new evidence. Later on 🙏
John was the closest anybody has ever got to river and I'm talking about the dead river John was a blink away from death and he heard a voice telling him hay Man turn round and you will be able to make indifference
People used to burn other people alive because they used to believe hearsay that others would spread. Please don't be like those people, we need to become better as humanity. No one knows what really happened that night, everyone there had different accounts and some would change their story. There's no reason to condemn anyone without proper evidence. Even if John handed River the lethal concoction, we can't just assume his plan was to murder River. John was also vomitting that night so he was likely sipping the same drink, which River gulped in one go. It was most likely a tragic accident. John was a wreckless, young and naive junkie and something like the possibility of ODing probably never crossed his mind. Its tragic for everyone involved
@antondavidovic3996 I couldn’t have said it better. Such a well thought out response. I couldn’t agree more with how you put it. Where did you learn about John vomiting etc?
@@SilentEchoes-k5d John mentions it himself in an interview in 2001, where he says that he performed one song, Life's a Bath, before he couldn't hold it in anymore and vomitted on Gibby Hanes who was sitting next to the stage. John also mentions in his 97 performance at the Viper room that he believes that if he could have played River's guitar that maybe River wouldn't have died. John's a little superstitious, but it obviously shows that murder wasn't the intention
I find so many references to River’s death in John’s solo music that he created during that era
Can you share an example or two?

great vid
Thank you very much. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, John went into seclusion and hiding over the guilt of giving River the substances.

Idiot. John didn't force him to take the drugs. River took the drugs himself. He killed himself accidentally. That is that.
No
