I could totally handle this sound coming from an x-cab Dakota....just not a 1500 crew cab. Still interested in the RHO and VERY interested in the Hurricane HO
Nearly 600 Wheel Torque and nearly the same WHP is definitely an insane improvement over the 5.7 HEMI, but I can’t get over the sound. This video has single handedly taken my opinion on the RAM RHO from a 3/10 to a 6.5/10. And what’s up with those tail lights? Does the TRX look like that? It just looks kinda goofy and aftermarket, idk why.
Wow man, this is literally what we hoped for. Please change the oil at 500 to 1000 miles, especially because the alcohol in the fuel. The engine is making more power per cubic inch more than anything I can think of. Great work though, and thank you. Baruk Hashem 1קול יהוה על המים אל הכבוד הרעים יהוה על מים רבים
Yikes 😂 talk about a confusing sound. Side question, say you have a 2.4 liter blower, 400ci block, would you recommend a bigger Whipple, and some 62 T4 (can go higher obviously) turbos for compound boost? I thought a smaller blower might be better for compound boost, but the shops around here are telling me otherwise. I’m looking to achieve roughly 1200 HP at the track and 800-900 on the street. Yes I know about supporting mods, possible triple fuel pump and stuff like that.
@cussedout if a shop is telling you to compound boost with a whipple. They do not care about your goals, or performance in any way. IF that ihi is coming off. Only way to improve is to go to a proper manifold or Gutted blower pending power goals. Throwing a whipple on for compound boost is a quick way to empty a wallet and net negative power increases.
@ I appreciate this! Should I port my 2.4l hellcat blower then? Or can my numbers be achieved with some hellion twin turbos? Sorry if I missed what you meant/were saying.
I don’t really care how much power that makes. It’s terrible. And frankly: sounds much like the Fiat this engine is based off of. Yup Stellantis can keep that. I appreciate all of this in the name of science, but man: that would be the envy of no one.
@@wesharris07that’s insanely false. The only one that is cheaper on the rho variant is the absolute base package and no one is buying that. We know nothing about a TT HO hurricane. The 3.5L TT eco boost has been used for 10 years now and perfected. I’m sure ford is going to drop a tune soon. And even at that. Goosetune will do its job.
@@themarcg you’re absolutely false lol. I just canceled my base f150 raptor build. All I added was the pano roof and bedliner and it was $83k. My rho has bed utility group which is more than just the liner for the same price ford charged and the level 1 at $84k. And as far as a tune again brother that’s another $1k on the price to add to the raptor. And it will only be about 50 hp from factory. Then another $1k for goosetunes to add more. So now you’re at $85k. Oh and wait the best deal you might get is $2k off the raptor if you’re lucky. Most will sell it at msrp. I got $14k off of my rho. The only thing you’re right about is how long is the ecoboost has been out and but unfortunately if you look at recalls they have a crap ton of issues right now. Oh and gen 2 raptor HO ecoboost forged internals. Gen 3 and gen 3.5 is just a tune no different between regular 3.5 ecoboost and raptor variant. That’s from a ford technician.
@ I got 87k otd with my 24 pano and bed liner. Turbo inlet tubes, cold hot intercooler pipes, intercooler, bov, cai, catch can, and floored just about everywhere and I have yet to have any issues. I don’t touch anything pentastar anymore. After my jlu was in the shop every 2 months for warping engine bay plastics, a leak from the rear main seal 2x with dodge saying that’s normal, and blowing out suspension parts like a kid with cavities I gave up. I believe the reason the rho is so cheap vs the raptor is because stellantis was doing so bad. With a guy who prioritized Europe over the states sales struggled. Don’t get me wrong the rho is a beauty I almost got a trx myself when I was shopping last year but I’m not trying to compensate for something. Only time will tell with this rho.
I like the way it sounds. I come from import car scene. I think she sounds just fine. Are v8s a nice sound yes. But this still sounds good.
I can’t wait to see the full potential of this content, excellent content

Compare it to the 6.4.... but understand it literally replaced the 6.2SHC

I doubt that it could sound worse...especially for a truck.
How did you make a pick up sound like a civic ?
@robfrmny21 Dodge/Ram now makes a Inline 6cyl Twin Turbo engine called the hurricane. So it has 2 more cylinders than a civic
That sound is so out of place 😂
So is the Hurricane similar to the Barra? Some tones seem it.

I ordered the J before tuner it’s on the way, but removing the cat does it void the warranty?
@glenndavis06 correct, if you take it in this way - it would void warranty. But is not an overly hard swap back to stock.
Sounds like it needs an resonator its too raspy, buy a x pipe w resonator and it sill sound a lot better
You know the 3.0 hurricane is an inline 6 right? No way to put an X in it without completely redoing the exhaust from the turbos back

Sweet 70k RAM turned civic bro…. That’s a disgrace to every V8 truck built.
What made it sound so horrible was going from a TRX to this hunk of crap 😂
You turned it on.
Yeaa sounds like garbage
He's driving it to the dump. So he can walk to the ford dealership to get a real truck. 😢
Overpriced less performance ford?

Now it really sounds like shit, thanks.
