What I like is that Norman Osborn doesn't act as crazy as the Green Goblin. "We all ware masks, Spider-Man. But which is the real one? The one that hides your face, or the one that is your face?"
Of course he doesnt, he already is/was... just like the quote said. You cant be crazy and evil if you're already crazy and evil. Norman is the mask, the green goblin is the real face...the real norman osborne. Split personality or not, the Goblin is the best of his Archenemy's (Goblin, Dock Ock, Venom) hands down. Beerus i doubt that,as he's proven to hold well against Batman and formidable villians like Lex Luthor in numerous altercations and had the upper hand multiple times, but then again stranger things have happened
Jonathan Hirsch Goblin can lift at least 8-10 tons (Since he’s around Spidey’s normal strength range) Batman can only lift about 1000 pounds, Goblin would punch both heads into blood paste
@@antg2183 I hear what you are trying to say,but remember that Joker kinda has an unofficial regenerative healing factor ,as he's survived falls from great height, major accidents, been in brawls with heroes like Superman,Wolverine and withstood energy blasts from galactic/cosmic powerhouses like Green Lantern, and still made out alive and able to walk(,or at least) limp away. Also,Batman's cowl would provide adequate protection and GG is supposedly nearly as strong as Spidey
Jonathan Hirsch I don’t think you really understand, GG ain’t no Superman, Superman “punch” to disable enemies (His whole speech about the world being cardboard in his fight against Darkseid in the animated series comes to mind) while GG punches to kill, Joker survives unsurvivable situations sorely due to plot armor (He’s a top 3 villain in DC) Once he’s in a situation where his plot is canceled out (The old crossover Marvel comics where Punisher had him shitting his pants cause Punisher was really gonna kill) then you see exactly what Joker should be portrayed as, a person who only gets away with half the shit that he gets away with solely due to Plot armor, popularity, and the fact that the hero’s can’t kill him.
@@antg2183 I know that The Joker is kind of immortal by comic standards due to fan popularity and plot armour, kind of like Loki in the sense that he will never be truly killed off, and that villians like him and Green Goblin do not hold back, but it would be a very invigorating and fascinating fight, regardless of who would win and I understand what you mean about how theoretically, Joker is physically a knife at a gunfight compared to legit superhuman/metahuman villains like GG and Sabertooth, but the real question here is who would then truly have the last laugh

@@mlb12041998 They say Doc Ock is Spidey's number 2 villain due to the shits he did to spidey in the comics. He killed off Peter and stole his body then became the Superior Spiderman. i personally consider Venom an interesting Spidey foe but I prefer when they team up.
@@pablito8756 oh believe me I know that's why they consider him number 2 but, that doesn't make it correct. Yes it's true that Dock Ock is a constant and formidable threat to Spidey. But, he doesn't really care to much about Spidey to the extent Eddie & Norman do. Eddie & Norman took their losses to Peter on a personal level which in turn motivated them to mentally and emotionally torture him. Otto thought of him as a mere nuisance and just wanted him out of the way, no more no less. If a villain is to be classified as an arch-nemesis to a hero then their main objective must be to stop at nothing to ensure the heroes suffering. And Doctor Otto Octavius doesn't fit the bill.
@@Satya-OM well, I think there’s so much to it. (I took a while to write all of this haha so I’d appreciate if you read it) So I’ll talk about the movie mainly but I’m a fan of the character in general so I’ll also take examples from the comics and other media. First of all he has a strong introduction in the film, barely a couple seconds and you already know Norman Osborn, a business man who cares about his son, but is very hard on him. He’s a scientist, an extraordinarily intelligent man that in many ways is similar to Peter Parker (this is one of the main aspects on why he’s so interesting, I’ll elaborate later on) so Peter sees him as a role model, as the movie goes on, you can clearly see there’s mutual respect between Peter and Norman. But there’s one difference between the both of them, a single difference that can determine everything in anyone’s life: the conception of power. Norman sees power as the one, most important thing in life, he doesn’t distinguish between good and evil, for him “there is only power and those too weak to seek it” as Lord Voldemort says. I’ve always been fascinated by villains, in many ways I find them even more interesting than heroes, there are many types of villains; the full evil villains, those who don’t really have a reason to be evil (they usually want power) but it’s just in their nature and they enjoy being evil, like Emperor Palpatine or Voldemort, the tragic villains that turn evil (or that are pushed to make evil deeds) from a tragedy, like Darth Vader or Doctor Octopus, the villains with convictions, the ones that make evil acts in order to accomplish a goal based on their conviction, like Kingpin, Magneto or Thanos and the ones that seek revenge like Venom. If you take a good look at Green Goblin he has a little bit of every single one of these. He was always a sociopath, he believed in a world of losers and winners, so he couldn’t be a loser, he had to keep his company by any means necessary, even if that meant put his own life at risk, the accident amplified all of this, his thirst of power, his anger and madness all of that was amplified and concentrated into a whole new personality: the Green Goblin. The Goblin is not a separate individual, he’s just the darkest side of Norman Osborn, the manifestation of his inner demon, that slowly starts taking over Norman’s mind. So here’s when one of the most interesting parts of this movie comes to play. SpiderMan and The Goblin’s relationship. Peter Parker used his power for his own benefit, acting selfishly and arrogantly, and when he was