Wow, super windy - i suffered from the same problem these past couple of weeks - a windscreen for the GoPro mic is worth it's weight in gold. FYI, This one hurt my ears. ;) AND, yes, there are always problems detecting at state parks down here as well. Gotta be careful. Picking up the glass and nails helped prevent folks from heading to the emergency room. Here's a tip for the fish hooks (which I find quite often)... keep a couple of wine bottle corks in your finds bag, and when you get hooks, just poke them into the cork. Helps a ton and not very large. Sorry, I'm not gonna make the hunt 10 this year, but it is an AWESOME cause!!! Smiles, and keep up the hunts!
It’s nice to see you back. I had unsubscribed thinking you had left the hobby for some reason. Now subscribed and looking to once again enjoying your hunts. Coastal North Carolina, with a Fisher F5.
What I love is they don’t want us to dig but kids can literally dig a hole you could bury someone in and leave it, no problem!. Sadly, people leaving holes everywhere and leaving them in the woods relic hunting, landowners get upset and don’t blame the. QUESTION; why would you ever use a pulse detector in Florida, no minerals and multi-frequency goes super deep with none of the digging iron issues?
Yea, what they told you is utter BS. It's a public beach and their reason is BS. You aren't doing anything, it's just someone with the park service does like metal detecting, so in order to satisfy their attitude towards it they take it out on the public. I would email the park service supervisor and demand they change the rule. They build a resort and destroy everything but want allowing detecting.
Great Video...The good thing about our area is how many miles of beaches we have. I'm also in Pinellas County. I commend you...Great job on helping our fellow Veterans.
Wow, I just went there today. Found some pennies, a small silver ring, and a bunch of iron. I use the same detector as you for the water. I didn't know that about anclote. I'll have to educate myself. Hope to see you out there some time.
Well sorry that happened!!!!! Folks don't realize just how much trash we pull out of the environment. I do really well at baseball or soccer practice fields!!! Love your channel!!!!
First of all, I enjoy your videos. I winter in Pasco and have gone to Anclote Beach. I was Planning on going there soon. SO, Thanks for the heads up. Also, we can't detect there but they are putting in a resort???????????
It has been a long time since I have seen you post a video, good to see you again. Find it interesting that you can't dig out in the water since in the state of Florida, and navigable water does not belong to anyone. Also like someone else said, you can't dig a hole, yet they are going to be disturbing a large area to built a complex and maybe cover many burial places of First Nations Peoples. I wonder if they will allow a study site to be gridded off before doing that or if the dollars gained will negate all of that? I also live in Florida, but in the North Central part and unfortunatly they would rather pave over history than let it be studied or enjoyed, but that is a university town for you. Sorry for the rant, it is good to see you back.
Hello detector friend, I really liked your video and I adopt the same idea that you did with your sieve, in placing the magnet.. I'm Adriano, I live in Ceara Brazil. ..😘
Well, that kind of stinks getting booted from that one park. I have the utmost respect for hallowed burial grounds however, since detecting was previously okay and a possible resort coming in, this sounds more political than anything. To be honest, I'm surprised it's okay to detect at that park in Tarpon Springs as well. All of the parks (state, local and federal) are prohibited here. Unfortunately, a few "Bad detectorist" ruin it for everybody by leaving holes everywhere and not removing trash. So disrespectful and totally unnecessary. Great video! Always a pleasure! Blessings!
No, it's part of a UN Agenda. They slowly plan to regulate out of existence hunting, fishing, and rock hounding as well. You will eventually live in a prison city and eat the bugs!
Always seems odd to me that they prevent detectorists from digging in the beach sand. I have seen way bigger holes and messes left by beach goers. I guess it's just easier for them to blanket ban from the entire park than to say sand ok, grass not ok.
Our parks are paid for by the Taxpayers These people that stop you from a recreational hobby in parks that belong to the public should be relieved of their jobs. I think that these people should be taken into a court hearing when they dictate the rules on property that was acquired by public monies We should form a go fund program to do so Our rights are being trampled by self served dictators!
So they'll let the developers totally tear up the place and destroy it forever, but we can't dig up lost change and bottle caps. Totally makes sense! 😆
