So much fun seeing all these beautiful stitches. Hopefully we xan stitch to at least 90s. We are frozen in Missouri...sniw, wind, ice and subzero temperatures.. aren't you happy to miss this! Retirement means you do not gave to slide to work! I am staying inside and stitching!
No I don’t miss the driving and sliding or the subzero. But we get a little cold too. It’s supposed to hit freezing tonight which is very cold for Florida!!
❤ true words Brenda. I have stitched from childhood and love how relaxing it is. I watched my Mum fight her Altzhiemers to carry on stitching , when her mind could not understand stitching ...she knitted her last few years. She never understood who we were sometimes but her hands knew how to knit. Keep stitching ladies ... ❤
Ok, I’m having the hardest time with UA-cam. They took away my ability to comment the way I use to and I’m not getting my notifications on my tablet. So accidentally I found this way I think. Carol , love your work and thankyou for sharing all the beautiful pieces you are working on. I think I told you before that my dad would say “I like talking to a good listener and listening to a good talker.” He’d talk to himself. I’m married to a man that doesn’t talk much and my youngest daughter says she does talk much either. One day one of them asked me if I talk if no one is home to hear me. I stopped and thought a second and then said of course I do! After all I believe what my dad always said. Now I catch myself doing it all time. Maybe they should talk more! Well my husband as youngest daughter is married and off with her family! Look forward to each of your flosstubes. You are an inspiration.
Never worry about talking to yourself…My Daddy always says, “you can talk to yourself, and you can even answer yourself. Just don’t say, what?”😊 As always, beautiful work
Ann G. turned out fabulous! Loved your parade. You look like you have about an acre of stitching to do! My goodness you showed some huge samplers! You are a brave woman!
You can never have enough projects going at one time. 😂 variety is the spice of life. Beautiful finishes and wips. You are pretty far along on the ones you want to finish this year. Uffindell sister samplers is on my list to start, also. I don't own any other HATS patterns, and don't plan to buy any, so it will be fun to stitch them. Should I go wild and do both at the same time? Lordy! I look forward to your next update. I hope both you and hubby are well or getting well. So much crud going around this Winter. ❤❤
I appreciate your WIP parades because you note the time begun so it's clear how long a piece takes to completion. Of course different stitchers work at different rates but still it's a nice guide in general. I like how you divide up your weekly stitching time. I'm going to copy your Saturday Smalls; I have so many cute little pieces begging to get done but I always push them aside in pursuit of whatever large project I'm on. I may also copy your His Eye Is On the Sparrow Sunday; I have that chart so I'll kit it up. Thanks for your commentary on using a journal. I recently bought a cheap hardcover ($10 at Walgreens!) with 240 pages and now I have an idea how to get it started.
I loved your WIP parade. I am pretty much a monogamous stitcher. Maybe 2 at the most. I also stitch in hand. I have tried hoops and Q snaps, and I find them too bulky. Congrats to your granddaughter. I hope Mr. Saltbox feels better.
Great WIP parade Carol! You have some great choices! We are in the frigid temps here with over 2 ft. Of snow. I can’t wait to get to AZ for a few weeks. Love watching you as I do miss you. Take care of yourself and stitch away! I have been stitching quite a bit due to weather! Yay as that’s a good thing about bad roads! 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks my friend!!! I’m sure Arizona will feel like summer compared to Iowa! I hope you and Tanya have a sweet time stitching and just being together!!! Stay safe! Miss you too!!!❤️
Hi Carol! Love your finishes - someday I am going to stitch Ann Grimshaw! Keep on stitching and you will get them all done eventually! Happy stitching til next time! 😁🪡🧵🪡✂️✂️✂️💕💕💕
Such a treat to see you! 😊 I so enjoy your channel 🎶🐦🍃🪻💜 and really look forward to your new episodes. Congratulations on your finishes! Be healthy. Blessings ✨️
It is always fun to see your WIP parade, and your finishes are so gorgeous!! I have been really sick with RSV so I hope that the two of you do not get it. It is really nasty, especially if you get the wheezing, so scary. Thanks for sharing all of your beautiful projects. Happy stitching and blessings to you both.
Love all your charts you are currently working on but Ann Sandles spoke to me for some reason. Had to pause and order it. I seem to be on a Brenda Gervais path in the past few months so can’t hurt to add another. I like that a lot of her called for threads seem to follow a lot of charts. Happy Stitching and continuing good health to you and Mr Saltbox, hope he feels better. 🙏🪡🧵🥰⛄️
I love seeing all of your WIPs! Thanks for sharing. It’s so funny the way we all approach things so differently, too. I could never stitch a border, especially one that is basically just a wonky line, before stitching anything else. I’m definitely a “border as I go” stitcher.