struck by tragedy, his greatest most important lesson was reaffirmed “with a great power comes a great responsibility” so he starts using his power to help others, save people and give them hope, he becomes a hero, and it’s so interesting because all of this happens as Norman is also struck by tragedy when everyone turn their back at him, and they even want him fired of his own company. The opposite parallelism in this film is brutal, because unlike Peter, after suffering his own personal tragedy The Goblin uses his power to take everyone out of the way, it didn’t matter if he had to kill them, in fact he enjoyed the sense of power and control he had over everyone that opposed him, he enjoyed being evil because he is also a psychopath. Ok, so in the comics he takes this even further, a very cool aspect of the goblin that wasn’t completely explored in the film, is the way he uses his manipulative and great intellect to get what he wants and gain more and more power in the criminal underworld (as seen in the Spectacular Spider-Man), then the US government, making his own Dark Avengers, and ultimately the whole world, creating an Empire of his own and even getting close to invading Asgard, his thirst for power was limitless and he represented one of the biggest and most dangerous threats, not only for Spider-Man, but for the whole Marvel Universe. Coming back to the movie, Norman is exactly what would happen if Peter didn’t have uncle Ben to guide him, so what happens when these two opposite forces collide. The Green Goblin sees in SpiderMan an opportunity to gain even more power at the begging, and of course Spidey sees a threat for civilians, so he tried to stop him, but Norman didn’t want to kill him, he wanted to corrupt him and make him his own personal weapon, but he didn’t succeed, in that moment The Goblin started taking it personal, it was not only about the power anymore, it was about his pride, again he couldn’t be a looser, he wouldn’t just let SpiderMan go after he said no to him, he would either corrupt him or destroy him. The way I see it, the Goblin had to corrupt Spider-Man, he had to prove to himself and to the world that not even someone as “good” as Spider-Man was incorruptible. It was personal to him. But the way he makes it personal is what makes it so scary, he wanted vengeance, but he wanted to destroy him in every way possible, he’s a threat to Peter in every aspect, physical, emotional and psychological, plus the fact that he respected him and saw him like a son, here’s another interesting scene of struggle between the Goblin and Norman (which are actually just the evil part of the same person and the small and every time weaker shadow of the good he had left) when Norman says he can’t do it, but his own demon owns him once again. Attacking someone you see as a son, for power, vengeance and the conviction that even he can be corrupted, is something I would call madness. All of this plus, his amazing design which I’ve always loved, the pumpkin bombs, the glider, the suit (the one from the movie and the ones from the comics as well) all of that makes it even more compelling to me. So, he becomes a truly evil character, that slowly left madness take over who he was, he became a monster, a monster that would kidnap innocent children and be willing to kill them just to make a point and again… enjoy it, accompanied with a maniacal laugh (another of the characteristics that make him so iconic). He makes Spider-Man choose between his responsibility as a hero and his loved one, in a climax that the Goblin intended to be moral and ultimately break him and corrupt him, destroy his heart, make him wish he were dead(as he actually accomplished in the comics, where he has also taken his rivalry with Spider-Man way too far, finding more than disturbing and horrifying ways to torment and destroy Peter) in the movie, Peter manages to save both, so it all came to a physical showdown. The final showdown between these two is so epic, nothing compared to the new MCU fights (I love the MCU btw), this fight between SpiderMan and the Green Goblin is so brutal, you can feel the emotion, you can feel the rage in every punch and the conflict for Peter when he finds out the father figure he saw in Norman, was actually a mad murderer. Norman had fully turned into the Goblin by that point, when he tried to trick Peter into his own death. His own power ended up killing him. In the very last moment of his life, there was one thing he still had left of the man he once was, his son Harry, the last thing he thought was he didn’t want his son to know who he really was. Even as this monster, he still cared about his son. The struggle between this constant shadow of light in him, that vanishes by the end of the movie, and the horrifying And monstrous demon inside of him is performed masterfully by Willem Dafoe, his acting is outstanding and a really important part of why he’s such a good character. So, in short, the Green Goblin is not a common villain, he’s a bit of every type of villain, complex and scary, a man corrupted by his own power thirsty demon, who had a twisted relationship with the hero, a personal challenge to destroy him in every level and corrupt him, the design and the acting of this monster that enjoyed being evil is just phenomenal. I am and I’ve always been fascinated by this character, he is and will always be my favorite character in the world, and I couldn’t be more thrilled he’s coming back to the big screen played once again by the legend himself Willem Dafoe, and continuing form the last point of his story, when he fully embraced his evil side. Even more than seeing Tobey and Andrew, I’m beyond excited about Gobby’s return! Excuse me if some of this is not correctly spelled or there are some mistakes haha I’m not a native English speaker, so I’m still perfecting my written English. Also excuse me if I extended way too much with my argument, again it’s my opinion and of course it’s subjective, it’s not a fact that he’s the best character of all time, but he is for me and all of these (and probably some others that I forgot) are the reasons why I think that. If you actually read all of this, thank you.
