- This video will guide your through the different video options on both the Samsung NX1 and Samsung NX500, such as frame rate options, audio controls, auto focus controls, and video quality options.
UPDATE
The current firmware for the Samsung NX500 is 1.10 and includes the following updates:
Still Photo Enhancements:
Improvements to the overall Auto Focus:
Enhanced AF performance in low light condition
Enhanced AF performance in backlit and spot light
Enhanced AF performance in the corners when utilizing 16-50mm PZ lens
Enhanced Face Detection AF performance
Enhanced AF performance in movie mode
Added “Zone AF” mode
Increased the size of AF to 5 steps in AF “Area Size”
Increased the Face Detection Area of the sensor
Includes 4 most popular Pro Suggest presets (Cinematic, Memories, Gorgeous night, & High Speed)
Added “Selfie as Flipped” mode
The image is flipped to capture as in the preview.
Improved “Selfie” AF function in Timer mode
Continuous AF is default in “Selfie Timer."
Simplified EXIF data preview
Video Recording Enhancements:
Added "Pro" mode in movie quality and increased the bit rates for movie size and quality (up to 70Mbps)
Movie Recording Time changed to 25 minutes at FHD 60P/50P
Larger sensor read out data size with improved FHD quality up to 60P
Remains in Stand By mode after recording
"1280x720 (120P)" setting in the Movie Size Menu for easy access
Sound recording is available
Capture individual 4K frame forward & backward with precision
Embedded EXIF data in jpeg
Added NEW MF Responsiveness mode
Capable of setting to Low, Medium, High focus angle in manual focus mode

The current firmware for the Samsung NX1 is 1.32 and includes the following updates:

1.Fixed the problem that is Movie STBY mode turning off automatically, after 1080 60p/30p
and Slow Movie(x0.5, x0.25) setting
2. Fixed Left, Right images are recording on each other's side in 3D video recording with 3D Lens

1. Improved "Color Temperature" of White Balance.
2. Fixed UHD Movie recording bugs
- Zoom lens + Tele condition -broken right side
- Zoom lens + Tele + EVF condition - Image broken when you enable MF Focus Peaking

- Intermittently broken of some part of movie
4. Keep the Focus mode under below condition
- Movie Standby mode - Start recording - change the Focus Mode - Stop recording

16. JPEG, RAW (JPEG only), and Video transfer via WiFi Actual RAW file does not transfer via WiFi. It only transfers JPEG file with Picture Wizard setting embedded to smartphone.

- Full control of NX1 through USB
- SRS and SDK will be available to download on 1st week of June 2015

Hi, thanks for your helping video! :) But I have another question for you: Is there any way to hide all on screen displays such as battery level, brightness sensor or running time of the current video? I would like to use the NX500 as a streaming cam with the Elgato Cam Link and I want to record with OBS Studio. So far I have not found a setting option to turn these displays off. So these would always be seen in the stream, which doesn't look good. I would be very happy to hear from you! :)
How do I upload my videos to my computer for editing??

H.265 is not good for me.
+John Hoy Hello John. Samsung includes our Movie Converter application with Samsung i-Launcher. There are also several other applications available online to transcode your h.265 files. Several manufacturers have also mentioned that they will be supporting h.265 natively, in the future. If you have any other questions, feel free to send us a message! Thanks!
If I record with my nx500 the video is filmed in h.265 and i cant edit it or view it on my computer does someone know hoe to change this or why this happens???
BenHeringhaus alot of editing program don't support h.265. The best thing to do is to use a converter and convert it to a format that you would like to work with. The format is great as far as compression goes but compatibility is the main issue.
Do you now were I can downlaod such a converter?
BenHeringhaus Samsung provides a converter on the disk. I have heard that wondershare converter is a really nice one to have. Just do a quick search online for best converters and I'm sure the links to obtain them will show up.
this is already outdated the nx500 had a firmware upade

Samsung nx-500 crop 4 k video is very bad idea. I have stop recording and move back to get right angel. Nobody in the world design camera like that. Is very stupid idea.Pleased notes to Sangjun Yu and Hyunsik Yu.

Thank you Xavier Lopez DE Ariana Candiani. I have this camera for 3 weeks and can't figure it out. Pictures or videos. I'm a cellphone and disposable camera kind of girl. This is all foreign language to me and had me thinking I didn't get a good camera and should have gotten a Canon rebel because I find those tutorials easy.