And thats the reason why folks I have permission to be where ever I'm at .. Usually City property, and I keep a copy of the "Ok to metal detect" with me at all times in a Red File Folder located on the dash board of my Crown Vic...... But I agree with She Detector as you have to keep up with said permissions as things change... Bryan, Vero Beach
I wonder where the burial ground is located. I doubt it would be along the shoreline. I can't see any harm in digging a few inches into the sand on the shoreline. That sand is probably being churned up anyway when the tide rolls in.
Nice hunt sorry you lost a spot I finally got out after 2 years had back surgery and now fighting a lung disease so I can only go a half hour at a time but found my best find every a 1775 Spanish 8 reales
my state prohibits detecting in state parks to preserve relics. each county has its own rules, same with cities and towns. detecting cuts is a good strategy, especially if heavier objects like rocks and shells are there.
Even in parks here in Florida the park ranger have no clue about detecting ,they call you off the park,if they want you detecting ing in parks they need to put up signs,I don't understand these uneducted rangers,I don't understand??what do we to do??
I know what you mean. I went home to Google the new laws for 2024 but couldn't find anything. I've also been back to the park to see if they put up the signs saying no metal detecting, but nothing was up. I'm hoping the ranger didn't give me false info. 😐
Did the park ranger give you a law citation for no being allowed to detect? I have heard of rangers in other places saying something similar but according to the actual law metal detecting is still allowed.
There are some Indian land and possible burial grounds near Montgomery Alabama. Some detectorists were hunting outside the area that they thought may have been tribal land. One detector stumbled upon a nice bracelet. As they went to get the bracelet up, it was attached to an arm. I am sure no one wants to disturb a burial ground. Glad there are many places to find those valuable beer tops etc. Glad the ranger was nice (I suspect she was based on your telling of the story). You did right, sometimes things are just not worth the argument that you eventually lose anyways
More like the Governor overrules detectorist, DeSantis passed several laws targeting MD'ing to preserve his cronies treasure hunting schemes. And the state is so afraid someone is going to find something valuable and the state won't get it's cut.
Well I could understand on land detecting maybe but in the water come on the waves and storms do more rearranging of the sand than a million detectorists on the beach and in the sand could ever do. Seems ridiculous to me. O well plenty of other places.
Its sad you can't detect there but let's keep in mind that the Ranger didn't make the rule. A lot of parks in my area are the same unfortunately. We get permission during the off season to do the beaches looking for just what you said, metal etc that can affect the beach goers. The real issue is a lot of metal detectors are crappy at covering their holes etc.
Should of asked her where her jurisdiction line is for the park. Where I’m at, the ranger’s jurisdiction ends at the waterline so I can’t detect the beach but I can detect in the water. I anchor my boat and jump in the water and detect and there’s nothing the ranger can do except watch. Just FYI where I’m at.
You would be lost without your bottle caps and pull tabs. You would have nuffin to dig. Get permission at some old houses or move state. I hope you never find a rusty detonator . Your hammer blow could put a surprised look on your dial.
Oh yes! Very important indeed. I've gone back to this park to see if they have installed the no metal detecting signs, like the ranger said they were doing, and nothing is up yet. 😕 I'm hoping I wasn't bamboozled by the ranger for some reason.
Ok , so l am thinking of starting a go fund me for a metal detecting trip to the moon , thinking 🤔 we need about 100 billion, do it through nasa , what do you think, we could pick as many people as would fit in spacecraft by raffle of those who donate,
Hum, you could have a very valid point. 🤔 I've gone back to this park to see if they put up the signs saying no metal detecting, like the ranger said they were doing, and there's nothing up. I'm hoping she wasn't giving me false information. 😕
@@SheDetector In my Democrat run 💩hole of a city, the ordinance against detecting is "Because I said so." They can't cite any law or ordinance so I just keep going about my business along with other detectorists. We're hoping to strike "gold" with a harassment lawsuit...lol
@lizard944 Did you miss the part that it obviously doesn't matter what they build LATER? Does NOT change the fact that you CANT treasure hunt in any State or County park...
We (most detectorist) take all of the garbage we find, it’s cleaning the place for everyone! Thanks for all you do for our hobby!
Wow...She Detector! Seems like years since we see you. Welcome back you were missed

