Try sayu/dori/Nahida team. Dori enables you to get consistent electro swirls with sayu on field. Electro swirls can aggravate too. I like furina, kazuha fischl, or even beidou for the last slot most. Kazuha can use VV himself end enable a different set for sayu. No clue what the best main stats for sayu are here.
Ye, with tf you have basically non-stop infusion so NA combos arent really a problem unless you play any other set... Id highly recoment it over any other set, even with furina...
I’ve heard rumblings that quick swap shock rock with dori/navia/fischl/geo is fun; since I know you love navia and probably have the pieces necessary to put this together, I’d love to know what you think if you end up trying it (I’m thinking maybe 4pc archaic petra ningguang with hakushin ring in the flex slot because of all the dmg bonus%? Idk)
Left a reply on my original comment, it’s a bit lengthy to repost here, on mobile so I’d have to copy paste a lot lol… but I regularly play dori as a healer / battery so I have a much different experience than your showcase.
I feel like there is a phenomenon that arises when a character is deemed useless or weak. When a character receives negative feedback, people will be more reluctant to build that character, and thus, guides are more sparse and rare. This causes a reaction whereby people will avoid the character, which could obscure the value of that character since people will not test it with other team compositions. That is why channels like this are valuable, since they offer insight into characters people would deem useless by giving them a spotlight through guides.
It also depends on constellations I believe. I've been using c0-c2 XQ (slowly getting 1 con at a time) and he was good from c0 even if my sisters xq that just got c6 looks to be a noticeable improvement. How good is c0 dori compared to c6 though? If I built my c1 (now c2) would I find her anywhere near as good as Jello did at c6? If its just a nice noticeable improvement sure but it looks gamechanging to me to get that c6 which I bet alot of testers didnt have, dismissed her and never tried again even if they got her c6.
It's also a case that, even if c6 , the character is still rather niche. Like with Dori, you're talking about a pretty specific case, and one where she still isn't that good. Odds are, by the time people get her C6, they have other, better characters that fill the role already. And then there's the Furina factor, where you have one Furina, and over half the roster being average or below that are "playable" now because you can team them with Furina. That said, I'd say Dori has always been a bit underrated, but at the same time, people not using her is also understandable. She's burst dependent, and Kuki is overall the far superior electro healer. And there are a lot of other healers that bring more to the table as well. But she was never as bad as, say, Xinyan. Instead, she's more at the same combat level as Sayu: functional, with a fun mechanic, but there are just better team comps that don't use her.
@@Axterix13 She only needs c2. Anyone saying otherwise is spreading Anti-Dori propaganda. Jean and Sucrose make up for any electro application and she can guarantee any anemo unit absorbs electro. She clears Kuki and I've had Kuki lv90 before dendro existed. 😎
You should have also mentioned she's basically the queen of co-op. Her burst attaches to all players. Rapidly heals them and gives them massive energy regen. Even at c0, she's pretty god tier in co-op.
Maybe if you need electro. Energy is never a problem in co-op lol. The burst has a range so it's not always ideal. I'd say Furina is the queen of co-op in capable hands at least. Switching from personal damage to strong healing (with a massive range) on a whim, and having the most busted buff in the game on ult. Even c2 Diona with Raven Bow is as good or better than Dori, 100% uptime on a strong shield plus a healing field (that also gives 200 EM at c6).
Yes! YEEEES! It's working! My gospel on Dori is working, slowly but surely changing people's perception on her. First TGS, then Ithireal and now you. Now gotta get Flip in on this train as well. Now, what I personally love about Dori as a DPS is that her offers role consolidation. She does so much for only being one character...and that's not even where it ends. Her normal attack multipliers are abnormally high and if you look at her stats even her defence stat is abnormally high. Combined with ascending with HP she gets extremely tanky for no good reason even when built as a dps. You actually showed this in the beginning when fighting Coppelia. You were just face tanking it. She's been slept on for so long, but at least she's starting to get the love she finally deserves. Finally, I love her voice. Her JP VA is so unhinged, it's great. Everyone has to listen to her Mora song in JP at least once. Do it!
Even though I don’t like her and I’m probably not going to build her ever, I really respect you for making this guide. Most other guide makers would never make a guide on more unpopular characters like dori so I really like that you really are test and building every character.
thank you for speaking good words on her name! i got her c6 after wishing on THAT venti/wrio banner (i saved for 8 months, no way i was going to let dori stop me) and she surprised me when i decided to build her! heals more than my baizhu, surprisingly smooth playstyle for a claymore, very fun in taser/aggravate variations and with furina she's actually a better pick than kuki!

Dori mains: They called me a madman. Btw, 4TF is absolutely the way to go on C6 Dori since the combined CD reduction from the 4p set bonus and her A1 passive gives almost 100% uptime on her infusion, which is probably why your plunge Dori felt so bad to play.

4tf on C6 dori is her BiS from what i heard from Zajeff. This is mostly cause it makes her electro infusion 100% or almost 100% uptime, it also generally increases electro related reactions unlike mare hunter.

