I don’t know if someone explained but Pão de Queijo is not made from regular wheat flour. It’s made from Polvilho that is a flour from cassava. So, Pão de Queijo is totally gluten free.

Can also be made with "tapioca sour flour" on some of the easiest recipes
In Brazil, people aren't expected to eat quickly to clear the table, so you can spend an entire afternoon at a steakhouse table eating and drinking at a slower pace. You can take your time as much as you want.
That's the whole reason of the card/plaque that says if you are accepting more, or not. So you can enjoy what you have at the moment in your plate, and talk with whoever you are with, enjoying your time

I had the privilege of trying Feijoada in São Paulo back in 2018 and I STILL think about that amazing dish-just a great meal to share with friends and family. All your food looked delicious!!
No joke, Brazilian food is the best in the world. They have different states, each one about the size of Texas, and each one with its own cuisine. And they are all amazing. Brazilians are passionate about food and the quality is generally so good! Even their snacks (called lanches) are fabulous. My favourite is Quibe. I have tried several times to make them at home in London but I'm not very good. Some places you find are called "per kilos". Feijoada has this aspect, it´s dark but the flavour is incredible. That crunchy stuff is called Pururuca and is made of fried pork meat/skin, eat pururuca as a snack. Mix everything, farofa (made from cassava), rice, vinagrete, green cabbage and fork it.
I never heard someone calling torresmo as pururuca, perhaps this is some kind of regionalism? Anyway, pururuca is the process that makes the torresmo, hence why it is called "Torresmo à pururuca".
The best feijoadas are the home made ones, but you can still find some good places. The thing you thought was chicken, it’s like a deep fried bacon. It’s crunchy and it’s delicious. And the pico de Gallo, is called vinagrete, but in São Paulo it doesn’t have salantro. The only thing I missed was the pizza. I took an American to pizza place and she loved it. São Paulo pizza is awesome and different from the American one. Loved the video! 😊

Feijoada is usually served only on wednesday and saturday on restaurants, that's why it's hard to find, it's not an everyday meal hahaha also, that crunch thing was Torresmo, it's fried pork belly. It's supposed to be super crispy to add some texture to the feijoada, but it's also eaten as an snack, with lime and beer

Friends, you have to come to Minas Gerais. Every restaurant in Minas Gerais serves "feijoada" on Friday. Here you will eat the best cheese bread, fantastic cheeses and the best dulce de leche in the country. They will get to know the traditional life of the interior of Brazil. Hug.

Although Pão de Queijo translates as Cheese Bread, it’s not actually a bread, since it’s not made of wheat flour. It’s main ingredient, apart from cheese is polvilho, which is a cassava flour.
If you guys already liked the pão de queijo from São Paulo, I can’t even imagine how you would feel about the original one, from Minas Gerais (It’s a state near SP and Rio). I think you guys would be absolutely amused by the cheese in general… We also have beautiful countryside landscape with a lot of mountains and really great food and coffee! The amount of beautiful waterfalls is also impressing.
As a Brazilian I can say the feijoada looked fine. It's a dish best eaten in a restaurant or homemade, when your order it kinds of dries up when delivered. I hope you guys enjoyed our food! Next time come to Paraná (the state with the Iguaçu Falls) we have really nice dishes here too!

Anyway thank you guys for coming and you got a new follower! Next time you have to try the northeast food! it's a spicy food if you get curious, if you like meat, the south is the right place, and if you love cheese, Minas gerais is where you should go hahaha

Well...it's beer not bear...lol
@@EduardoSaita idk maybe you wanna eat with bear 🤪
Hahahahaha...yeah...maybe..
We've heard this from a few other folks as well, good to know!
Saturdayis a "feijoada day" in Brazil. You will find a good and fresh ones...and maracuja musse is something crazy, just amazing
There is no national pattern. In different regions you have different days for Feijoada... Or even not a specific day of the week for it.
That's good to know!

Hug.
the best tour person you will ever had
Great video! I am going to Brazil tomorrow and it is exciting to see this video. I would love to go to São Paolo but time won't permit. The food looks so amazing! Sara, are you from New England? You sound like your are from Massachusetts even though you pronounce your r's. Ha ha! Enjoy the rest of you trip.
haha! I (Sara) am actually from Georgia/Tennessee! Not a northerner but that's funny you say that! I do talk really fast, so I think people often think I'm from the north. Enjoy your time in Brazil! It's a truly incredible country. :)

The hard thing that you had with the feijoada is Torresmo. But a bad one. There is a place called “Magia de Minas” in São Paulo where they serve a very good feijoada and an awesome torresmo. You have to try another one again =)

Hi! Thanks so much for watching and welcome to our channel! Brazil is one of our favorite places and we can't wait to go back next year (2025) so stay tuned for more videos from there! :)
Although Pão de Queijo translates as Cheese Bread, it’s not actually a bread, since it’s not made of wheat flour. It’s main ingredient, apart from cheese is polvilho, which is a cassava flour.
You are really kind and appreciative people. Brazil will always be glad to have you back. ❤
Thank you!
We would love to visit Minas Gerais someday!
We would love to come back someday and try it in a restaurant! We will have to add Paraná to our travel list!

Hello pretty lady how are you doing today
I'm vegan, but it just feels amazing to see foreigners (gringos for the closer ones lol) trying our food and culture!! it's just amazing, I'm glad you came over São Paulo and tried those traditional foods, but I'm sad at the same time because you could've had better food and better experiences, for example the "feijoada", it would be a greater experience to eat at a restaurant and also the "pão de queijo", the greatest one is made in Minas Gerais, another state next to São Paulo's state. Anyway thank you guys for coming and you got a new follower! Next time you have to try the northeast food! it's a spicy food if you get curious, if you like meat, the south is the right place, and if you love cheese, Minas gerais is where you should go hahaha

Greetings from Brazil. And remember that all feijoadas might look like the same but they never taste the same. That's the magic.
Brazil is a food paradise ❤
Third largest food producer in the world and second food exporter in the world behind the USA which is number one . Brazil is supposed to be in the near future the biggest of both producer and exporter.
