The End Of A Long Hot And Dry Summer For The Lawn

It Has been a long summer for my Kentucky Bluegrass Lawn. It has been one of the hottest and dryest summers on record here. The heat took a toll on my KBG this summer. I was doing great with keeping up with the heat all the way through July. It was like overnight the lawn went from looking okay for a KBG lawn in the middle of the summer to looking like a KBG lawn that was just left to fend for itself. Anyway, the summer is over and now I am getting it back in shape for the best time of year for a cool season lawn and that is fall. I am doing a slight renovation here by scarifying, scalping, seeding and fertilizing the lawn.