Thank you for your service, I always knew there was something special about you. Thanks for supporting the upcoming fundraiser.
We need to start pushing some legislation stop the harassment of metal detectorists, seeing this more and more. These people pay taxes as well.
Thank you for telling me this! I live right by the park and metal detected it all the time... good to know!
Love that smile don't take any shit go wild fence jumping is fun dig the rangers lawn up lol .😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤.

That very first target was a crusty old gold pirate tooth!!😂😂😂😂😂
An M&M mini's container would be a good sharp stuff container. It would only take up as much space as a pinpointer.
awe, well at least you got a few attempts at that park,
No small shovels just bull dozers.
You can't metal detect there but they can put some massive resort up,they won't be worried about a indian burial ground then.
Wow, I just went there today. Found some pennies, a small silver ring, and a bunch of iron. I use the same detector as you for the water. I didn't know that about anclote. I'll have to educate myself. Hope to see you out there some time.
It happens, turned out to be a pretty good day.
Thank you for the information. We just started looking for smaller areas to hunt. We'll cross this place off.
Well sorry that happened!!!!! Folks don't realize just how much trash we pull out of the environment. I do really well at baseball or soccer practice fields!!! Love your channel!!!!
well interesting hunt for sure. when its that windy i just go home lol. enjoy your videos good luck on the charity hunt. thanks for posting Larry

Indian Burials were in the water?

Once while metal detecting on the beach I found a gold ring. It was on a woman’s finger.
Looked like fun thanks for sharing!!!!

Good luck hon I wish I was there with you with my mental detector. It looks like fun . I hope you find a Diamond Ring.good Luck🍀🌹🍻👏👍from Louis 🙏☮️✝️😎
But kids can dig in the sand and build sand castles
That sucks! I got kicked out of Oleta River state park while in the water. I was there for only 15 minutes before they told me to pack it up and go
those park rangers can pick a trouble maker miles off. LOL
There must be signs posted. !! Also once in the water you are officially not in the park. This RANGER will be hunting the area himself I’ll bet.
You guys should check out..the treasure dog of maine..he gets some insane stuff off colonial beaches
So they'll let the developers totally tear up the place and destroy it forever, but we can't dig up lost change and bottle caps. Totally makes sense! 😆

Indian land didn’t stop the beach from being used and commercialized, did it?
Force the ranger to show you the laws. Keep on detecting.

Lucky! Minus nine celcius here today.

Welcome Back to My screen, She Detector.
🎵Breakin’ the law! Breakin’ the law!🎵

That's a bummer for something like that to happen the park ranger must not want you to find his change he dropped
She nice..
Sounds similar to Aquachigger's coverage of the burial ground issue.
There are some Indian land and possible burial grounds near Montgomery Alabama. Some detectorists were hunting outside the area that they thought may have been tribal land. I still prefer my sea hunter mk2 in the water with the small coil for salt water hunting. Especially in deeper water.
Happy San Valentín 🌹
My take: Big corporate money overrules detectorists rights and Native American graves in that city
More like the Governor overrules detectorist, DeSantis passed several laws targeting MD'ing to preserve his cronies treasure hunting schemes. And the state is so afraid someone is going to find something valuable and the state won't get it's cut.

I guess they don't like to have fun no harm in metal detecting 😊
huh, i thought florida DNR was pretty chill. sorry that happened to you :(
Love the vids and dont get discouraged
Learn something every day I didn’t know they buried Indians in the water and on the beach I thought it was only pirates sheet!!!!
most states you cant detect on state property.
Can you tell again what machine you’re using ?
So let me get this straight.. you can’t metal detect but they are going to dig all over the place to make a resort.

Not one coin ? No jewelry . Just garbage . Well I hope you’re luck gets better in the next hurt .
If you had enough money to grease the right palms like the people building the resort they would let you dig up the whole beach what a joke!!
No metal detecting in the park but they can build a resort on the property wow some great politicians right there.
Should of asked her where her jurisdiction line is for the park. Where I’m at, the ranger’s jurisdiction ends at the waterline so I can’t detect the beach but I can detect in the water. Nice legs by the way let’s see the whole package😊
Still enjoying your Freedom America?
So,kids aren't allowed to dig in the sand and make castles either
Know the rules before you detect.

Thats the case with just about all State and County Parks...