Oddly enough, I'm actually building both Sayu and Dori for my chibi aggrevate team. So much fun to use. After Dori's burst I would just simply swirl and roll around with Sayu😅
Its so beautiful that you saw potential in her. Idk why but its especially seen when you begin playing genshin how good she is. If you have more characters- thats when people dont look on her anymore and stick to bad opinion on her that shouldnt take place. Congrats!!^^ I hope we will someone make mini ganyu (Diona dps or sub dps build for Hu Tao or Klee teams thats really great and in similar situation now)

As a Dori main - I'm so happy when people say shes not bad. Heavily underrated, extremely forgotten becasue of "unfortunate" release date, where dendro was hype and become new meta. I still didnt watch this video, but just the title makes me super happy 😊 Once I finish the video, I will porbably write another comment, hehe.
No mention of the sayu or jean electro infusion :( i highly recommend checking it out, dori is the only character that self infuses with electro. It makes for great hyperbloom or aggravates on the swirls at the same time

@@JelloImpact Nahida (Xingqiu/Kokomi/Barbara) Dori Jean Give Dori and Jean only EM and ER Kokomi can use Hakushin ring if you have it. Barbara and XQ is easier to use because they can run Favonius weapons and instructor Xiphos moonlight would be best for Jean Nahida just needs to have the most EM as possible. Dori doesn't have to be on field until the rotation ends and some more electro is needed. *This team does not require constellations or 5 star weapons* It clears abyss floors for me between 1min to 1min 30s. grouped enemies=faster

I only recently started playing genshin and I was really surprised when I heard that so many players don‘t like her. She is a really fun character in my opinion, both personality and play style wise
I'm a huge fan of sumeru's favorite scammer. You don't build Dori for damage, you build her for swag and drip. I've cleared floor 12 with Dori multiple times and yeah Furina carried but Dori drove all the way to 36 stars and that's where the fun factor is.
honestly as long as Dori's doing her job of healing and applying electro, she's doing her job well. Managed to 36 star with both Xinyan and Dori on the same team. It was fun lmao
I find Dori's best team to actually be Dori/Furina/Nahida/Fischl actually which is a team you haven't mentioned, a quickbloom dori if you will, dori applies a LOT of electro so she is a great fischl driver while also being the one to proc the hyperblooms most of the time, furina buffs the talent damage of dori fischl and nahida a lot so overall this team is super strong. Its similar to the Cyno Furina Nahida Baizhu Team except instead of Cyno baizhu they are replaced by on field Dori and Fischl which is actually a noticeable damage upgrade. Other than that great video, Dori is super underrated by most of the community and at C6 is a legitimately a great carry. You should try c6 plunge lynette with lynette faruzan furina xianyun its actually really good (not as good as xiao but its surprisingly good)
Yeah, thats definetely Dori best ST team I find the aggravate team with Kazuha instead of Furina better in AoE, just cause of the grouping But both are pretty good.

It’s odd when you compare it to Honkai Star Rail’s cast that contains plenty of outlaws. You can almost make a full arrest-on-sight team, although a setup like that currently lacks a sustain if I recall.

