FM William Graif, kinda known gambit junkie, had extensive videos about Von Popiel gambit and thing is, when reached this position, he proposes 5.f3 instead of 5.Qe2. Sure, that limits the attack, but in the end, idea is 5... exf3 6.Qxf3 targeting same two pieces, a bishop and b7 pawn. Maybe you should get a contact with each other regarding this opening.

Igor, you are a master of momentum. I see chess as a game of balance. The slopes are precarious. Even a puff of wind can knock your opponent off of the cliff. The foundational moves must be super precise. Rock on
8:16 Here computer recommends 9...Nc6 , after which a lot of exchanges follow but Black are never worse either materially or positionally. I understand it's a gambit, but in this variation it just never seems to pay off, and it doesn't seem trappy enough to require perfect calculation from Black. Nonetheless, thank you for the video as always. Blackmar - Diemer Gambit is currently my main opening for White, and Van Popiel Gambit seems to be an interesting variation.
Nice to see the blackmar diemer is still taking scalps. I play the ryder any chance I get. should be noted that after black plays Qxd4 and white plays Be3 that white has forced wins if black plays his Queen to b4 , d6 ,or e5.
Knight takes pawn check, forcing black knight recapture into queen standing directly in front of blacks king checkmate supported by that secret agent white square bishop
I don't think it will work at 1300 I used englund gambit a lot before 1000 but after that It didn't work... The attack is very obvious in this gambit too

Great Video! Can't wait to try it out in my next game. Thanks for teaching us how to play this gambit!
Thank you so much for everything you do! You're the best teacher I've ever found!
Appreciate you for being here💛
Great job, not cheap, one must open lines to win at chess, this does that and more, great job thank you
This is great thanks for this gambit🎉😂

Nxe4+ and after black takes with knight we play Qd5#

A good Gambit... Mr Igor... Love it
Would it work on 2000blitz opponent?
Would love to have you teach me chess.

What's the best response if black plays 4...Bg4 instead of Bf5?
Hi IGOR When you play White Queen xB7 and Black moves the Queen to B6 what will white do next?
I want to play a game with you

The pin is mightier than the sword! 😅
I tried this on every Stockfish level and not *once* did black do the mainline. You'll do a lot of waiting to employ this gambit in a game.
yeah but they still get you in a solid position
Englund Gambit but for white?
I have never played Blackmar Diemer after 1. D4. It is invariably in response to the Scandinavian. I don't know why anyone considers it a D4 opening.
That's how I get into the Blackmar Dinner Gambit too (Ryder variation). But I do play 1. d4 for the Torre Attack.

Nxe4. Nxe4. QD5 checkmate. Sorry first attempt at typing the chess code
you did pretty good + notates check and # is checkmate
@@etherealessence thank you. I didn’t know that about either of those.
Each move has turns for both players so: 1. Nxe4 Nxe4 2. Qd5# .
The first turn is always of white.
Is this Englund but from white?
Good movie.
It is similar like englund gambit
Puzzle
Qe5+
Kd7 only move
Ke6#
…Kc6?..
its Nxe4+ Nxe4 Qd5#
At the very least black can transpose this gambit into a French Defense whenever they want
Caro Kann too
won't work against me tho as I only play e5 😂
Bishop to f4 wins the game
Bf4##
Bf4+, e5, Bxe5#
There's also Nxe4+ Nxe4 Qd5#
I only play bots so pretty much any idea is a fail the bots are just too smart they know the data base your not going to trick them.
I've seen this trap before unfortunately it only works on beginners
That gambit is mid I won't cap
FIRST
4:15 "what can they do now?" Qb6 saves the black. If white Qxa8, then black Bc6 and the white Queen is trapped.
Bf4+ e5 Bxe5#?