I agree with you 100%. I do the border first. And I count several times for this. It's a whole lot easier when you add the insides of the design. I enjoyed today's visit. Thanks for sharing your lovely work.
I enjoyed your WIP parade. I am not a sampler stitcher, but I think they are beautiful. You may already know this, but Reecie has a new flosstube. I remember that she was someone you enjoyed watching. It is Flosstube # 12. I hope your husband feels better soon. Take care and happy stitching!!!
Another inspiring video. Congratulations to your granddaughter and her dance company. I hope that tickle in your throat goes away and that Mr. Saltbox feels better soon. Have a wonderful day!
Re-watching today while ironing and cutting for the #tinyninepatchchallenge , I love your videos and all your stitching. You inspire me so much! I bought Gathering the Greens after the first time I watched this and I still want to get Ann Grimshaw and Jane Atkins. My husband always asks what Mr Saltbox is up too when he hears your voice. 💖
I am such a fan of all their quilts but my favorites are Happy Go Lucky, Chelsea’s “Dazzling” made in Simply Delightful and the Coastal Summer Medallion Quilt. I could go one. I really appreciate Sherri’s Block of the Month. Thank you for all you and Fat Quarter Shop do for the quilting community!
So excited to see your Ann Grimshaw finish. Truly stunning. I have the pattern I just haven’t started yet. After looking at the hand-drawn squares, I set it aside. Ha ha. Loved the entire parade you shared. Thank you.
Oh man was I happy to see this Flosstube pop up!! 🎉🎉 so many things to say 🤦♀️ first of all Ann Grimshaw… I never get tired of seeing her she’s so stunning. You can show her every time if you want. I would . And speaking of pretty holy buckets is your Jane Atkinson stunning!! That border … oh my gosh!! And by the way Did you see that Reecie posted a new Flosstube? That was fun! Tell Professor Saltbox two things: the parade music was just the best touch 😂 AND this one was actually not quite long enough!!! Hee hee. So long for now from the frozen tundra aka Iowa 🥶🥶🥶🥶💙
I was SO happy to see your video on que today! I've been stitching on His Eye Is On The Sparrow for ages. I am a monogamous, s-l-o-w stitcher. I love seeing your WIPS and progress. ❤
Beautiful Parade!!! Loved every minute! I think the Needle & Flax linen that has some greet to it is Alcott which I like very much! I hope Mr. Saltbox feels better soon and that you do not catch it!!!😷
Your Ann Grimshaw is stunning! I’ll never be tired of hearing about it or looking at it. I have this pattern on my wish list at 124stitch. Need to take the plunge!
I love a Parade!! What a beautiful finish of Ann Grimshaw...hope to purchase my silk & get it started before the end of January. Your last video inspired me to pull out my kitted "Gathering of the Greens" I started it on New Year's Day and finished it this week. I love that chart but all those berries in the border were a true test of my patience!! I saw so many in your WIP parade that I want to stitch, you are the best enabler and I love spending time with you!!! I hope Professor Saltbox is feeling better. He does a wonderful job as your Editor & Publisher. See you next time! xoxoxo
Aww thanks so much. I get enabled by so many stitchers too!! Especially if I have it kitted. I hope to get back to Gathering the Greens. Maybe Christmas in July. It was 80 degrees here yesterday so I’m ready to stitch spring.
Always love seeing what you are working on. I feel more confident about trying larger designs when I see how ambitious you are...there's hope I tell myself! XO
Happy to see your video! Prayers for Mr. Saltbox to feel better. Hoping you avoid "the bug" Carol. I also stitch in hand. It's what I enjoy. I have found that 36 count is my "sweet spot". Have thought about 40 count but I seriously don't think I would be able to see it well.
Happy New Year Carol ❤ your flosstubes always do my heart good, you need to keep going with the WIP parade until you get to Ann Rayner, I finally managed to get the chart but I’m a bit intimidated, it’s not an easy chart to read. Hope Mr Saltbox feels better soon, hats off to him for the great parade music. Xx
I love Ann too!!! She’ll be in my WIP parade part 2. And yes the chart is nearly impossible to read which is one of the reasons she is still a WIP but I definitely want to finish her sooner than later!!!
