What a blast! And what a great sounding pedal!!! Literally turns any ‘adequate’ clean tone into a monster 3 channel amp. Fun video and sensational ‘amp’ sounds out of a stomp box.
That roast is priceless. Funniest video I've seen from your channel. It's funny to see you trying to ignore him. You could definitely use some bold (maybe also beautiful) sidekick to loosen up the gear reviews a little.

Which amp are you using with it?
I think at the time it was predominantly a Randall Diavalo 45. I find, now, the Orange Super Crush 100 Combo is a fantastic pedal platform. Of course my higher gain amps like EVH and Bad Cat, I use on their own without pedals. I know the Orange isn't ultra high end, and is solid state but it is fantastic for pedals. I picked up this pedal BECAUSE of the video, and IT DOES NOT disappoint. Absolutely brilliant, sounds amazing for high gain, and if you adjust the trim pot, you can approach an edge of breakup. In my view a much better form factor than Diezel's pedal with very similar tone/function and the layout is intuitive. Excellent pedal!

Wish you ran it through a little giant or one of the blackheart amps. I like it, but I think I’m just going to pay the extra for the ir-x. Dave has some serious aim, funny video. Especially “still not enough” 😂🤣

Ok two dumb questions for a dumber video sorry love the video but hey....ok why has no one done a review of this petal hee hee without running it through an amp??? Not all of us use amps today mof yes matter of fact...I don't own one!!! Why?? Because I can't afford a Friedman so uhh don't have one at all. Any advice on running this deluxe pedal with no amp for the best tone?? Please Dave?? Until my money tree blossoms an amp is not in my future but I do own this pedal thingy LoL that was in the budget and still has Friedman on it so closest my budget lacking wallet can fork towards Friedman awesomeness Awesome video guys

No amp is worth that kind of money. They sound great. But I can put the pedl into a Hot Rod Deluxe and get pretty much the same tone.

@@EytschPi42 Have you tried the Paisley Dexuxe? I can get get everyone from country to flat out high gain shred tones. I use it as my lead channel with the stacked od option.

First of all. What is the Cherry Sunburst guitar Henning has (or if you're reading this Henning, what is that guitar you were playing)?
Referring to the Small Box brought something to mind. Recently I've started to dislike the ambiguity of the term plexi. I wish people would at least differentiate whether it's an early or late plexi era amp so you know whether they're shooting more for a JTM or a SLP. I've not had the pleasure of playing them, but from modellers I've used and from demos I've watched or descriptions people have given, they're pretty different.
To end on a high note, I loved the video. I'm not actually hugely interested in the BE OD (sorry Dave, there are just too many modded plexi/high gain Marshall type pedals on the market) however I'm really liking what I've seen (or more accurately, heard) of the Golden Pearl. I seem to have become more fond of the idea of low to medium gain, vintage sounding amps and using pedals either for gain/character or to boost the front end. I've been toying with the idea of a Marshall Origin combo as a pedal platform.

@@EytschPi42 Thanks for the reply Henning :) She's a beauty. I've been looking at Les Pauls recently and am torn between various non Gibson options (which are more affordable and potentially actually better guitars) and just getting a Les Paul Traditional (the real deal and will most likely retain its value better, despite the fact that the idea is to keep it rather than sell it). It's a tough decision as either way I decide to go, I'll potentially regret my decision and it's quite a big investment for me.

I thought it was super "safe" badgering for fun.no real roast or vulgar greatness so it was actually too safe an pc.making it bland and unenjoyable as far as funny goes...
if it's not dead wrong then it's not funny to me.or completely outlandish abd off the wall.this was none of any of that stuff.just safe innocent fun.
Hmm- I was about to buy a Blue Ecstasy from Bogner on your advice- glad I hadn't pulled the trigger yet; this pedal is what I want. That said- I still don't have a good Marshal sound yet- probably cover that base first- I rarely play really high gain stuff. I think the JHS Angry Charlie or possibly the JHS @+ wins that contest. The AT+ is based on the Angry Charlie but adds the "air" parameter- which is like a presence knob basically- and a boost.

Sounds great. Have had a BE-OD for quite a while. Turns a Bugera V22 into a monster amp. I'm always thinking I wished I could easily go between lo gain and high gain with the BE-OD. I think it's time for the BE-OD Deluxe. Mid knob doesn't hurt either.

Why so many thumbs down? It’s a great pedal. Just ordered the deluxe. Have the regular be od pedal but since my Friedman amp is the only amp I love bI bought this to make my other amps sound like a Friedman amp too. SB limited is the best amp ever. Great demo and Dave thx for the commentary in the back. 😂You’ll be back soon for the special thing in September. Henning says you’ll be serving coffee.

Did you compared the Dirty Shirley with the "blue" channel of the BE-OD Deluxe ?
If the Deluxe can act as a DS plus a BE-OD, it would be not only an amazing pedal, but also a bargain.

Every smart ass commenter who whines about a product reviewer being a shill needs to watch this (they won't get it, but they should watch it anyway, because this really is well done)!

try weehbo effecte from your country, jvm drive helldrive etc so much better than this - a much more amp like sound and not so pedal like distortion! not like this is a bad sounding unit , it does sound really good but it might get lost in the mix if you play with another guitar player or keyboard player in your band.the weehbo really cuts through and sounds very organic and does not change the tone of your guitar.Also weehbo will switch between 9 or 18 volts for massive headroom and volume boost.
