Not related at least in my opinion... I think the correlation lies in these 2 songs in particular. His last words on Castle were "shit.. I don't know" and his last words on Arose were "now I know". IMO I think that's where the correlation is.
I'm so glad Em didn't pass in 2008, so many great artists overdosed and didn't make it, it's a miracle from God that he made it. It wasn't meant for him to go yet

I can’t listen to arose without crying.. As a GIRL Stan I loved revival!! The GAME industry Called it trashed but nope at least not to me. Believe is one of the most passionate powerful songs ever. I like beautiful but it was on different album. But u did a great job!! The album he was referring to when he said "ill put out this last album, then I'm done with it, fuck it" wasn't Encore
He was spaaking about King Mathers, an album that was set to release in December of 2007 (you can actually find and listen to most of the entire album online). In it, he pretty much speaks on how his entire life is spiralling down and that he's quitting rap for good. But then, due to his drug issues and him generally not liking the album, it was cancelled/postponed. However, he overdosed in December 2007 (the month that King Mathers was originally set to release), which is the event that is spoken about in Arose, which contributed to him getting the motivation to get his life back on-track and then led him to release Relapse in 2009 and get back into the rap industry. And the rest is history

Eminem’s daughter graduated highschool with honours. Pretty sure she went to Michigan State as well, so he did a great job raising her. He’s always been there for her... when he was on tour back in the day he used to fly home after every show just so he could be there to drive her to school in the morning. He was at her graduation but had to watch it on tv from another room in the school. He’s a really good dad

This is by far my favorite Em reaction video n they r 2 of my best songs. Heard them damn near 100x's n just cant get enough yet still Arose gets to me everytime 🥺🥺. I love Em as an artist n in my opinion is the greatest rapper ever to grace this earth. There will never b another. We should be honored, fan or not to be alive to witness such a historic event with front row seats. Em is like fine wine. He gets better with time. Revival is probably my favorite as album from what he has done. He is more mature in this and more open and that is what talks to me personally. There is some songs that I put over this but as whole the album is my favorite. From what I have understood this album got a lot of negative feedback before anyone even heard one song from it so the attitude was against it before it even came out. That is why I don't put much weight on the critique that is out there. Sometimes I also have a feeling that hip hop heads are so focused on the beat that they miss the bigger picture and that is what you need with some songs on this album. With this combination though...I don't listen it often because it is something that hits too close to home and brings me into tears when I listen it. Idk. Everyone has their opinion and are entitled to have one but maybe this one was for people who are able to see it as part of artistic growth and piece of art. That is what it is for me. I have started to stay away from reactions with this album because I find it really annoying when they most of the time start with the sentence 'this album sucks'. Well it didn't suck for me so why I would want to watch you not even give it a fair chance. Sorry the rant. The songs and the album just raises a lot of emotions clearly lol.

If he had succeeded...we would never have had Eminem!!! He meant what he said in the beginning of this song....He didn't have the slightest clue what he would do if all of this fell through! He felt like a complete failure and spiraled down fast!

Aw, you left the Revival-reactions without Walk on Water? 😢 When I first heard it, it felt a bit strange, I'll admit. but now, it's actually one of my favorite songs of his. Anyway - these two songs are hard to stomach. Great (especially Castle imo), but man, they wrench my heartstrings. I always wonder what it's like to stand in the booth and talk/yell such incredibly intimate, personal details into a microphone, knowing everyone will hear them.
And then I imagine how much of a punch in the guts it would be to hear people just trash the album without even considering or mentioning how much he put in there. I mean... that's like someone finding your psychiatrist's notes and reading them out and laughing about them! Even if critics criticize the production, they could have at least acknowledged what he did there. So yeah.... I'd be pissed enough for two more albums at LEAST, too. Maybe even for a third. (here's me hoping)
(Sorry for the length, but did you listen to "Bad Husband"? You really should. It's his (public) apology to Kim and in an earlier track (Deja Vu? Not sure) he already says that he will always love Kim and do everything for her, any time. )

This was Eminem’s SECOND time being in a coma. He was in a 10 day coma as a kid after being hit in the head by an object thrown by a bully. He raps about it in a couple of songs. After the 2nd coma (overdose) Eminem had to re learn how to speak, read and write as well as other basic motor skills. Just goes to show how great he truly is.

R ToneyReactions em overdosed once before around the slim shady era which was a year before Dre signed him (1997). He got fired from his job and wrote/recorded a song called “rock bottom” and overdosed in the studio. You should react to it at some point.

R ToneyReactions I think with songs like Arose it’s easy to get caught up in the message and storytelling, and some of the bars get overlooked. With Ems music sometimes you gotta put the puzzle together, and sometimes you just gotta sit back and listen to him paint the picture.

Just admit it rtoney you was looking for trap beats when you skimmed through this album. You've reviewed half the album and called all the songs fire while nodding to the beats.... Revival as an album isn't for everyone but there was no drop off here .
Wasn't looking for "trap beats" just was looking for musically pleasing beats that sounded good to me.... And I never said my boy fell off or the his skills diminished! I just said the production wasn't that great.. But lyrically and rap wise he still killed it! 💯💪🏽 Doing this Reaction thing kinda changed my mind a bit cz I missed out on a few gems tho! @@ToneyReactions some people might call those generic Em songs but the execution and flow changes are on point and the chorus no matter how poppy they are . Are on point and go with the verses. You can hear Eminem experimenting subtlety with the formula here with flow segments that we hear in a larger scale on music to be murdered by . Hope you like them if not ,well it's all subjective lol
