Yes, Saurians are clearly descended from Vishaps. Vishap were said to be exceptionally capable of evolving and adapting even back in Enkanomiya. Still, it must have been a really long and involved project by Xbalanque and Sage of Stolen Flame to turn wild dragons into their current domesticated forms that can coexist with humans.
Yup! Which is why Neuvillette says he won't go to Natlan, as his "kind" (the dragon of old, Vishaps) don't see eye to eye with Saurians (as kotarou said, domesticated Vishaps). Saurians even see Melusines as super weird life forms lol
@@kotarouinugami1745actually vishaps and saurians are separate in that they both evolved from dragons but in separate directions, so saurians are not descended from vishaps, more like they are both descended from the same source but evolved parallel to each other
And vishap even can adapt and evolve to become more like human with exception with their eyes, it's from enkanomiya event with enjou and tsumi (the vishap-people)
Some interesting details about the Hypostasis: theres actually 2 Electro Hypostasis, the active one in Mondstadt and an inactive one in Inazuma (similar to how theres 2 kinds of Electro slimes, the “2 Raidens” twist was HEAVILY implied even in 1.0), each Hypostasis representing the older Archons (like Venti and Zhongli) are weathered and older looking to match. Also while not very consistent some Hypostasis have attacks that mimic the Archons, Anemo creating updrafts, Electro having that ring of projectiles (similar to the ring behind your characters doing coordinated attacks while using Raiden and the ring behind Scaramouche while using his skill), Geo creating pillars, and Hydro summoning 3 allies (the Hydro slimes). Surprisingly there isn’t a “dead” Hydro Hypostasis unlike the “dead” Electro one which seems to imply the current Hydro one represents both Egeria and Focalors
adding lore to the hydro tulpa, it was created by Jakob trying to re create Rene in the form of Narzissenkreuz, he tried multiple times and failed, being all his subjects memebers of the Ordo that had grown suspicious of him. He would eventually suceed by using Carter remains alongside the pocket watch Alain gave Rene, and what was left of Carter and Rene remains after Narzissenkreuz was created became Caterpillar. Thats why Narzissenkreuz is just a more powerful hydro tulpa (and of course this was possible because Fontanians were Oceanids before the archon quest)

A interesting detail about the hypostasis is every time the fatui gets a gnosis the Hypostasis (of the equivalent element )gets a slightly change of appearance (they became more broken/ damaged)
I'm pretty sure they stayed the same even after each Gnosis of their respective elements stayed the same. The only ones that are broken are anemo, geo, and electro hypostasis.
Nothing changed throughout the patches nor story, the Hypostatis become more broken based off of each Archons erosion, there's also two Electro Hypostatis
Holawaqa Ngoubou was formerly the saurian partner of Menilek, one of the 6 heroes who joined Tenoch's campaign against the abyss 500 years ago whose ancient name Chasca inherited. It bore the Flamelord's Blessing (the same mark which the Traveler's Tepetlisaur companion also have). This blessing although powerful is like a curse which takes a toll on the bearer's mind and body. So to save it, was taken to the pilgrimage towards the volcano in order to have its mark cleansed. However, something happened along the way (most likely abyssal corruption) turned it into the Goldenflame Qucusaurus Tyrant we know today.
If the Hypostsis are connected with dragon sovereign how come there are two electro Hypostsis. Isn't it because of Ei and Makoto being twins? Or does it indicate that there are 2 electro Sovereign? Or what if Ei and Makoto are reincarnation of the electro Sovereign but the power is split into two?
is there any reason why most of the hypostases/whopperflowers are in early regions? cus then theres no hypostases/whopperflowers in fontain, natlan, etc
Most probably due to time constraints. Why wait for Natlan to come out to finally release the Pyro hypo? There are some lore-related theories as to why the Electro Hypo is in Mondstadt, why the Pyro and Hydro Hypos are in Inazuma and so on, but I personally think it's just due to time. Sumeru and Dendro Hypo are the only ones that make sense as to why it was delayed because there were no Dendro characters back then, and Tighnari uses the chimken mats (dunno what Collei uses).
Just as an Addendum and if you're curious, the old theory was that the old Archons died in those regions, which is why Mondstadt and Liyue had their Hypos in the same region to their element, and it was seemingly corroborated by Sumeru and the Dendro Hypo. Then Natlan came out. There's no reason for Xbalanque to have gone to Inazuma, so the theory lost all logic.
I always thought the ancient civilization of the serpent was the civilization in the chasm, not kaenriah. And now we know that the civilizations of the dragons were super advanced could even be from that time.
1:13 For the Anemo Hypo, it's not "elf", it is "Ale-f", the same "A" as in Arlecchino or "about". And He isn't "he" (as in the pronoun), it's "Hé", the same hold "h" you use for "hold" or "Hypo-", with the same "e" sound as "tele-(pathic/vision/kinetic)". Also no, the Hypos aren't the Sovereigns. The Hypos are just extremely condensed Elemental beings; super powerful slimes, if you will. And in Teyvat, elemental power leads to higher levels of consciousness, as we see with the Adepti and Yōkai. Also, the lizard thing with Sucrose means nothing, as lizards aren't native Teyvat. All life forms besides Vishaps were created by the Shining Shade of Life, besides Humanity, which was brought to Teyvat directly by the Primordial One.
Or more like, similar to the Puppet Shogun's skills. Which makes sense - Raiden Shogun certainly fought with perpetual mechanical array at some point, and sealed it beneath the sea. She may have been inspired by it, one way or another.
Electro Hypostasis is in Mondstadt, Hydro is in Sangonomiya (Inazuma), Cryo is on Dragonspine (Mondstadt), Pyro is also in Inazuma... Nope, only 3 hypostases seem to be in the appropriate country.
