If the Fuel Sensors were working, the Actual Values should change when the vehicle is rocked, along with the gasoline level in the tank ... but they didn't. Normally, one would check for the Left & Right Fuel Gauge Sensor Fault Codes... 90DA, 90DB, 90DC, 90DD for L & R OPEN or SHORT Circuits. This Technician did not check for these fault codes (perhaps he did not have the STAR System toi do so). The most common occurrence for a faulty Fuel Gauge to read "ZERO" is associated with a fault in the Right Side Fuel Sensor, which is attached to the Fuel Pump.... which triggers Fault Code 90DB. I have a Mercedes 2001 W203 C320 I have a problem with the fuel gauge do you know where is the fuel gauge fuse please. When I put the new cluster the Gauge going up and down and staying on all time any idea please. Thank you
I have the same issue on mine. Mine is a 2008 E320 Bluetec. I don't know yet what is wrong.
How were you able to tell that your fuel pump was going out??? What signs did you get leading up to it??
I have a 2017 Mercedes E300. Ever since I got the Service B7, it’s been acting up. When I looked at the itemized receipt of the service B7, one of the things they did had to do with cleaning the fuel pump or something along those lines. I’ve been getting weird sounds from the muffler ever since then. The car would idle kind of weird. I mentioned it to Mercedes’ and they said to bring it in. When I brought it in, they heard no noise and said that it’s because they just performed a service on it. I left, and the noise continued. However, a few months later, now my fuel gauge isn’t working. I just pumped $35.00 in my tank and the fuel range never moved, neither did the fuel gauge. So I scheduled an appointment with Mercedes’.
But is this a sign of the fuel pump? Or what could this be? Remind you, this is a 2017 Mercedes’ Benz E300 RWD. Thanks
So the whole rear SAM had to be replaced to have the gauge work again?
Yoooo bro. Tell me how you can tell how much Gas you have? My gauge jsut went out and I can’t tell how much gas I have. It’s pissing me off lol MB doesn’t have an appointment until Jan 6. Not sure how I’ll last for that long 🤦🏽♂️

Hi i have a problem with my gauge cluster(i think), the fuel level never goes below 1/4 and when it reaches the 1/4 it means my tank is empty. however everything higher than 1/4 works just fine. what do you guys think ? the diagnostic says 2 values in the both half of tank
Did you ever get this resolved? I have replaced both my fuel pump level sensor and driver side fuel level sensor and still won’t read below 1/4 tank.
On my 2008 Mercedes W211 E320 Diesel I have the same problem. The only difference my gauge is digital.

@@monicaplascencia4780 I finally got my issue resolved.
As my Mercedes has two units inside the tank I had to replace both of them. One is the transmitter and the other is where the fuel pump is located.
At the beginning replacing only the transmitter was enough but very soon after the other unit also stopped working. After replacing both of them everything works fine.
Im having problems with my Mercedes c240 2002 fuel gauge my tank is full and my fuel pump is good.but it's not reading anything how do i check for the problem?

Barbell King replaced the rear Sam, program and coded it !

I changed the fuel pump and sender on my 08 s600 , now the gauge does not work, anyone know where the fuse is?
Did you ever figure this out? I had exact issue - replaced pump and sender as I had a burnt out wire issue - but gauge was working until I replaced. Think I didn't plug in something right....
fuggasi no!, my benz guy said there is a fuse but i dont see where, i just go on miles driven before i fill up, i rather spend the money on good servicing and oil, when i get round to it i will take it to the indy near my house. Let me know what happens to yours mate.
