Trivia: this is a command for an anime. When the band presented the song to the production, they said they would love something more spectacular for the introduction. So Kanami (who has a solid background in classical piano) studied orchestra music and composition for a while and came back with that wonderfull introduction. She's incredible.
Self conversation of a new Band-Maid explorer going through their catalog: "This is the coolest song I've heard;" "This is the best song from them;" "Highest energy performance I've seen;" "This is my favorite song;" "No, this one is the best;" "Unbelievable! There are no bad songs;" And on-and-on a 100 times... ;-)
Kanami's song writing at her best as she writes to challenge all members, including herself, to up their game. No one is safe when Kanami writes. Anime music at it's finest right here.
In an interview, Saiki said she was a bit embarrassed standing in front of the wings. And Miku did some shots shooting a red arrow... which were not included in the final MV. They had never composed an orchestral piece before but, as always, Kanami came through after researching and talking to fellow musicians. This band is so hard working! Also, those are real feathers, not CGI 😊🤘
Another new band alert. BAND MAID has been the best find for me in years and I haven't listened to much more since discovering them. But on the weekend I found a band called "The Sixsters". No comparison to BAND MAID as they are in a league of their own. However, The Sixsters are a band everyone needs to hear (in my opinion). A five piece all female group from Ukraine - I read they were in Germany now because of the war in Ukraine Try "Feels" - "Hold" - "Fever" - "City" ... and there's more. WELL worth a listen. Darren from Aust.
When I saw them in 2022 this was the opening song , Sense was written for an Anime called Platinum End , the anime co wanted an Orcestrial opening , not only did Lead guitarist Kanami write n arrange the song , she composed the Orcestrial opening .
Great song thanks! Kanami has an Eventide H9 Harmonizer on her pedal board that I believe is responsible for that synth sound. She seems to have used it a lot in the last few years.
When reactors say "It Sounds Like A Anime opening." they are accurate for this song, as it was commissioned for an anime! Kanami and Akane are on fire all the way through this song, love it!
I'm a big proponent of the "Don't call them an Anime Band their a Hard Rock Band!" and yet this is for an anime, but in the end it's still Hard Rock (With a nice mix of other genres) for me So today everybody wins
As @GaryHolloway-810 says don't burn through their catalog too quickly. You can still do one a week and it'll take you a couple years, if you don't just stick to music videos because a lot of Incredible songs don't have them
I am ride or die for BandMaid but might I suggest for a sorbet, a palate cleanser if you will, Voice of Bacophet? Trio of young women from Indonesia who play metal with a message. They've experienced death threats and social blowback from their community for playing rock music. They sing about justice and saying truth to power. God allow me please to play music is the title of my favorite song by them. Even has a little reggae feel!
I recommend you to listen to the entire Unleash!!!!! EP top to bottom because every song on it has the same kind of energy. For me it's one of the best rock albums ever.
Well, despite being a certified Maidiac, “Sense” is in the bottom 50 of my playlist. It’s a blast live, though. This was the song that, instead of cheering and fist pumping, I watched what each member was playing. It looked like they were all playing different songs at the same time, but in perfect synchronization. This one is outside my ability to follow the groove 🤷🏻 And yet, there are a bazillion Band Maid fans that have this in their top five.
That happens to some folks for Different or Corallium or... one other that I forget. Anybody who listens to a Band-Maid poppy chorus and thinks they aren't complex haven't listened to much Band-Maid. The ability to go there is just another great facet of the band.
Hey GenX, I think you're well and truly hooked... so for those of us who are going to be spending some time with you... what do you want us to call you? GenX? Or got an actual name you want us to use? I'm Mike, by the way, go figure. Great to get to know you!
Just a word of Warning cos i know you love BAND-MAID. But you seem intent on burning thru their discography as fast as possible. We've seen many reactors do that & suddenly wonder where all those subs went :)
What I can't believe is how a reactor can say how much they love them and say that they're the best group, and then only do one a week. 🤔I know I'd burn through their catalog as fast as I could no matter what the consequences. 😝🤘
@@TomClark-Futoura Tells you something about the honesty of some reactors. I don't mind reactors hyping up my favorite band to get a few views. But you and I know we're going to stick with the ones who are real fans. GenX here is a real fan, I'm pretty sure, so I think we're in for a long ride here. :)
Some reactors stop reacting to B-M maybe because they run out of things to say and also need to satisfy fans of other bands. They may still be fans and even go to Band-Maid concerts, just not reacting that often because they can't resist listening to their entire album and then there won't be any "first time reactions" left.
@@TomClark-Futoura Haha. Do you notice how many reactors say "They are one of my fave bands" but after 3 months still call them BAND-AID & can't remember anyone's name?😏

Thanks for the reaction. A blazing song. I can't even imagine another band trying to cover SENSE and making it sound even remotely close to our Maids?