Love your WIP parade!!! I was tickled to see that you’re stitching Sweet Temper! I just love that one! I have it kitted and ready but haven’t put in a single stitch. You’ve inspired me again! Many 😊 thanks!
First, thanks for your video, and its good to see you again! I'm one of those who (feels driven?) stitches the border bones first. After everything meets up on the border, you can just relax, or carry on. 😊
LOL 🚔👮♂🎫 Fun Parade. Beautiful fabrics on all. I smile when I find a Crescent Color tag or very old DMC label in my stash. My brain doesn't like to do over one!! I'm doing a 3-day rotation, 5 days if I choose not to put it down. Feel better Mr. Saltbox, Congrats to your Granddaughter with her dance club Wins.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful finishes and amazing WIPs. I find your videos fun to watch and especially love the interactions between you and your husband😊 I couldn’t find the new flosstuber you mentioned. It sounded like Solid Stitches to me but my hearing is going 😂. Perhaps you can mention it again on your next video. TIA🙋🏽♀️Never Mind I found the transcript and Sully Stitches by Tara Sullivan. I will watch her video next. Have a blessed week.
#1 I never tire of seeing Ann Grimshaw. I hope you’ll show her again when you have her FFO’d. #2 Your stitches are beautiful. #3 What do you do if you get to that last corner and the borders don’t match? That’s where I am. I’m about ready to cry because I can’t find the problem. Newcastle Bouquet is in time out. Get well soon Professor Saltbox. Stay well Carol. Luv ya
Oh that’s always a nightmare when the border doesn’t match. Well maybe not a nightmare but at least a bad dream. I’ve frogged simple borders if I can find my mistake. If I decide to fudge, I try to fudge at a corner even if it means frogging back to the corner. It’s always easier to fudge a corner. Newcastle Bouquet is so gorgeous, I hope to stitch it someday!
Carol, wow🤩 phenomenal WIP’s never too many ….so great seeing what you finished for your January stitch just beautiful! Thank you for taking time to put this together & to Mr. Saltbox for editing, etc… so appreciated, inspiring..congrats on your granddaughter’s dancing 💃 my niece did that from that same age throughout high school so fun! hope your not getting ill and that hubby feels much better soon, take good care, looking forward to seeing your progress…hugs from MN🤗♥️
Thanks for another fabulous Flosstube.😊 Congrats to Camille and her fellow dancers. She is precious! I hope Mr. Saltbox feels better soon. A cold can really drag you down. I always crack windows in the house if anyone is sick to let out those germs. I love seeing all of your WIPS and kudos on your Anne Grimshaw finish!❤
Thank-you for sharing your Parade of beautiful framed designs. your husband is so sweet to get you coffee, love the cup. Congratulation to your granddaughter. Thank-your son in law for his service my husband was in the Navy during Vietnam. Congratulation on finishing Ann Grimshaw, I am looking forward to seeing it framed, I hope your husband starts feeling better soon. Congratulations on your finishes and progress on all your stitching. Thank-you for sharing your WIP Parade.
Hi carol, wishing you and your family a happy new year and of course wonderful to see your whip parade loves seeing all of the samplers. They’re just so beautiful happy stitching. Cheers.
Carol, I will never get tired of hearing about your Ann Grimshaw! She is just gorgeous!! ❤❤❤ And you have that many WIPS?? I thought I had a lot at 14/17... 😮 I also LOVE your Ann Uffindel! WOWZA Hugs and Love, Jennifer PS I keep editing my comments because I see even more of your gorgeous stitching to comment on! Jane Atkinson ...another major WOWZA... Gorgeous!! Sigh... thank you for showing all the loveliness!!
Congratulations on Anne’s finish - she is big bold and beautiful. Loved your parade . You have some amazing pieces !! Jane and her border is Stunning. Wishes for Mr. Saltbox feels better soon .
I would never get sick of seeing Ann Grimshaw. She's in my stash and I aspire to stitch her before too long. I always love seeing all of your stitching, Carol. You have inspired many of my more ambitious chart purchases!😂❤ As always, it was great to see you.
Ann Grimshaw and Hannah Tingey are both gorgeous!!! Elizabeth Charnelay is such a sweet sampler! It was such fun to see your WIPs. They are never boring!!! I was reminded how much I love the Mary Carr sampler by NWP. I may have to start that this year! I hope Mr. Saltbox feels better soon and I really hope you are not catching anything. Thanks as always, Carol and happy stitching!
As always, beautiful work and such an inspiration! Even more so since stitching samplers were (and still are) my passion. I came back to this in 2023 (after stopping in 1999). Have started with smalls and will eventually work my way back up. I discovered Sully Stitches a few days ago…she is also great!
