I hope you thawed out AJ! Great review! Skoda are always understated designwise. This may stand the test of time better than a lot of other overdesigned SUVs I can think of.
Very good review , i have recently bought the 4x4 with the turbo diesel 150bhp only in UK, really pleased with it after two Tiguans . One omission on your part , if you get the 4x4 it has the multi-link rear suspension with makes for a a better ride than the rear torsion bar in all the other models. Keep up the good work !
excellent review aj, well done sir. not sure what you guys are doing but the video is exceptional quality, its very polished. great work, keep it up. lol @ 24:15, look like you are training for a soccer/football game.
Good review. All I needed to know. There are not many alternatives out there, if you want a small inexpensive small SUV with offroad winter capabilities. This is it.
This was awesome! I wish you guys did this type of review of every car out there, testing them in different driving conditions, and pushing them to the limit how it matters, which is not in a track, but out there, where normal people drive.
Nice review AJ! We have also a lot snow here and tomorrow will be also around -20c so can do some driving with my Karoq ;) I do not have 4x4 but not missing it. In a month snow will be gone and i dont have use for 4 wheel drive often. Overall it is good car for its price and what it offers. Also i really like 1.5TSI much more than 2.0TDI. It has better acceleration and is nice quiet for city driving. I drove this car in a night and snowy road. Man really awesome. Those fog lights that are quite high up placed add nice visibility when its snowing.
Honestly and definitely really good intro & review Thanks AJ & Jonas ★★★★★. I believe that, you will select a sport car and review it on Nürburgring. See you next review...
Great job AJ, I found that I like your reviews most, because I'm finding more interesting technical details than on others reviews, although all Autogefühl team is great :) But I found current Škodas least attractive from all VW group for me, although they are really practical cars.
Very very awesome work, Jonas and AJ! Nice intro, stunning landscape shots, great inside presentation of forcing the hill, and , unexpected comeo of Jonas! Great job! This is far more than review, it's, damn, movie! 👏👏👏
Thanks for the review, quite useful info especially about the off road and snow capabilities. The sport Line looks so much better, especially in the grey with black trim too.
kick to open boot: the car needs to be locked for it to work... other than that, great great work, love the production and the inclusion of bloopers :)
Apart from the back seat headrest phone holder (pre-frontal lobbo in a shunt anyone ?) this is eminently sensible solid Skoda.... but as interesting as porridge !!
Great review, I would add headroom in the rear seats may only be a issue for tall passengers on models with the glass sunroof, otherwise it's fine for someone who is 6ft 1-2in tall.
Great detailed review as always. I'm curious why Varioflex seats are being introduced like they are something new. They are exactly thesame as on my 2010 Yeti. But, yes, vey useful. If the Karoq is the natural successor to my Yeti than what does the Kodiaq equate to? Thanks for the review .
super auto mam je od roku super dopracowana jednostka 1,5 150 km wspaniałe wykończenie super przyśpieszenie i wszystko dopracowane w najmniejszych szczegółach
awesome man.. detailed review.. but in common, most of the review missing out one point, that how the night drive experience with given head light.. are the head light luminous is enough to drive through pitch black dark night... is it so glaze for the drivers who coming from the opposite side.. other indicators of the dash board switches are visible enough to see during the night time..
RS5 is an important topic in car community, the hypothesis is; is it justifiable to spend around 80 000 EURO for a car that can be so comfortable, uninteresting, and too much ordinary in the superfast midsize coupe segment where M/AMG dominate with hardcore, sports setups. I drove RS5, 1 week ago, for 5minutes, I can see why car reviewers don't praise this car, it some moment I was thinking that I am in regular S5, but in dynamic mode, it's hard and aggressive. Let Tomas decide, if Audi hit home run with this RS5.
PLEASEEEE test the NEW Subaru XV (and maybe some other Subaru models) in the same sorrounding as here - maybe with a comparison with some other brands and models? ;)
