I don't mean this to be condescending, but you're in control of how things feel. It's like being afraid of the dark when you're a kid. Yes thats a valid feeling but you then tell yourself it's just the dark. So when you see simply a strange video because it's AI generated, you can talk to yourself and convince yourself (very easily actually), that there's nothing to be unsettled about, it's just a database sourced image. I'm basically saying you don't have to take bible seriously every thought and feeling you have. They're just first reactions and it's what a brain is for, literally to think twice.
I like how in some parts the AI seems to grasp it's suppose to be a game and others it tries to make it more realistic as if it is a movie like Harcore Harry.
@@DemonDisc Checkout V/H/S/Beyon, came out 2024. It's likehardcore Henry with fast zombies on multiplayer co-op mode, ( the first 20 minutes are anyway )
Watching this gave me the feeling i first experienced when i first played this back in 1997, that experience and raw imagination feeling you get as a child, watching the AI throughout this is like a childs imagination adding the realism and elements of fantasy, what a nostalgic buzz id not felt when i first played this for the very first time
I think once its possible to record our dreams something similar will emerge! Changing objects textures scenes just like a dream! this is AI dreaming/Imagining. Very creepy and interesting!
Is this the future of gaming? 20 years from now when this kind of AI filter can run in real time on home hardware, why wouldn't they just make games like this? Develop the game loop using simple shapes and 3D maps like a regular game, and let the AI dress it up in real time as we play it.
It's certainly a potential future if the right people develop it: imagine a large RPG sandbox where you either play "free form" with your own steadily evolving story, AI-driven characters, etc, or you opt to create a basic "spine" for the story that the rest of the game wraps around to give a constant narrative. One game engine can churn out endless fantasy adventures, space pirate simulators, romance dating sims... The moment they find out a strong method to make A.I. consistent with what it's generating, it's pretty much over for original works. I certainly think actors are going to have to start selling their voices and faces to keep their jobs when the technology gets even better; you'll be able to buy the "DiCaprio Package" and insert him into any film or game you like, AI does the rest. Imagine playing through something like the Mass Effect Trilogy or RDR2 using famous actors for characters, or the faces and voices of your own friends and family, running realtime on A.I. and looking photorealistic.
So basically when we are dreaming our brain applies AI to the little bits of information we have in our subconscious and memory. Since it's not reality, but only our limited processing power applied to imitate reality, we get this.
Watching these seems like watching modern day FMV's. Imagine that when the technology becomes perfected developers could simultaneously release the game with the usual CGI graphics as well as an AI movie version like this of the game.
This looks really cool. So much great game design in the 90s, it's the one form of media I would actually like to see remake/reboots of is SNES and N64 games with a graphics and light QOL improvements. Majoras Mask, OoT, DK64, Mario 64, so many great games with fantastic gameplay and level design. The general aesthetic here works really well blending the nostalgic look with realistic environments. I dig it.
Glad to see something other than GTA. These are so fascinating to me! Love to see more N64/PS1 era games, it’s interesting to see how the AI interprets it
The future of gaming looks wild. I can imagine a device that remasters with AI in real time as you play. Either built into your PC or console, or a device that you plug your video and audio cables though on the way to a screen. You can tell it the style of graphics that you want and tinker with it to get what you want, saving presets to load every time you play.
Goes to show how good the animaton was back in 1997, if you watch how the guns respond to the controls etc, it feels really impressive the work that the animators and rigging team did at the time to capture that much in such little amounts of polygons. Animation really makes video games live or die.
This is awesome! My childhood game! I loved to stand beside the dams edge and let myself get gunned down off the cliff so I can watch it in slow motion replay.
Despite the jank I'm really impressed with this, kinda makes me wonder how Darksiders 2 would look! That would look freaking gorgeous, love ya work! Subbed
Whoooaaaaahh I have such mixed feelings about this. The architecture has that military Brutalist style which suits the mood. But that uncanny undertone with all the artifacting is just strange. Awesome video though.

2:54 for Pedro Pascal as James Bond lol

AI is fascinating, it's feels dream like, but there's something really unsettling about the images it creates.
its like a child seeing for the first time

exactly, *because* it's dream-like!

when i was a child i thought this weapon was a giant duracel battery 0:44
I suppose it helped that literally only the barrel was showing. Funny you can hardly see the magazine at all.
i used to call it pencil gun
me and my brothers used to think the same thing!!!!
I called it a pencil too 😂
lol x´D
Sometimes it looks photorealistic and other times it looks like Black (2006) when you try to play it via backwards compatibility.
So thats the "Ultra 64" that should be in 1996? Awesome.
This turned out really well. It looks like an action movie. The result was impressive.
Everything looks like it's made from an old camera photo I just took of my street.
Yes, I love it. It really captures that Gopnik style.

This is the Goldeneye 64 remake we deserve!!!
Dude, this is CRAZY, considering this is based on an old but iconic game from 1997.
This is how I remember the graphics feeling at the time.
I like how the truck kept flickering through different designs as if the AI couldn’t decide what fit the scene the best.
This is seriously awesome!! 👏
“Why are you running” 😂 that’s most violent that anything you ever saw in call of duty😂
This is how I remember goldeneye on the n64 😂
That was sorta weird, like a dream sequence captured and recorded. Awesome video.

And it still has that 90s feel to it! Love every bit of it!
Ah yes, the finger gun (0:08), my favorite gun in the game. Gives new meaning to finger bang.
I would play the heck outta that game 😂!!!! Super cool!
why does the look of this video feel like a fever dream

kind of yea, look up kkrieger, the famous 96k game. Imagine THAT tech but with AI tech.
It would require an amount of CPU absolutely unthinkable.
It's fine to make it render a video, but in real time, it's pretty much impossible
We have quite similar situations
Neat, one day soon all games can be instantly 'upscaled' in many many ways - all free of charge 😊
BRO THIS WAS SO GOOD. Perfect Dark please!
Looks like some of the dreams I have from time to time.
When i was sick as kid and had 39.5 C fever, this is what i saw at night after playing goldeneye all day staying home from school.

I didnt expect Bond to be played by Pedro Pascal at the end
all of a sudden it feels like they've been training us for something
In the early/mid 90s, we did had real footage rail shooters .
