I cook mine with a slight twist no lemon grass & lemon lime instead I use pineapple tidbits and all the rest of the ingredients you are using. I cook them by simmering chix & pork, ground black pepper, chopped garlic, onion, bay leaf, vinegar and soy sauce. When the meat is almost tender I add a small pouch of pineapple tidbits, boiled chix eggs peeled and dash of MSG for flavoring; I don't use chix cube as it is quite salty. The taste is also outstanding. I use a perfect brand of vinegar consistently for my cooking it never fails me. Next time, I will try your recipe; tnx for sharing.

Kahit anong version ng adobo talagang it taste good at gusto ng mga tsikiting but the most adobo my son and daughter lalo na ng mga apokids ko ay yung palalambutin muna sa maraming bawang, suka toyo at paminta then if malambot na yung chicken or pork hanguin yung sabaw para ma fried lahat pati na rin ang bawang tapos kung fried na at mabango na ang bawang ibuhos ang sabaw at saka haluin pati yung mga nanikit sa kawali pag sumama sa laman ng adobo ay ang sarap kaya nauubos ng mga anakis at apokis ang sabaw kesa sa laman

I cook adobo in many different ways. Minsan ihulog ko lahat yung protein para pakuluan sa marinade. Then pag medyo luto na, tinatanggal ko yung liquid para iprito bahagya ang protein. Nagiging crusty sya then deeper yung color saka ko ibabalik yung liquid. At siyempre hindi rin nawawala sa kahit anong lutuin ko ang knorr cubes. Kumpleto ako rito: may pork, may chicken, may beef, at may shrimp cubes!
Masarap din kung may pineapple tidbits. And instead of soda, pwede ring pineaaple juice. Whatever way, tiyak masarap at paborito nating lahat ang… ADOBO!!!

Cooked this for lunch at church and for my family. Couldn't find quail eggs so I used baby potatoes instead. It was an instant hit! They are requesting me to cook this again for our Christmas get together. God bless you more and thank you for sharing.

I usually adding lemon grass o 'tanglad' in my adobo cooking, this lemon lime soda is just new to me, and I'm substituting it with a Sprite softdrink..

I cooked pork adobo last night too but instead of putting quail eggs, I added some cubed potatoes and a little bit of coconut milk and 7-up.

Yummy and very interesting, my method of cooking is almost the same as yours but without lime Soda, Knorr and tanglad. I will definitely try your recipe. For food presentation, I usually garnish my adobo with fried potatoes, carrots and string beans. Patok na patok sa Party.

Looks so scrumptious 😋! It’s just too greasy for me. Too much oil. But I’ll try this recipe without chicken bouillon, I’ll remove the chicken skin and use pork tender loin instead to minimize the fat because I’m not too fond of greasy food. But I’ll follow the recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Olive oil is the best! Also less laurel leaves for me! Sprite or pineapple if no lemon lime, added with bread crumbs and brown sugar, different stokes for different folks! All the same Filipino dish !Galing Panlansang Pinoy!!
Same here. I fon't like greasy or fatty foods. I like to cook onky skinkess chicken. Tapon kahat ang bslat bg manok at sa pirk gusto ko yong malaman lang no skin fat

The tanglad and lemon lime soda is an interesting twist that I wish to try. However I suggest you try frying the chicken to a more golden color or better yet until the skin begins to turn crispy. Fry the pork as well, sear the fat. That's how I love my CPA, where the colors of the C&P are richer and there would be a more complex or varied texture to the dish.

Hello Good day! Actually I really love 😍 original adobo my old version of Original Adobo
Just Marinate all seasonings including Pork then cook it slowly I have Also Every 1Kg of Pork there is a Equivalent soysauce and vinegar to add including Onion, garlic, Black pepper there's no need to add chicken cubes and Magic Sarap only Datu Puti Soysauce and Vinegar is enough for me a bit of sprite or sugar to taste. Make it dry Adobo with his own oil no added oil. This is only a old original Adobo version. Thank you.
It’s even better to put cold water, so you can peel the shells easily. By the way this is how ilonggo’s cook adobo always with lemon grass :)
