Climbing Abandoned Roller Coaster GONE WRONG | Exploring Fantasy Island Theme Park

  • Sinematic Seth travels to the Canadian border with Exploring With Josh and friends to explore an abandoned theme park called Fantasy Island that closed in 2019. Seth also came here two years ago when it was active, and it looks eerily similar. He came across all the abandoned buildings with everything left behind - official merchandise, rides, arcade games, even food and deserts left behind. Seth explored alone for most of the day until he starts climbing the roller coaster with KC, but that's where things had gone wrong...

This was a really special explore for me. I came here when the park was open two years ago, which was fun, but it's even more fun exploring it with my friends in its abandoned state. The whole day I just felt like I was in a dream. Off camera I actually laid down in the water slide with kc, closed my eyes, and just listened to the sounds around me. It was just so peaceful. I'll never forget any moment of this day. What was your favorite part of the park?

This was a favorite place from my childhood back in the 60's, and then I took my own kids. Was hoping to take my grandkids, hopefully new ownership will do as they say. So many great memories here as a child and as an adult. My favorite thing here was what I called the crooked house. Not sure if it survived the last owner or not.

I live in Grand Island and worked at Fantasy Island for a few summers. It’s weird to see the place so abandoned. Also, the red bag you saw was Loganberry, a local favorite drink.

I was a season ticket holder through to the close (and yes i got a refund on the 2020 season). My kids loved it! It was declining and not what it use to be. Each year it got a lil worse. We even attended the Halloween horror just before they closed for good. So many memories from here. In the back there's fencing that leads to the camp grounds as well. Thank you for being respectful, so many have trashed it and with any luck new owners are hoping to bring it back. Those that have trashed it only make that dream harder.

We left 12 years ago, but came back to see my parents and took our kids to go on the same rides we went on. I really appreciate that you did this video. I can't believe being closed for such a short time the amount of vandalism and disrespect for the property. Fantasy Island is supposed to Re-Open Summer of 2022. With the amount of damage and some rides were sold I don't know how that's possible! Hey Josh✌️ Your video about Fantasy Island was awesome also!

as a local, who lives on grand island, it was bound to happen. After the park go new owners it just started to go down hill, with many of the rides having to be shut down. It's kinda creepy to see it today, its also is apparently going to be open this summer, 2022, but only the waterpark. yes its sad that it closed but it looks so cool now and many locals in the past 3-4 years have been going to Daren Lake, a theme park I believe own by six flags. But its so cool seeing people explore the place. @Seth Borden I hope you and @ExploringWithJosh can explore more abandoned and haunted places here in Buffalo & Niagara Falls

Former worker(grounds and ride op)for 3 years up until the last day here
13:04 That was a kayak rental place pay the attendant and you could go for a lap around the river
13:30 That was actually a western themed merch shop where you could buy fake pop guns.
15:37 nah it ALWAYS looked that that.
16:32 that was a game where you threw balls at cats or clowns to knock them over.
18:52 that was the 'mega disk'o' a small Zamperla disko coaster
19:47 That's one of the catered pavilions for corporate/church events and rich birthday parties/ family gathering. Yes they would cook and serve food from those buffet tables.
20:07 You're not that ride was torn down before I worked there. Why they are there I don't know.
21:40: That foot print ethier has to be the Full Tilt and/or the tilt a whirl.
24:12 It was used as a show in the '18 season (it was pure cringe and I don't think was ever popular) but otherwise it was where I'd go to hide from my manager and rest my feet abit.
29:55 The butthole graffiti made me chuckled as everyone one called that slide 'the toilet bowl'

The pizza box was from a local pizzeria, probably brought in by one of the workers or someone like you that broke in.

So cool! I’m from Canada and about 2 hours away from Niagara Falls. Hopefully it stays here for awhile so I can explore it one day once it’s safe to do so! Nice video. 💖

Hopefully it re-opens, but the more people 'explore' the park, the less and less chance it will have to reopen.

Often times, these amusement parks close because of a bad economy in the area, or too many insurance claims, or safety violations.

I love how excited you get. It's def infectious. :) Speaking of NY, have you ever explored the Adler hotel??? You should def check out some pics and stuff. It's abandoned now, but we went there for my cousin's reception (and it was creepy and seemed abandoned then!).

I think that “bag of blood” may be Logan Berry drink concentrate (A Buffalo NY tradition). Also, that was the first big boy coaster I went on as a kid; I think I was 6 or 7?!
