Absolutely love your little sweet tree and the touching story about the lady who lost her son. I too love winter and being able to enjoy a quieter time. Love your videos and everything you share with us.
I just discovered your channel and really enjoyed it. I immediately went to your store and everything is sold out. I was disappointed but will check back regularly. I would like to receive your newsletter in whatever format that will be. Thanks for all you do! Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
A wonderful, cozy, heartfelt video my friend! That feather tree is just fabulous. I'm dreaming of my own sewing tree now and will be borrowing some of your lovely ideas. I'm still working on my doll quilt... going very slowly but enjoying every stitch. Thank you for sharing your expertise and for taking the time to research every aspect of the projects you share. I'm really looking forward to seeing you in January at Sampler Symposium and will of course enjoy all of the announcements you have in 2024! Very exciting to see your artistic growth!! Susan!!!!! It's always a joy to spend time with you (stitching on a Christmas gift for a family member as I listen!) but this was just fabulous. I loved seeing your projects, and especially hearing your take on Elizabeth Hall but THAT TREE BE STILL MY HEART!!!!! The thimble bells! The mercury glass strings! Gloriousness all over the place, and so fabulously and uniquely you. Only you could have made this, and it is a masterpiece. Don't put it away - leave it out all year! Merry Christmas, my friend!
Hi Katie , thank you so much for your lovely comment and your enthusiasm warms my heart! The tree is definitely sparkly and so fun. I am enjoying every minute of it right now, and I’m afraid by June I might be sick of it! The thought of dismantling it just Makes me feel kind of sick so I think it’s going to stay in its current state for quite some time. I am fascinated by Elizabeth Hall and her family’s work. I find it so interesting to see what people keep and pass on to future generations. I’m so glad you’re getting lots of stitching done !!!! Have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 Wishing you lots of blessings in 2024!!!!!
Merry Christmas Susan to you and yours ❤️. The quilt, what a beautiful work of love. That tree….Oh my goodness, I absolutely love every single thing about it!! I sew look forward to 2024 and all the wonderful things and knowledge you bring to us! Thank you & God Bless, Donna in GA

I watched this last week on my phone but wanted to hop onto my laptop to leave a comment. Your joy and enthusiasm just shines through. I'm amazed at all your creativity and ideas and am excited for the coming year. Loved your tree and was wondering where you found those adorable little bells; I didn't realize at first they were thimbles. Happy New Year and looking forward to meeting you in person.
Hi Roberta , thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It means so much, and I love hearing from you! I actually made the thimble decorations out of factory worker thimbles that already had a hole in the top. I am not a jeweler, and it was challenging, but I love how they turned out. I hope 2024 brings many blessings to you and your family. Perhaps our paths will cross.
Oh, Susan! You have outdone yourself with this episode! That quilt and that tree are absolutely stunning! Mary 1840 was my very first quilt, and I can’t begin to thank you for this invaluable experience. I simply couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. I’m thrilled beyond measure to know that you have more surprises in store for 2024, and I can’t wait to hear about them! In the meantime, I wish you a happy and beautiful holiday season. 🎄🥂
Your Christmas tree is stunning!!! Such a beautiful bird quilt! I look forward to seeing what you have in store for 2024 and what you will carry in your shop! I have been just an observer of your doll quilt project. I am finishing up my fourth quilt ever so I appreciated seeing the various binding techniques that you demonstrated. I just purchased the angel that Country Sampler shows in their newsletter clutching seasonal samplers so I think I need to make some small seasonal quilts! Not sure if I will use my machine or try hand sewing them. I appreciate everything you take the time to present. Merry Christmas! Barbara
Thank you for joining me on the journey, and I know you will be inspired to create so many beautiful things for your home now that you have some of the tools needed!
Your videos are always so interesting. I absolutely love that feather tree! You must not take it apart! Add a heart at Valentines, a bunny in the spring, etc., it is just stunning! Love your quilt too!
Merry Christmas, Susan. Thank you for sharing the stitching you are working on, lovely. The quilt you completed is amazing. Question, did it call for the white fabric as a background? Or was it your choice? Such a treasure of work. I do enjoy my hand piecing and hoping to finish a small "humming bird" small quilt. Hope you have a very blessed Christmas.❤
Merry Christmas to you as well! Thank you so much for joining me today and watching. I would love to see the hummingbird quilt you are working on. The original Quilt, that I was reinterpreting was stitched on a light muslin fabric. I chose a Kona cotton, called antique white. It has a slight tan coloration to it. I am anxious to try another quilt, using a light background, and lots of red appliqué! Here’s to a new year full of Stitching ❤️❤️
@@susanstandleystitchintime Susan it is an amazing quilt. Need to get back and finish up my EPP Flower Garden quilt because I am itching to start an applique quilt! Will snap a picture of my hand piecing...
Almost all my wips are big. I think it is because I only started cross stitching in 2020. The bigger the better. I’m also 70 and have way too many nick nacks so I don’t do many smalls.