Would hate to make you even more crazy but would you do another video trying her on thundering fury and some other teams or things you'd want to try out. I've wanted to build her for fun but nobody has made any good videos on her. This is the first guide/showcase I've seen and it's really got me excited to finally gear her up
About charge atack - it doesn't proc c6, so it's no go. I personally like team: Dori fischl nahida furina It shows all her strength: Enabling furina buff for all team Enabling nahida buff for spread and hyperbloom. Driving fischle A4, and getting energy from her so dori's energy requirements become 0(I literally run her on 0 er and never had any problems). TF yeah, I find it the best her set. Not only it increases all electro and reaction dmg but it also makes electro infusion and HEALING almost 100% uptime(in my experience ~80%). The only and most problem of dori is her model and not only for her being small and not so quick, but bcs her claimor is often too small to reach enemies, and with her short infusion window it becomes a big problem to reposition urself and do at least some normals. So cs of it her healing really suffers and I often find myself with all team in 50% hp.
Okay, I main Dori for at least a year now. I joined this game for her and she never left my team the second I got her. I also have few builds for her, all tested out. In other words - I'm THE Dori main and I just know her. Before C6 the only way you can use her as a DPS is physical with 4pc. Pale Flame (since her E can get stacks). With cryo supports she will also proc superconduct, but let's be honest, unless you are extremely into making her DPS, there is no reason for it. After C6 physical Dori is almost impossible because of electro infusion, meaning you will lose dps. As people mentioned before, on field C6 Dori is best with TF. You can get 100% uptime with it on her skill, giving you 100% uptime on electro infusion ALSO making her ER requirements way more manageable. Plunge Dori (and her 3 seconds of infusion) - huge issue with Dori is her electro infusion which lasts 3 seconds. It's probably 3 jumps. With TF you can do E > 3 jumps > E > 3 jumps, but it didn't feel comfortable. Her E pushes her away from the enemies, losing precious time. (In this case losing 1 second can cost you her 4th, the strongest, hit!) From weapons Wolf Gravestone is not bad. It gives her atk and sometimes atk is more important than CD. Since she has low atk base AND her ascension stat is HP. I might be not doing it right, but I didn't see a lot of difference between atk and EM sands actually. Like I said, she likes atk. In my opinion Dori charged attack is just not worth it. It's long (like every claymore charged attack), the infusion lasts only 3 seconds and she spins only for half of stamina bar. You should try Dori with Jean for example! I heard it's a fun team. I know you are not doing co-op but she was made for it! So I feel like I should add this. She brings so much value in co-op games. She heals everyone (a lot btw.), applies electro, regenerate energy AND gives you a FREE dmg. My Dori does 1363 (514 non crit) dmg on her burst. And I know it doesn't seem a lot BUT. Her connector dmg hits 30 times. Even if we gonna say every 3rd hit is non crit, it gives us 32400 of pure electro dmg with no reactions at all. Now let's x4 this, since we are talking about coop. 129600. From burst alone in 4 players coop. It's literally FREE damage, while getting healing, ER regeneration A N D if your energy is below 50%, you gain 30% of ER. People are sleeping on Dori (Since I have maxed out Dori, I can provide some info/screenshots/videos if you need them too.)
I like how you give your honest opinion based on your experience with every character, its not always easy going against the majority and saying hey, i know some will throw a fit for me saying this, but im gonna say it regardless because my honesty goes above ppl pleasing and i really admire that, keep up the honest reviews i enjoy them a lot, imma give dori a try for sure 😆 i like her design
Love that you take your time to highlight niche characters like Dori, while not super unknown usually it's mentioned as a side note. From the previous banner I got her up to C5, did a couple of 10 pulls with no luck but her set is mostly there whenever I get her final constellation.
When Furina came out, many people were using her with kuki in hyperbloom, but after getting Dori's c6, I was like "wouldn't this this be a busted combo?" C6 Dori with Thundering Fury has full uptime on her electro infusion, and teamwide heals with wide attacks to proc hyperbloom. Using nahida on the team also increases dori's EM by a ton, enabling her to run a healing bonus hat for more heals. With a sub dps as the 4th slot, you now have an on-fielder that procs hyperbloom, AND heals your entire team to max furina's fanfare so that your 3 other dps (furina, nahida + flex like XQ) can deal max damage
Hahahaha! This is the one I've been waiting for! I always thought that it'll be a great accomplishment if I can make characters like Dori graduate 12th floor, but at the same time I have no idea how to play or build her, not even as a support! So, thanks for this! I have every part needed (C11, even a Beacon) to try this out (except the final ascension but that's trivial stuff)
I don’t have C6 but the way I’ve always used her was with Sac sword and some er substats and she becomes a very competent healer and battery with 100% uptime. I even give her Deep Wood since characters like Tighnari, Al, and even Dendro traveler like other sets just as much so she becomes the dendro res shredder while applying electro. I know she’s never been perfect but the amount hate she got for her gameplay always felt exaggerated to me. I found her most useful in quick swap teams like Yea with Tighnari or characters with burst transformation like Cyno

I love Dori, tbh her announcement was what made me start thinking about playing Genshin, I'm glad that recently more people are realizing her true potential in quickbloom and aggravete teams 😊💖 ( and if you have any doubts because of the video, yes, 4 pc TF is the BIS for her in most teams, especially due to the Elemental skill cd reduction but if you have a good set of gilded dreams or MH (in Furina teams) you can use them no problem).

Thanks for the video! I think Yae is still better because she can also be an off-field sub-DPS while Dori can't. A a lot of Dori's value depends on you having Furina and/or Nahida. If you don't have Furina, there are better alternatives in Quickbloom and Electrocharged teams (because you can put Prototype Amber on Nahida or use Kuki since you don't need full team healing anymore), and if you don't have Nahida, she's not that great in Aggravate and Hyperbloom anymore since Keqing/Cyno/Yae+Yaoyao/Baizhu is better than Dori+Dendro MC/Collei. In the end, great players can sacrifice defensive utility, and then even Keqing is better than Dori. But I think it's almost impossible to play Cyno without any defensive utility so C6 Dori might still be better than Cyno (except Cyno Quickbloom with Baizhu and/or Xingqiu). I'd say that overall at C6 Dori is worse than Yae, better than Cyno (except quickbloom with Baizhu), and approximately in the same spot as Keqing. For a lot of players C6 Dori is gonna be better than Keqing, but the more you use Keqing and the more you play the game, the less you need defensive utility, especially in not very aggressive Abysses, and at some point Keqing becomes better than C6 Dori. So on average they are at about the same level. Noelle gives you a decent shield and probably deals more damage than Dori. But Dori's still probably better. I wouldn't say that they belong to different tiers though. I think that they both belong to the B tier at C6 (if S is the highest tier), and Keqing is there too. Yae is in A, Cyno is either low B or C.
11:00 one weapon you didn't mention is the portable power saw. It gives you hp substat for healing and then at R5 240 em AND 12 energy At R5, that has to be better than beacon cuz 240 em along is very valuable
You may not have earned for your Genshin's early access yet but what makes your channel fairly unique to others is that you diligently make guides for ALL characters including the underrated ones that most big Genshin Guides doesn't even bother. I thought it's just me that Dori have a fairly good potential at C6 (got her accidentally C6 during Nahida's 1st re-run and even until this day still don't have Nahida because instead they gave me a C6 Faruzan on her last run) especially when Furina came out. Thank you for this guide because there are some things we both got it right and some things that I missed to make Dori even a little bit better than my own builds on her.
Have been using Dori on Abyss for quite some time now (after I got her C4), with C6 she does really well as a driver for Furina, the 4 piece TF is the best for this, I also like to use Sacrificial for extra healing/Elemental Skill.

