Hey man, great reaction as always. And if you’re worried about running out of thrash try the bands Overkill and Testament - they’ve both been around forever and still put out new material. Overkill had a great album just last year. They’re not thrash but I think you’d also dig Volbeat, which is heavily influenced by Metallica and country music, as well as Zakk Wylde’s band, Black Label Society.

You should try *The Warning,* 3 sisters that had a viral cover of Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' go viral when they were 14, 12, and 9 years old. But that was 2014. You should see them now - try 'Evolve' from the 2023 MTV VMAs, or their completely rebuilt 'Enter Sandman', which is on Metallica's _Blacklist_ album.

What if you reacted to the Metallica documentary "Some kind of monster"? maybe after some 20 minutes to get youtube to play it, but Metallica doesn't usually block videos. It's a 2 hour documentary about the recording of St. Anger and it's full of emotions and then I'd start with a reaction to St. Anger, it would probably be better to understand why they recorded it the way they did, metallica almost fell apart when Jason Newsted left. But I'd leave that at the very end, for now, go through what's left for you.

Jason shaved is head couple years earlier . James had cut his because he had got in a 4 wheeler accident and had a jacked up mullet because of the stiches . Kirk started balding and got major hair plugs hence the short hair cut.

Metallica dropped Inamorata Live yesterday, and it's James best vocal performance live since 1999's S&M, fyi. Black Label Society brutha, I saw that one , he has so many better songs from straight metal, to piano ballads to groove rock with killer solos. Don't have time at the moment but I'll hit you with10-15 of my faves. Black Label is the only band I like more than one or two from besides MetallicA who didn't write a song I didn't love until the Hardwired album. And still it's better than everything else. Black Label isnt as solid with banger after banger, but he's good for 5 good songs per album, sometimes more. His voice is his voice, it's not the same on all the albums, sometimes it's much less distorted, but hey it's far better than ozzy's.

This is another song that sounds better live. On the other hand, you have many more songs to discover from this band, I also suggest She Wolf by Megadeth in its live version of Rude Awakening. And I suggest other metal bands, Helloween, Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica, Nigthwish, Dragonforce, In Flames, Arch Enemy, there is a world of metal to discover friend

U might try flotsam and jetsam "suffer the masses", overkill "who tends the fire" or testament "persecuted won't forget". U still have quite a bit of Metallica songs left. Metallica "lords of summer" is one of my favorites.

Whenever a great Japanese rock song is played by any Japanese group, most westerners relate it to an Anime because that could be their first exposure to Japanese music. No big deal, but kind of silly. Japan is having kind of a great Rock/metal Renaissance with amazing song writers/composers who are not thinking of anime generally. This song was Electric Cowboy and Babymetal collaboration who are two great groups with more great music to react to. Not sure if you tried Lovebites, but may consider them to react in addition to more Band Maid and Babymetal. Lots of good shit.

The stereotypical anime girl is a trope; it isn't true and Babymetal has nothing to do with Anime or Anison, which is the music genre of Anime (Anime song is abbreviated to anison). They do fuse the Japanese music genre called Idol with metal, and have created a new genre, kawaii metal, or cute metal. This song is really more poppy than they normally go, but they were having fun here and the mash genres a ton. That was Momo screaming "everybody" by the way. To close out the trope, there are elements which are common in Japanese popular music, but they are common between genres - Jrock, Jpop, Anison, metal, Idol - but it has nothing to do with anime. But people in the West often equate any Japanese music with Anime. No anime girls here.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I, a big fan of BABYMETAL and Band-Maid both, am happy to see you start to react to BABYMETAL. The two bands are very versatile covering various styles of music. BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 16 concerts at 15 venues. I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄 . The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍 (EC boys has already played this song on their own in Sweden without BM's intervention 🤣 There is a video in YT. )

I'm sure it is unintentional, but it feels very disrespectful to leave Electric Callboy's name out of the title when it is a 50/50 collaboration.

Welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole🦊but this song is a full on 50:50 collaboration with the German band Electric Callboy (and you will get more views from their own fans if you credit them in the title of your video as well) ... if anything, although the split is 50:50, this song is more in Electric Callboy's style than BABYMETAL's. Electric Callboy are also a great band and they love to add humour in with their music and videos. You won't have seen or heard any other band quite like BABYMETAL if you care to explore more of their catalogue. They started as a fusion of Metal with J-Pop (not anime) hooks, melodies and aesthetics, but they have gone on to mix and blend so many more musical styles and genres from around the world with their metal. They have about 70 songs now, each one different to the last. You will not be able to predict what the next song will sound like (other than it will be top quality in every aspect from the vocals especially to the instrumentals, the presentation and the performance ... and they are one of the best - if not the best - live bands on the planet right now). They have songs in virtually every metal sub-genre and they add their own unique style and so much more to each one. Some songs are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between. Their voices are not stereotypical at all when you get to hear them singing live, in fact the lead vocalist Su-metal is quite extraordinarily talented and versatile, she is right up among the very best vocalists in metal. Great reaction! BABYMETAL cannot be put into one box or genre. Please check out post from @jakemuller8626. He has great insight into BM. I see Band-Maid's banner with 「世界征服」 ＝ World Domination written on it. This exact phrase was used ten years ago by BABYMETAL when they were about 15 years old. Since they were not performing much abroad, many saw this as being over-reaching, but look at them now. In 2023, they did 97 live shows in 25 countries. 🦊🦊🦊

Kawaii Partycore at it's finest. The second "Are you ready!" and the first and third "Everybody!" at the breakdown is Momometal growling, she is the one on our left most of the video. Got a pretty mean growl.

BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy music is hit or miss for me but this is the collaboration I didn't know I needed. I think this is my favorite song of 2024 so far. It is such a fun song!

I'm a huge babymetal fan but I really think you should put Electric Callboy into the title aswell. They deserve as much credit for this song as BABYMETAL does.

Welcome to the Foxhole 🦊🤘🔥 It's always nice to see more reactors getting into this amazing group, they're a global phenomenon from Japan and trust me you have seen nothing yet. Here's a brief info about this amazing group: BabyMetal is a Japanese metal dance unit created in 2010 under another Jpop/Jrock group called Sakura Gakuin, they had 11 and 12 years old when started this and become independent after 2013, they created their own genre called kawaii-metal (kawaii means cute) mixing Jpop with metal sound and different subgenres along with many more rhythms. Their name is a reference to a new genre and not related to their ages or "baby" faces, is a pun intended play words with "heavy-metal" which sounds similar to "baby-metal". They are: *SuMetal* lead vocalist, now 26. *MoaMetal* scream and dance, now 24. *MomoMetal* scream and dance, she's 21 and is the new official member since April 1st last year. -YuiMetal- scream and dance, former member since 2018. None of them are related. After 2018 you'll see backup dancers performing along with them but none of them are official members, they don't sing, only dance, but that status change recently like i said. There's no other group like them around and teaming up with this group from Germany just elevated them even higher. Last weekend of May they did the live premiere of this song in Japan at FOX_FEST (a festival held by BM) and everyone went wild with this collab. The girl in the middle is the lead singer SuMetal and she actually dance less than the other girls (MoaMetal and MomoMetal) because she sings most of the time but regardless she can dance and sing and you won't even notice she's out of breath. About this song: This was filmed in Germany and the concept of the MV is they're breaking boundaries with the genres and they don't care about corporation decisions, the office with the suits workers and the Japanese boss kinda represent that. The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference. The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus but it's probably used way back before in more songs. The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with some guitar elements. The moment when they're breaking the wall is another homage to Aerosmith x Run DMC - Walk This Way MV, symbolism of breaking the boundaries with the music genres like I already said. Also one of the singers is holding up the cable with electricity during the breakdown could be a reference to "The Cable Guy" movie. Btw I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that in the MV, although fans spotted in the live version, so it was her after all. Love the euro dance and trance elements mixed with metal, they also did it with Time Wave, one of my favorite BM song from latest album The Other One. There's probably more references but I'm a little bit far away from pop culture nowadays that I'm probably missing a lot more. Fun fact: EC said in a reactor comment and later at their own reaction video that they did the bursting the walls scene in one shot, there will be a bts so we're waiting for more. The crew had to put all those disco ball on the celling manually just for this song.