I love the scene when he is sitting down with Parker, his son, Aunt May & Mary Jane because it was the stage that the Green Goblin took charge of Osborn fully.
Man, i miss the days when SpiderMan was a grown ass man and not a kid all the time. Makes me wonder what Spidey would of been like if FOX had got the rights to the character and not SONY.

I can’t; green goblin is too perfect of a villain.
Green Goblin is the best villain in comic history, I luv him so much
Green Goblin and The Joker. These are the only 2 guys i wouldn't mind taking over the world
Is it just me or when Green Goblin said the "spat in my face" line didn't it sound like Popeye
I heard it to
+s gallagher
I got a Daffy Duck vibe instead.
I love the scene when he is sitting down with Parker, his son, Aunt May & Mary Jane because it was the stage that the Green Goblin took charge of Osborn fully.
My fav Spiderman villan!
The joker would be jealous of the Goblins laughter.
6:14 Inspired me to play a Nintendo DS.
Me and this video, WERE GONNA HAVE A HELL OF A TIME
Nice reference ;)
1:39 Goblin's mouth doesn't even move wtf
It's just a mask
You can see his mouth behind the mask if you look. It doesn't even move.
This comment section is odd
"Finish it!" Best line in cinema history.
I liked the part in the first movie when he was having that talk with spider man on the roof
When I finish doing the dishes and my family and bring more plates
YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I'VE SACRIFICED !!???
Da Foe was Da Man in this movie. Hands down!
Willem was Da foe in this movie!
"we have an unidentified object closing fast.............oh my god IT'S WILLEM DAFOE AND HE'S PISSED, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES"
Green goblin, Wilson Fisk, baron zemo, and venom are the best marvel villains. And don’t forget shades.
Geez, Norman must have one heck of a sore throat to do all that laughing...
"OUT, AM I?!!!" That part still kicks ass!! 1:14
He is still trapped alongside MJ Venom Dormammu Carnage Silvia and Spot in portal.
"IMPRESSIVE! but i like ya cut g" *BON*
"Do what you need to with her, then broom her fast!" That always cracks me up. :D
This just appeared in my recommendations... Here before it blows up
FINISH IT. FINISH IT!!!
6:22 wow he broke the 4th wall like Deadpool
Green goblin laughs spidey says u know that laugh is really getting on my nerves lol
6:10 Hahaha.
the green goblin is like the joker of the spiderman franchise.
Toomes: "I'm what you call me, I'm the Vulture!"
Norman: "I called you a buzzard!"
Toomes: "what?" (Toomes quits villainy forever)
7:45 that is an absolute SAVAGE beating for spidey
Those hooks and uppercuts are no joke. The scary thing is Willem Dafoe did 98% of his stunts and that beat down had some real hits in there.
I like how you layered the scenes because some of the different shows blended together.
Green goblin is awesome
1:09 is green goblin dream?
Ok, wow... just... wow
iownu92 Ghkrlanam- THAT WAS SO BADASS
8:06 XD Someone should remix that.
7:37- 8:15 goblins kung fu
Norman Osborne (willem dafoe) spitting some truth from 3:06-3:20
12 yrs ago this uploader wouldn't have even thought that goblin will come back 😏🙃
Man, the way Norman acted towards MJ I half expected Harry to get in his dad's face about it. Not cool.
Well he wasnt wrong about her.
Man, i miss the days when SpiderMan was a grown ass man and not a kid all the time. Makes me wonder what Spidey would of been like if FOX had got the rights to the character and not SONY.
But in this movie he cried like a bitch all the time.
It would be interesting if Bryan Singer directed the film considering he directed X1, X2, and Days of Future Past. But Sam Raimi is good too so don't leave him out.
Willem Dafoe & Steve Blum are the best Green Goblins, *_BAR NONE_*
"OUT AM I?!"
0:35 “No I’m not the hobgoblin n/__aaa!”
Batman vs Joker
Spider-Man vs Green Goblin
the scene at the begininning hag me screaming int joy when I first saw it!
Green goblin is better than doctor octopus
My favorite comic book character of all time.
He’s back
That laugh was getting on my nerves too, lol.
I loved the green goblin in Spectacular spider-man and Dafoes protrail in the movie
They should have had willem be the joker. If he was the joker, the age gap would make the relationship between him and Harley even more creepy and better.
I really hope he makes his debut in the MCU someday
1:49 why would they build an armored truck with double doors?
"that laugh is getting on my nerves" same
Nice vid
that intro though.
0:54 I am THE JOKER no wait, Green Goblin!
Alex FRD *frustrated burlap monster noises*
my favorite green goblin is 2002 first spider man
okay.... wow... just...wow XD