The thing is, people need to stop comparing Dori to Kuki. They are both healers, but their roles are completely different. Kuki is specifically designed to work in Hyperbloom team while Dori has the "option" to do so, but it's not her main playstyle. If we're talking about healing alone, Dori has significantly higher healing than Kuki. It may not be as important back in the day, but it becomes more relevant the more aggressive the enemies are. The addition of Furina also elevates her viability as a character even though it is locked behind her C6; but is not uncommon for 4* characters to be Constellation dependent. There is one more place where Dori will always be better than Kuki, and that is Co-op. In Co-op (assuming that NRE doesn't exist or used), Kuki can only realistically heal one teammate, and she has to hug them 24/7. Dori on the other hand can heal the whole team as long as they are within range of the Jinni (about as big as Bennett's Circle). Not only that, since there are at most 4 active characters in Co-op, her effective Electro Application is also quadrupled in size; significantly increases the chance of her Ult hitting Dendro Cores to trigger Hyperblooms.
Good to see some Dori content. I built her while I was bored and waiting for Yae's banner and at C6 with Furina she's really good in quickbloom for good hyperbloom damage and driving Fischl.

You need basically at least c4 to feel comfortable with her whereas Kuki is simpler to build and can work with c0 Some other teams that I use you didn't mention (or i might have missed) 1. Aggravate Raiden. Raiden, Dori, Kazuha, Nahida 2. All Reaction Combo: Nahida, Furina, Dori, Xiangling 3. DoriFischl : Nahida, Furina, Dori, Fischl
Very nice video about a character that I think deserves to be built at C6, I've done it and play her sometimes. There are caveats and you've touched some of them. Good on-fielders have qualities that Dori doesn't have: resistance to interruption, range, tankiness... You're a Raiden player so you know that. Her N3 or N2DN2 are clunky with short range, she can whiff them, be interrupted and you lose the infusion. We currently have comfortable abyss cycles but a comeback of beasts/heralds floors would spell bad times for on-field Dori.

Pre-C6 and for mostly off-field use, the Inazuma crafted claymore, Katsugarikiri Nagamasa is also good, providing her with energy on E use. Combined with her A4 giving her energy on E use, it really helps her have her burst available. It also has an ER% stat, which helps that A4. All of this is good, since she's dependent on her burst for much of her healing. And it isn't crit rate dependent, so that simplifies gearing quite a bit. One negative about her kit to be aware of: her burst infuses the team with electro. This can cause issues when dealing with pyro using enemies, or anemo ones if you have someone like Benny (who infuses pyro with his) on the team as well. Such as is prone to happen in co-op, where silly people will swap to Benny after you pick Dori, I imagine because they don't realize Dori already has the healing covered, and then some anemo will swirl things and boom, you get overloaded ;)
As a Keqing lover who loves her aggravate team, this hurts me on a spiritual level. I'd suggest you pls review Keqing again. Ain't no way our og fake Catgirl is worse than this grubbin.
After watching I can say I don’t build her like you do because she’s a healer, I build her like a healer… you build her more like an electric Noelle which really undervalues her in my opinion. She can be good in this role like you’re saying, but I think you’re not looking at the value of being a healer + ER restorer for the team. The benefit of her kit is her healing multipliers are insane if built for healer role she can be a substitute for any Furina team because she does 10k+ heals/tick so even if it’s single target, w/ swapping it does more than enough healing to stay topped up. You don’t need c6 to have this playstyle, but it does fill in the gaps because sometimes you’d have to stay on field 1-2 extra seconds to self heal up on dori. With c6 you have 100% up healing time with either lamp being out or using a quick c6 skill infusion. You also don’t need to get Dori past 70/80 or 80/80 for this build to work so she’s relatively cheap to build. Also her kit does get benefits from having ER. Her a4 gives her 5 energy refund on her skill for each 100% ER she has capping out at 15 energy or 300%. My recommended build would be on the newest healing set Song of Days Past because it can proc multiple times unlike other burst healers where it only procs once. I use Fav sword on her for better energy management and go healing circ / ER sands / and HP goblet, prioritize ER / HP / CR substats. Another good artifact option is Deepwood when playing certain dendro/electro comps. I really like using deepwood when playing Yae, kazuha, alhaitham, Dori. From a supportive role you want dori to have burst up time as much as possible because not only does it heal, it gives energy back to the team which is good for units like yae miko who take a few seconds to set up, she’s also restoring some energy from Dori’s lamp while doing so. Additional tips: if you have a kuki, don’t build Dori for hyperbloom, she’s just inferior in this role and level 90 on her not worth imo. Spin to win strategy doesn’t really work. The electro infusion healing only works with normal attacks not charged attacks. The best rotation is use burst switch off, do all your other team mates. When lamp runs out switch Dori do skill and attack 3-4 times, by then you should be 100% energy and off CD to rotate again. I think for dps build (haven’t tried but I can presume), TF build is probably best because it lowers CD for skill. I used to run both exiled and instructors set on her and while they work good, the benefits from Song of Days Past or deepwood are way better, but if you have these sets laying around w/ correct mainstats they work really good. I would say her best team core is Furina / kazuha / Dori because you double swirl and you can really slot any 3rd member to do good, I have been using Navia. Also if it’s like single target I just personally do double geo Navia furina Dori. Don’t mean to bash your video or anything just giving my pov as a dori user! I think you’re right that at c6 she’s like an electric Noelle if built that dps route, but her main healer route is actually very undervalued as well and gets much better w/ c6.
Throughout sumeru. I actually thought that Dori was a good comedic relief and a good stab at the corporate greedy ideology that people have. And I thought people just didn't play her cuz she's bad I'm only now learning that being annoying was a bigger factor than just her being bad. Kinda sad but what can you do
I feel like a major thing people don't consider when they write off characters like Dehya and Dori/any of the communities "least useful" characters, is that they actually tend to shine ALOT better in Co-op. Like Dori is a full team healer who gives multiple strings of electro application during her burst and feeds the entire parties energy + can do all of that decently even when built for her own damage. If you play Kuki in co-op her healing is limited and her damage is lackluster at best outside of the pure EM hyperbloom and even with cons she's not offering much of anything for others, but in single player she's superior in every way. If we had more content where co-op play combat were a focus characters like her can shine more. Similar case with Dehya, she's mid at best when it's a single player trying to make benefits of her buffs or damage especially since off-field appliers aren't too good with her, but if a seperate player is dealing the damage with elements that both can benefit from, she's suddenly alot better and plays way more comfortably. I genuinely think the only actually bad character in the game is candace, and that's mostly because she doesn't actually serve any true purpose well. Other characters people say are bad are simply outshined by more meta characters who do similar things, but never all the same things.
I don't comment a lot on videos, but I do watch everything that you post on this channel. Thank you for the unbiased review and guide. Even if a character is not meta, some characters do not deserve the hate they get here on youtube. I absolutely hate slander and ugly talking some characters... people forget those characters are still someone's favorite characters nevertheless. And as so many people admit, genshin can be played/finished/abyssed with whomever you want. I've been a been a huge dori fan ever since I started playing. I actually like the fact that she is not an angel, or a pure, innocent child. She's a naughty gremlin, and I like the diversity. I think that her character is adorable. Thank you for fairly critiquing the character.