So happy to see your video when I went to Flosstube this morning. What an awesome WIP parade…..beautiful pieces! I love seeing your work; thank you for sharing. Also, Mr. Saltbox, hope you are feeling better soon, and thank you for preparing these great videos!🤗
Who doesn’t love a Carol Saltbox parade 🥰🥳. May you & Mr Saltbox have a happy, healthy & blessed 2024! ♥️
Thank you so much!
You have no idea how I look forward to your videos and words of wisdom! Thank u so much for your time and inspiration!! 🧵🧵🧵🪡🪡🪡
Hello Carol…I never tire of seeing your gorgeous projects. I always feel like I’m visiting a friend when I watch. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! You’re very sweet!
FYI Tudor Silk is equivalent to Soie Surfine, which is the finer version of 100/3. Absolutely love your videos! ❤
So much fun seeing all these beautiful stitches. Hopefully we xan stitch to at least 90s.

Love that! Too funny!!! I have been known to tell myself “ told you so”. Haha
Ann G. turned out fabulous! Loved your parade. You look like you have about an acre of stitching to do! My goodness you showed some huge samplers! You are a brave woman!
Thank you so much! Brave or crazy??? Lol

What a FABULOUS parade!!! My favorite kind of parade is a WIP parade & yours is one of the best!!!
Thank you!
I love seeing your treasures!! Your two finishes are absolutely beautiful!! Look forward to seeing your progress!! Happy stitching!❤
Thank you so much!
I loved your WIP parade. I am pretty much a monogamous stitcher. Maybe 2 at the most. I also stitch in hand. I have tried hoops and Q snaps, and I find them too bulky. Congrats to your granddaughter. I hope Mr. Saltbox feels better.

Thank you so much for the video. You are inspiring ..

Omg I love a parade. Huge applause on you finishes. Just fabulous pieces.
Thank you so much!
Loved your flosstube, as always! I like how you keep it real and your humor!
Oh thank you!
You definitely need to have Mr. Saltbox frame Anne Grisham! I hope he's on the mend soon.
Your WIP parades are always amazing, Carol. Absolutely love all of your pieces.
Thank you so much!
Hi Carol! Love your finishes - someday I am going to stitch Ann Grimshaw! Keep on stitching and you will get them all done eventually! Happy stitching til next time! 😁🪡🧵🪡✂️✂️✂️💕💕💕
Thank you! You too my friend!!! I’m stitching Dwelling place by TK and of course you stitched the model. So beautiful!!!
Such a treat to see you! 😊 I so enjoy your channel 🎶🐦🍃🪻💜 and really look forward to your new episodes. Congratulations on your finishes! Be healthy. Blessings ✨️
Thanks so much!!!❤️
So many beautiful stitches. And many times, the border is very complex and kind of daunting, kudos for tackling that right at the beginning!
Thank you so much!
I love seeing and hearing about all your projects. It snowed most of the morning. I enjoyed hanging out with you while I got some stitching done.
Thank you! Stay warm and cozy!!
Enjoyed the parade! Get better soon Mr Saltbox!! It was -9 in northern NH last night. Expecting colder tonite. Stay warm and safe 😊
Thanks, you too!
We are both well now. He was done and out for a bit but no RSV. Hope you are on the mend!!!
Never tire of seeing all your WIPS and finishes. So inspiring. Beautiful.
Oh, my.....such lovely 🌹 things! 🤩
Love all your charts you are currently working on but Ann Sandles spoke to me for some reason. Had to pause and order it. I seem to be on a Brenda Gervais path in the past few months so can’t hurt to add another. I like that a lot of her called for threads seem to follow a lot of charts. Thanks for the inspiration, Carol - as always! May your needle through 2024. Cheers!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for another inspirational video! I always look forward to them. Stay safe and well and happy stitching!
Thank you!

5:08 I loved what your husband did with pic in pic.
What a techie guy!! My techieness is turning on my new phone and I fault at that at times.
Oh my gosh your whip parade is beautiful. Love seeing them all. Hope you and hubby feel better!
Thank you so much!
I agree with you 100%. I do the border first. And I count several times for this. It's a whole lot easier when you add the insides of the design. I enjoyed today's visit. Thanks for sharing your lovely work.

Thank you so much!
Love seeing all your projects! All beautiful. Congrats on being mentioned in the newest addition of “Just Cross Stitch” magazine.
