I want to thank you for being there for me this last year….I listened to your old floss tubes every night during my recovery of my knee replacement. It went very well in fact I was walking without a walker after about 10 days, but because I wasn’t doing a lot during the day I didn’t sleep well…so every night I watched one of your floss tubes. Carol, you are definitely a blessing to me and I am sure all of your other subscribers feel the same. I enjoyed seeing your projects and finishes along with your pieced quilt top minis, they are all so beautiful. I am so glad that you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. My Christmas was a sad one due to my mom passing away on Christmas Eve. My father died in 1979 at the young age of 53 so my mom was without him for a lot of years. I was always her go to person for anything she needed, and we also spent many hours stitching together until in her later years she could no longer see to do anything. I am finding that I miss her so much since we spent so much time together. But knowing that she loved and knew Jesus and was looking forward to seeing him is such a comfort to me. I currently live on our family farm in the country but I plan to move into her house in the little town only six miles from where I live now. Lots of changes coming but it will be a reason for me to go through my excess “things” and eliminate things I no longer need or want. It will be a busy time but that will be good I think. Anyway, I have gone on for way too long, but I just felt the need to share. I pray many blessings to you and your family for 2024 and I look forward to more of your videos filled with beautiful stitching and quilting. Hugs to you……………………
Hello Pam, I was very touched by your comment and so sorry for your losing your mom . I lost my mother many years ago when I was 11 and often wonder what our relationship would have been like. I’m glad to hear you are moving to town, but please go slowly on other major decisions. Please take care of yourself and don’t question how you feel from day to day: you’ve suffered a great loss. May you find some comfort in your stitching and this wonderful community.