Unlike most guides there’s very little reliable community info around Dori. So any suggestions you have, leave them below in this comment (ideally with sources) and I will update this comment accordingly if the info makes sense with my own knowledge and testing.

Try sayu/dori/Nahida team. Dori enables you to get consistent electro swirls with sayu on field. Electro swirls can aggravate too. I like furina, kazuha fischl, or even beidou for the last slot most. Kazuha can use VV himself end enable a different set for sayu. No clue what the best main stats for sayu are here.
Ye, with tf you have basically non-stop infusion so NA combos arent really a problem unless you play any other set... Id highly recoment it over any other set, even with furina...
I’ve heard rumblings that quick swap shock rock with dori/navia/fischl/geo is fun; since I know you love navia and probably have the pieces necessary to put this together, I’d love to know what you think if you end up trying it (I’m thinking maybe 4pc archaic petra ningguang with hakushin ring in the flex slot because of all the dmg bonus%? I feel like there is a phenomenon that arises when a character is deemed useless or weak. When a character receives negative feedback, people will be more reluctant to build that character, and thus, guides are more sparse and rare. This causes a reaction whereby people will avoid the character, which could obscure the value of that character since people will not test it with other team compositions. That is why channels like this are valuable, since they offer insight into characters people would deem useless by giving them a spotlight through guides.
It also depends on constellations I believe. I've been using c0-c2 XQ (slowly getting 1 con at a time) and he was good from c0 even if my sisters xq that just got c6 looks to be a noticeable improvement. How good is c0 dori compared to c6 though? If I built my c1 (now c2) would I find her anywhere near as good as Jello did at c6? If its just a nice noticeable improvement sure but it looks gamechanging to me to get that c6 which I bet alot of testers didnt have, dismissed her and never tried again even if they got her c6.
It's also a case that, even if c6 , the character is still rather niche. Like with Dori, you're talking about a pretty specific case, and one where she still isn't that good. Odds are, by the time people get her C6, they have other, better characters that fill the role already. And then there's the Furina factor, where you have one Furina, and over half the roster being average or below that are "playable" now because you can team them with Furina.
That said, I'd say Dori has always been a bit underrated, but at the same time, people not using her is also understandable. She's burst dependent, and Kuki is overall the far superior electro healer. And there are a lot of other healers that bring more to the table as well. But she was never as bad as, say, Xinyan. Instead, she's more at the same combat level as Sayu: functional, with a fun mechanic, but there are just better team comps that don't use her.

You should have also mentioned she's basically the queen of co-op. Her burst attaches to all players. Rapidly heals them and gives them massive energy regen. Even at c0, she's pretty god tier in co-op.

Maybe if you need electro. Energy is never a problem in co-op lol. The burst has a range so it's not always ideal. I'd say Furina is the queen of co-op in capable hands at least. Switching from personal damage to strong healing (with a massive range) on a whim, and having the most busted buff in the game on ult. Even c2 Diona with Raven Bow is as good or better than Dori, 100% uptime on a strong shield plus a healing field (that also gives 200 EM at c6).