swipe the leg side ways. the middle seat takes some pratice the strap must be pulled in correct angle. look at the rail there is only two places where the seat can be positioned so that the electric cable connector fits, had mine for a liitle more than week. dsg auto autohold takes getting used to other way everything works and build quality is nice
The difference in traction between 4x4 and FWD is obvious but not as disproportional as you have presented it. The issue is that there is certain degree of skill at take off you can't just pin down the accelerator at the start as the FWD driver did - "gently" as Stuart used to say.
You get different size cars for different purposes. So why small cars are being rigorously tested to suit 2 or more 190+ cm passengers. Nobody will buy this size car for such need, nobody. You buy small (under 4,50) car for two adults or those with small to medium size kids. It's like testing how you can fit 2m skis to 1m bag. And some info for the noise part. You are correct that those nordic type of studded tyres are big reason for noise. Another reason is, that for the roads in Finland to cope with those tyres, the road is made of asphalt mixed with small rocks. That makes all roads in Finland noisier than in Central Europe Thanks for the review!
I dont know, i think its going to do alright. The exterior should age same as others and the interior is well designed i expect it to age better than others
I'm sorry but do u really have to do a full review every video u've already done a review of the karoq why do it for every model of the karoq it's really wasteful
I'm with you all the way Autogefuhl - it's your channel, you do it, do all the work, people aren't forced to watch it, or pay! However, keen car people receive fantastic content, and very entertaining videos - additionally in this case here, we have the bonus of the DSG AWD TDI version - on snow!
A very capable little car built around super bland Euro box styling. So bland I could never choose it. No auto box, 4wd petrol version so off the shopping list for many people.
What is going on Autogefuhl. Why they only review German cars. What happen with Korea cars and others. Are they not accessible to review or not. Why you review several times the same cars. Only VW group. Where is Autogefuhl electrification (EV CARS). 🤔🤔🤔
We review 150 cars per year, more than you can possibly even watch. Just in the last couple of weeks, we have reviewed those non-german cars: 1. Skoda Karoq (Czech company) 2. Skoda Kodiaq ua-cam.com/video/ztVDMzW39lE/v-deo.html 3. Volvo XC60 ua-cam.com/video/W5wnTBwBqUg/v-deo.html 4. Range Rover Velar ua-cam.com/video/jH6W4z-e79Y/v-deo.html 5. Kia Ceed ua-cam.com/video/GHyLXlTH0co/v-deo.html 6. Volvo XC40 ua-cam.com/video/Ac8rL-qI-Yw/v-deo.html 7. Cadillac CTS ua-cam.com/video/F_EVFqJWcm8/v-deo.html 8. Honda Civic Type R ua-cam.com/video/7Aa_Z7TgmWo/v-deo.html 9. Cadillac CT6 ua-cam.com/video/zWHoOI4y_98/v-deo.html Tomorrow we ll shoot a Mazda new Skyactiv X engine special. The next test vehicles we ll drive are e.g. Kia Stonic, Subaru XV, Ford Ka, Nissan Qashqai, Nissan X-Trail... ok I ll stop now. Now what was your point again? Which car do you want to see which we havent reviewed yet? For electric vehicles, you can just search as well, we review a lot of electric vehicles. ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=autogefuehl+EV It's just that the majority of vehicles are not electric yet. Soon we will deliver you an exclusive long-term electric car durability test. Still, there is nothing to be ashamed of in showing German cars. There are a lot of German cars and of course they give us better access to the vehicles as the German manufacturers are original manufacturers in Germany where the importers are very small importer companies with a little % of the budget. They cannot hand out that many vehicles and cannot do that many events. So our choice is: Should we cancel more German cars just because they are German?
Autogefuhl and Team. Now that REALLY is a good answer. I cannot add hardly anything more. Except that long-term Autogefuhl viewers and supporters know this; and know that just a little bit of basic research reveals all the numerous and wide variety of vehicles that have been Reviewed in detail by the Team.
The best and most detailed review I Have ever seen!
thanks frank !
I hope you thawed out AJ! Great review! Skoda are always understated designwise. This may stand the test of time better than a lot of other overdesigned SUVs I can think of.
Fantastic review in off-road and such professionalism!
Very good review , i have recently bought the 4x4 with the turbo diesel 150bhp only in UK, really pleased with it after two Tiguans .

