Posting on social media, especially putting out a video on UA-cam for examples does require a strong clarity as to WHY we are doing so. You are absolutely right. There is an underlying fear of judgement and criticism that we can often question if we are ready for. Anybody posting a video has to have the courage to put themselves available to the viewer. The same cannot be said about people who leave hateful comments and are often anonymous.
Thanks for watching! It does take courage to post on social media, but often the best things in life are on the other side of fear so we need to take the leap and trust that things will work out ✨
Great point.
I love that you presented the balance between expecting the best and the worst. Thanks for posting, I love the message!
I appreciate the support, Jessie! I'm glad to hear that the message resonated with you! 🙂
I find writing out the fears on a piece of paper somehow feels more cathartic than on the screen. Definitely agree on your tips of facing it and seeing it objectively.
I agree! Writing on paper has worked better for me when it comes to overcoming fears. Love that you're interested in positive psychology! It's one of my favorite subjects 💗
Glad your inspiration made you put out this message. You ARE bigger than your fear. Society has taught us to conform to the norm and it's in human nature to seek approval and validation. I think this is why it's hard for some people to step out of their comfort zone and do something that might get them "judged" or critiqued" Great angle of this topic Ellen!
Exactly, it can be tough sometimes, but pushing past the fear is what helps us grow. Thanks for watching! 🙂
Just saw your shout out on Trish's video :D
Love this topic! I found that I struggled with this a lot but after doing it a bit, I managed to get more comfortable with it. I think it really does come to overcoming that first initial fear
It's great that you've gotten more comfortable posting on social media. Keep it up! 🙂
Beautiful share, Ellen. Yes! focus on the reason why you are posting it. Thanks for sharing.

I'm so glad to hear that. Thanks for watching! 💖
I can't think of anything more debilitating to a creative person than fear of failure. When it creeps in you can actually feel the fun and enthusiasm step right out. I really like your perspective on "flipping" the fear and viewing it as something you desire. That makes a lot of sense to me and seems much easier to address than fear of an unknown monster. Do you still feel fear before you post now?
It's great to hear that the idea of flipping the fear resonated with you. I still get a little nervous sometimes when I post, but I think it's because I care about my videos and hope they resonate with people. It comes with the territory of doing creative work. You don't know how people are going to react to it, but somehow you have to find the courage to post anyways.
@@theellenpham Very true. I appreciate that you care about what you post and think about your viewers.