Now, what I personally love about Dori as a DPS is that her offers role consolidation. She does so much for only being one character...and that's not even where it ends. Her normal attack multipliers are abnormally high and if you look at her stats even her defence stat is abnormally high. Combined with ascending with HP she gets extremely tanky for no good reason even when built as a dps.
You actually showed this in the beginning when fighting Coppelia. You were just face tanking it. She's been slept on for so long, but at least she's starting to get the love she finally deserves.
Finally, I love her voice. Her JP VA is so unhinged, it's great. Everyone has to listen to her Mora song in JP at least once. Do it!

thank you for speaking good words on her name! i got her c6 after wishing on THAT venti/wrio banner (i saved for 8 months, no way i was going to let dori stop me) and she surprised me when i decided to build her! heals more than my baizhu, surprisingly smooth playstyle for a claymore, very fun in taser/aggravate variations and with furina she's actually a better pick than kuki!
As a Dori lover, Dori being placed so high meta wise makes me really happy.

No mention of the sayu or jean electro infusion :( i highly recommend checking it out, dori is the only character that self infuses with electro. It makes for great hyperbloom or aggravates on the swirls at the same time

I'm a huge fan of sumeru's favorite scammer. You don't build Dori for damage, you build her for swag and drip. I've cleared floor 12 with Dori multiple times and yeah Furina carried but Dori drove all the way to 36 stars and that's where the fun factor is.

Yaaay finally Dori getting some love!!! I was so shocked when I played her because everyone said she was bad! She’s super fun!
I find Dori's best team to actually be Dori/Furina/Nahida/Fischl actually which is a team you haven't mentioned, a quickbloom dori if you will, dori applies a LOT of electro so she is a great fischl driver while also being the one to proc the hyperblooms most of the time, furina buffs the talent damage of dori fischl and nahida a lot so overall this team is super strong. Its similar to the Cyno Furina Nahida Baizhu Team except instead of Cyno baizhu they are replaced by on field Dori and Fischl which is actually a noticeable damage upgrade. Other than that great video, Dori is super underrated by most of the community and at C6 is a legitimately a great carry.
You should try c6 plunge lynette with lynette faruzan furina xianyun its actually really good (not as good as xiao but its surprisingly good)

I went out of my way to build C6 *Dori,* as I kinda "main" every healer in the game... The results? *_No regrets._*
About charge atack - it doesn't proc c6, so it's no go.

Dori fischl nahida furina
It shows all her strength:
Enabling furina buff for all team
Enabling nahida buff for spread and hyperbloom.
Driving fischle A4, and getting energy from her so dori's energy requirements become 0(I literally run her on 0 er and never had any problems).
TF yeah, I find it the best her set. Not only it increases all electro and reaction dmg but it also makes electro infusion and HEALING almost 100% uptime(in my experience ~80%).
The only and most problem of dori is her model and not only for her being small and not so quick, but bcs her claimor is often too small to reach enemies, and with her short infusion window it becomes a big problem to reposition urself and do at least some normals. So cs of it her healing really suffers and I often find myself with all team in 50% hp.
Okay, I main Dori for at least a year now. I joined this game for her and she never left my team the second I got her. I also have few builds for her, all tested out. In other words - I'm THE Dori main and I just know her.
Before C6 the only way you can use her as a DPS is physical with 4pc. Pale Flame (since her E can get stacks). With cryo supports she will also proc superconduct, but let's be honest, unless you are extremely into making her DPS, there is no reason for it. After C6 physical Dori is almost impossible because of electro infusion, meaning you will lose dps.
As people mentioned before, on field C6 Dori is best with TF. You can get 100% uptime with it on her skill, giving you 100% uptime on electro infusion ALSO making her ER requirements way more manageable.
Plunge Dori (and her 3 seconds of infusion) - huge issue with Dori is her electro infusion which lasts 3 seconds. It's probably 3 jumps. With TF you can do E > 3 jumps > E > 3 jumps, but it didn't feel comfortable. Her E pushes her away from the enemies, losing precious time. (In this case losing 1 second can cost you her 4th, the strongest, hit!)
From weapons Wolf Gravestone is not bad. It gives her atk and sometimes atk is more important than CD. Since she has low atk base AND her ascension stat is HP.
I might be not doing it right, but I didn't see a lot of difference between atk and EM sands actually. Like I said, she likes atk.
In my opinion Dori charged attack is just not worth it. It's long (like every claymore charged attack), the infusion lasts only 3 seconds and she spins only for half of stamina bar.
You should try Dori with Jean for example! I heard it's a fun team.
I know you are not doing co-op but she was made for it! So I feel like I should add this.
She brings so much value in co-op games. She heals everyone (a lot btw.), applies electro, regenerate energy AND gives you a FREE dmg. My Dori does 1363 (514 non crit) dmg on her burst. And I know it doesn't seem a lot BUT. Her connector dmg hits 30 times. Even if we gonna say every 3rd hit is non crit, it gives us 32400 of pure electro dmg with no reactions at all. Now let's x4 this, since we are talking about coop. 129600. From burst alone in 4 players coop. It's literally FREE damage, while getting healing, ER regeneration A N D if your energy is below 50%, you gain 30% of ER.

Love that you take your time to highlight niche characters like Dori, while not super unknown usually it's mentioned as a side note. From the previous banner I got her up to C5, did a couple of 10 pulls with no luck but her set is mostly there whenever I get her final constellation.