Thank you so much! I was contacted by Just Cross Stitch last month and I was shocked!!! Who knew my crazy rambling would end up in a magazine???
Re-watching today while ironing and cutting for the #tinyninepatchchallenge , I love your videos and all your stitching. You inspire me so much! I was SO happy to see your video on que today! I've been stitching on His Eye Is On The Sparrow for ages. I am a monogamous, s-l-o-w stitcher. I love seeing your WIPS and progress. ❤
Thanks so much!!! I’ll be starting Consider the Lillies when I finish Eye on the Sparrow.
Thanks for the new video! You and Professor Saltbox make me laugh every week. 😊 Also, get better soon Professor!

Beautiful projects. Love your ann grimshaw finish. Feel better mr. Saltbox
Thank you!
I love your videos. You and your husband are a cute couple.
Your Ann Grimshaw is stunning! I’ll never be tired of hearing about it or looking at it. I have this pattern on my wish list at 124stitch. Need to take the plunge!
Thank you!!
You have such beautiful projects! I always enjoy watching. Take care, stay warm, and I look forward to your next video!
Thank you so much!
Aww thanks so much. I get enabled by so many stitchers too!! Especially if I have it kitted. I hope to get back to Gathering the Greens. Maybe Christmas in July. It was 80 degrees here yesterday so I’m ready to stitch spring.
Wow, I thought we were in the middle of a heat wave at 50 degrees, but I hear Snow is making a comeback this week! Happy stitching !
Always love seeing what you are working on. I feel more confident about trying larger designs when I see how ambitious you are...there's hope I tell myself! XO
You can do it! Just one stitch at a time!!
Anne Grimshaw is beautiful!!
What a great collection of WIPS.
We have about 10" of snow here in WI, & below zero temps for a week now.
Marilyn
I love your work, I enjoy your videos and you and your husband are delightful!
Thank you so much!
Oh thank you so much!! Yes he’s much better and I only got a very mild version so all is well!!
I always love seeing anything you’re willing to share! Your projects are amazing!
Thank you so much!
Fun to see your WIPs this time - you have some beauties in there! - Sheri
Thanks so much Sherri!!!
First, thanks for your video, and its good to see you again! I'm one of those who (feels driven?) stitches the border bones first. After everything meets up on the border, you can just relax, or carry on. 😊
I totally agree! Thanks for watching!
Wow, this is my first Saltbox Stitcher floss tube - what amazing work xx
Thank you so much!!! And also thanks for watching for the first time!!❤️
All kinds of beautiful Carol- can't wait to see your progress! I was watching you and stitching on my own Mary Carr.
Oh thank you! Of course when I watched it back I realized I said Mary Clark instead of Mary Carr. Sorry about that!!!
I'm working my way across the *$%& grass and the quirky animals!@@saltboxstitcher
Carol, you do such beautiful work. I would love to just be. Able to stitch with you and learn your process. Beautiful work and I love your floss tube.
Thank you so much!
Love seeing all your stitching.
LOL 🚔👮♂🎫 Fun Parade. Beautiful fabrics on all. I smile when I find a Crescent Color tag or very old DMC label in my stash. My brain doesn't like to do over one!! Amazing Carol! Happy new year to you both 🎉 love from a bitterly cold Wales x
Thanks for a great video. I have at least one of your WIP’s in my WIP pile as well. Need to get it back out. Thanks for the inspiration!
Congratulations to you for being in just cross stitch magazine. I think it is great
Thank you so much!

I would never get sick of seeing Ann Grimshaw. She's in my stash and I aspire to stitch her before too long. I always love seeing all of your stitching, Carol. You have inspired many of my more ambitious chart purchases!😂❤ As always, it was great to see you.
Wonderful! Thanks so much!!
Thanks so much!!!!I love Mary Carr too even though I called her Mary Clark. lol
Thanks for wonderful stitching parade
Have a great week
Thank you! You too!
I don't think you're rude to hubs! Lots of inspiration again. I am really loving the Scarlet Letter pieces and tempted to add Elizabeth Cheatham..
Thanks my friend!!! I’m loving Elizabeth and am tempted to just keep working on her till she’s done!!
As always, beautiful work and such an inspiration! Even more so since stitching samplers were (and still are) my passion. I came back to this in 2023 (after stopping in 1999). Have started with smalls and will eventually work my way back up. I discovered Sully Stitches a few days ago…she is also great!
Fab video as always 😊
Lots have been added to the shopping cart !
Thanks so much! 😊