Cheers man!
Great video, Chaps! Intro was homage to 'Fargo' film. 18.43 - Škoda condoms? Simply clever indeed.
Great comment!!
Hamish - Ha! Excellent - very clever!
Thanks, Oli! You're very kind.
Cheers, Gordon! If Thomas' merchandising plans go ahead, there could be Autogefühl-branded condoms soon - you never know :)
excellent review aj, well done sir. not sure what you guys are doing but the video is exceptional quality, its very polished. great work, keep it up. lol @ 24:15, look like you are training for a soccer/football game.
Always great to have you here
Good review. All I needed to know. There are not many alternatives out there, if you want a small inexpensive small SUV with offroad winter capabilities. This is it.
Thanks for filming this video in Finland. I hope to see more filming in Finland and comparing the of AWD and front wheel drive for example.
It's also very fun to look at.
This was awesome! I wish you guys did this type of review of every car out there, testing them in different driving conditions, and pushing them to the limit how it matters, which is not in a track, but out there, where normal people drive.
👌
Nice review AJ!

Great Job AJ.
you posted this comment like 2 min after the video went live so how do you know
Doenst take long to realize it's good :)
Great job AJ, I found that I like your reviews most, because I'm finding more interesting technical details than on others reviews, although all Autogefühl team is great :)

Thx so much!
The new intro's are nice ;)
Very very awesome work, Jonas and AJ! Nice intro, stunning landscape shots, great inside presentation of forcing the hill, and , unexpected comeo of Jonas! Great job! This is far more than review, it's, damn, movie! 👏👏👏
thanks ! please recommend =)
you both are awesome 😀😀 Jonas and AJ ..keep going.. great
thanks ! =)
Excellent review
🙏
Thanks for the review, quite useful info especially about the off road and snow capabilities. The sport Line looks so much better, especially in the grey with black trim too.
Keep up the good job 😎
kick to open boot: the car needs to be locked for it to work... other than that, great great work, love the production and the inclusion of bloopers :)
Great compact SUV.
Love the rear without pipes.
Very interesting and great review AJ.
Fantastic. Just fantastic
Apart from the back seat headrest phone holder (pre-frontal lobbo in a shunt anyone ?) this is eminently sensible solid Skoda.... but as interesting as porridge !!
Review the new V60 perhaps as well? I think they are quite cool. Anyways nice intro!
Not revealed yet
Great video! 10+
great review thanks
If you could have the interior of the Karoq and the exterior of the Ateca, it would surely be a very nice car!
I agree :-). I really don't like the interior of the Ateca.
Great review, I would add headroom in the rear seats may only be a issue for tall passengers on models with the glass sunroof, otherwise it's fine for someone who is 6ft 1-2in tall.

A useful review. Thank you both
Very helpful thank you.
You got lucky. It’s -20˚c here in Finland right now.
Ville Pusa Joo se alkaa intialaista viluttaa kun o pakkasta -30c...
great, thanks , we just bought this in Finland.
appreciated! enjoy!
Oh look [45:10]...you could have driven the car in snow mode. It would have been good to see how that changes the car's setting for snow setup.
awesome man.. detailed review.. but in common, most of the review missing out one point, that how the night drive experience with given head light.. are the head light luminous is enough to drive through pitch black dark night... is it so glaze for the drivers who coming from the opposite side.. other indicators of the dash board switches are visible enough to see during the night time..
Tomas when are we going to see review of AUDI RS 5 2018. Most of us agree, it would be fun to see what you think about it :)
ok i ll take it on the list
RS5 is an important topic in car community, the hypothesis is; is it justifiable to spend around 80 000 EURO for a car that can be so comfortable, uninteresting, and too much ordinary in the superfast midsize coupe segment where M/AMG dominate with hardcore, sports setups. I dont know what to think about RS5? Is it too soft for this segment or we dont understand Audi intentions.
Do it ASAP, plz
Don't bring green one to test, such an ugly color :D white with black carbon would be perfect.
I became my karoq next month and I'm excited about the new led headlights. Are they good?
Sure
And today on 'Auto Gefull' Tito wolf is reviwing a skoda xD

Yes Subaru XV is already planned =)
Autogefühl Thanks! Great! :)
when you test the upcoming audi q3 could you explain what the differences are and if its really worth more
sure

ok, so where does this compete with the Duster? EXCLUDING the price.. i mean durabilty, cost to fix, ruggedness
what is the color ? steel grey ?
Fabric seats are a pain in the ass if you get them dirty :D That's mostly why people prefer leather, especially for your daily driver car.
Fabric is better for seating climate - and of course for our climate
The themes of car safety, driver assistance and security systems is not covered enough.
37:07 isnt it called "DDC"? Dynamic damping control? If not, what the heck is DCC? :D
sh0xXx89 dynamic chassis control
Ahh...gotya! :D Thank you!
Aditya Jayaram And it was called cdc in T-reg 7L model
skoda-iaa2017.presskitservice.com/de/skoda-karoq-fahrwerk-und-getriebe-fuenf-fahrmodi-und-intelligenter-allradantrieb/ just google it
I'd have chosen it over the Ateca if the rear bumper didn't look like it came off a Dacia.
Wo ist Thomas?
Wie AJ sagte, hier :)
ua-cam.com/video/sS_ypFTSddU/v-deo.html
looked at this but ended up with a 4x4 yeti :)
I think the design will age pretty badly (front mostly)...
I dont know, i think its going to do alright. The exterior should age same as others and the interior is well designed i expect it to age better than others
This harshness level is too much. 9:43
Sounds like a tractor 28:20. Diesel is sooo 2013.
Benjamin Because it’s so cold? It’s normal.
Very beautiful car
I'm sorry but do u really have to do a full review every video u've already done a review of the karoq why do it for every model of the karoq it's really wasteful

Thomas Koskela - well put. Well said. (But I fear not very intelligent persons will ever grasp this!)
Who's the hell still drives deisels?!
Sounds like a tractor
Very plain and ugly design