When Furina came out, many people were using her with kuki in hyperbloom, but after getting Dori's c6, I was like "wouldn't this this be a busted combo?"
C6 Dori with Thundering Fury has full uptime on her electro infusion, and teamwide heals with wide attacks to proc hyperbloom. Using nahida on the team also increases dori's EM by a ton, enabling her to run a healing bonus hat for more heals. With a sub dps as the 4th slot, you now have an on-fielder that procs hyperbloom, AND heals your entire team to max furina's fanfare so that your 3 other dps (furina, nahida + flex like XQ) can deal max damage
i heavy invested in dori when she dropped and then didn’t use her much. this made me break her out of storage

I don’t have C6 but the way I’ve always used her was with Sac sword and some er substats and she becomes a very competent healer and battery with 100% uptime. I even give her Deep Wood since characters like Tighnari, Al, and even Dendro traveler like other sets just as much so she becomes the dendro res shredder while applying electro.
I know she’s never been perfect but the amount hate she got for her gameplay always felt exaggerated to me. I found her most useful in quick swap teams like Yea with Tighnari or characters with burst transformation like Cyno

A a lot of Dori's value depends on you having Furina and/or Nahida. If you don't have Furina, there are better alternatives in Quickbloom and Electrocharged teams (because you can put Prototype Amber on Nahida or use Kuki since you don't need full team healing anymore), and if you don't have Nahida, she's not that great in Aggravate and Hyperbloom anymore since Keqing/Cyno/Yae+Yaoyao/Baizhu is better than Dori+Dendro MC/Collei.
In the end, great players can sacrifice defensive utility, and then even Keqing is better than Dori. But I think it's almost impossible to play Cyno without any defensive utility so C6 Dori might still be better than Cyno (except Cyno Quickbloom with Baizhu and/or Xingqiu).
I'd say that overall at C6 Dori is worse than Yae, better than Cyno (except quickbloom with Baizhu), and approximately in the same spot as Keqing. For a lot of players C6 Dori is gonna be better than Keqing, but the more you use Keqing and the more you play the game, the less you need defensive utility, especially in not very aggressive Abysses, and at some point Keqing becomes better than C6 Dori. So on average they are at about the same level.
Noelle gives you a decent shield and probably deals more damage than Dori. But Dori's still probably better. I wouldn't say that they belong to different tiers though. I think that they both belong to the B tier at C6 (if S is the highest tier), and Keqing is there too. Yae is in A, Cyno is either low B or C.
11:00 one weapon you didn't mention is the portable power saw. It gives you hp substat for healing and then at R5 240 em AND 12 energy
At R5, that has to be better than beacon cuz 240 em along is very valuable
You may not have earned for your Genshin's early access yet but what makes your channel fairly unique to others is that you diligently make guides for ALL characters including the underrated ones that most big Genshin Guides doesn't even bother.
I thought it's just me that Dori have a fairly good potential at C6 (got her accidentally C6 during Nahida's 1st re-run and even until this day still don't have Nahida because instead they gave me a C6 Faruzan on her last run) especially when Furina came out. Thank you for this guide because there are some things we both got it right and some things that I missed to make Dori even a little bit better than my own builds on her.
Have been using Dori on Abyss for quite some time now (after I got her C4), with C6 she does really well as a driver for Furina, the 4 piece TF is the best for this, I also like to use Sacrificial for extra healing/Elemental Skill.
I just got C6 Dori this version and been playing her in a number of teams in the abyss. I enjoyed her more engaging playstyle more than Kuki.

Thank you for the guide! I actually like her design a lot, but the bad reviews made me cautious to build her. This guide gave me a good understanding and I will build her after getting her c6! She seems fun to play, although I can understand those who hate her character, hehe

The thing is, people need to stop comparing Dori to Kuki. They are both healers, but their roles are completely different. Kuki is specifically designed to work in Hyperbloom team while Dori has the "option" to do so, but it's not her main playstyle. If we're talking about healing alone, Dori has significantly higher healing than Kuki. It may not be as important back in the day, but it becomes more relevant the more aggressive the enemies are. The addition of Furina also elevates her viability as a character even though it is locked behind her C6; but is not uncommon for 4* characters to be Constellation dependent.
There is one more place where Dori will always be better than Kuki, and that is Co-op.
In Co-op (assuming that NRE doesn't exist or used), Kuki can only realistically heal one teammate, and she has to hug them 24/7.
Dori on the other hand can heal the whole team as long as they are within range of the Jinni (about as big as Bennett's Circle). Not only that, since there are at most 4 active characters in Co-op, her effective Electro Application is also quadrupled in size; significantly increases the chance of her Ult hitting Dendro Cores to trigger Hyperblooms.
This is the way. When its coop time I swap in Dori. People don't even realize they are now immortal with basically 100% burst uptime.

I'm so glad you make this guide because i myself just started playing c6 dori and she's fun surprisingly! Recorded spiral abyss run with her. I understand though why people don't want to build her. You need basically at least c4 to feel comfortable with her whereas Kuki is simpler to build and can work with c0
Some other teams that I use you didn't mention (or i might have missed)
1. Aggravate Raiden. Raiden, Dori, Kazuha, Nahida
2. All Reaction Combo: Nahida, Furina, Dori, Xiangling
3. DoriFischl : Nahida, Furina, Dori, Fischl
Very nice video about a character that I think deserves to be built at C6, I've done it and play her sometimes. There are caveats and you've touched some of them. Good on-fielders have qualities that Dori doesn't have: resistance to interruption, range, tankiness... You're a Raiden player so you know that. Her N3 or N2DN2 are clunky with short range, she can whiff them, be interrupted and you lose the infusion. We currently have comfortable abyss cycles but a comeback of beasts/heralds floors would spell bad times for on-field Dori.

Pre-C6 and for mostly off-field use, the Inazuma crafted claymore, Katsugarikiri Nagamasa is also good, providing her with energy on E use. Combined with her A4 giving her energy on E use, it really helps her have her burst available. It also has an ER% stat, which helps that A4. All of this is good, since she's dependent on her burst for much of her healing. And it isn't crit rate dependent, so that simplifies gearing quite a bit.
One negative about her kit to be aware of: her burst infuses the team with electro. This can cause issues when dealing with pyro using enemies, or anemo ones if you have someone like Benny (who infuses pyro with his) on the team as well. Such as is prone to happen in co-op, where silly people will swap to Benny after you pick Dori, I imagine because they don't realize Dori already has the healing covered, and then some anemo will swirl things and boom, you get overloaded ;)

Was looking forward to this one, she’s actually been a staple to my abyss teams since I got her. Looking forward to the watch!
After watching I can say I don’t build her like you do because she’s a healer, I build her like a healer… you build her more like an electric Noelle which really undervalues her in my opinion. She can be good in this role like you’re saying, but I think you’re not looking at the value of being a healer + ER restorer for the team.
The benefit of her kit is her healing multipliers are insane if built for healer role she can be a substitute for any Furina team because she does 10k+ heals/tick so even if it’s single target, w/ swapping it does more than enough healing to stay topped up. You don’t need c6 to have this playstyle, but it does fill in the gaps because sometimes you’d have to stay on field 1-2 extra seconds to self heal up on dori. With c6 you have 100% up healing time with either lamp being out or using a quick c6 skill infusion. You also don’t need to get Dori past 70/80 or 80/80 for this build to work so she’s relatively cheap to build.
Also her kit does get benefits from having ER. Her a4 gives her 5 energy refund on her skill for each 100% ER she has capping out at 15 energy or 300%. My recommended build would be on the newest healing set Song of Days Past because it can proc multiple times unlike other burst healers where it only procs once. I use Fav sword on her for better energy management and go healing circ / ER sands / and HP goblet, prioritize ER / HP / CR substats. Another good artifact option is Deepwood when playing certain dendro/electro comps. I really like using deepwood when playing Yae, kazuha, alhaitham, Dori. From a supportive role you want dori to have burst up time as much as possible because not only does it heal, it gives energy back to the team which is good for units like yae miko who take a few seconds to set up, she’s also restoring some energy from Dori’s lamp while doing so.
Additional tips: if you have a kuki, don’t build Dori for hyperbloom, she’s just inferior in this role and level 90 on her not worth imo. Spin to win strategy doesn’t really work. The electro infusion healing only works with normal attacks not charged attacks. The best rotation is use burst switch off, do all your other team mates. When lamp runs out switch Dori do skill and attack 3-4 times, by then you should be 100% energy and off CD to rotate again. I think for dps build (haven’t tried but I can presume), TF build is probably best because it lowers CD for skill. I used to run both exiled and instructors set on her and while they work good, the benefits from Song of Days Past or deepwood are way better, but if you have these sets laying around w/ correct mainstats they work really good. I would say her best team core is Furina / kazuha / Dori because you double swirl and you can really slot any 3rd member to do good, I have been using Navia. Also if it’s like single target I just personally do double geo Navia furina Dori.
Don’t mean to bash your video or anything just giving my pov as a dori user! I think you’re right that at c6 she’s like an electric Noelle if built that dps route, but her main healer route is actually very undervalued as well and gets much better w/ c6.

I feel like a major thing people don't consider when they write off characters like Dehya and Dori/any of the communities "least useful" characters, is that they actually tend to shine ALOT better in Co-op. Like Dori is a full team healer who gives multiple strings of electro application during her burst and feeds the entire parties energy + can do all of that decently even when built for her own damage. If you play Kuki in co-op her healing is limited and her damage is lackluster at best outside of the pure EM hyperbloom and even with cons she's not offering much of anything for others, but in single player she's superior in every way. If we had more content where co-op play combat were a focus characters like her can shine more. Similar case with Dehya, she's mid at best when it's a single player trying to make benefits of her buffs or damage especially since off-field appliers aren't too good with her, but if a seperate player is dealing the damage with elements that both can benefit from, she's suddenly alot better and plays way more comfortably.
I genuinely think the only actually bad character in the game is candace, and that's mostly because she doesn't actually serve any true purpose well. Other characters people say are bad are simply outshined by more meta characters who do similar things, but never all the same things.

Even if a character is not meta, some characters do not deserve the hate they get here on youtube. I absolutely hate slander and ugly talking some characters... people forget those characters are still someone's favorite characters nevertheless. And as so many people admit, genshin can be played/finished/abyssed with whomever you want.
I've been a been a huge dori fan ever since I started playing. I actually like the fact that she is not an angel, or a pure, innocent child. She's a naughty gremlin, and I like the diversity. I think that her character is adorable. Thank you for fairly critiquing the character.
