  • Today we'll test our many different items on my new 2022 Polaris Ranger XP1000 Northstar crew Ultimate! We've been getting heavy rains all day today, so I decided to go ahead and get wet and test out many different things today on my new 2022 Polaris Northstar Ultimate, as well as some of my DIY GoPro camera mount and different camera angles. Today we'll brave the heavy rains and try out the Polaris Northstar Ultimate cab to see if it leaks in heavy rains, well try out the 4wd system as we drive through heavy rains and slick clay, we'll do some creek crossings in a deep creek, try out the 4wd system, engine braking, and much more. While I really did not want to get soaking wet, I thought this was a great opportunity to try out the Polaris Ranger Northstar Ultimate as well as test out my 3rd try on my DIY GoPro camera mount to get some very unique camera angles for the Polaris Ranger Northstar Ultimate trail ride! Thanks for joining me today and stay tuned for the next episode of this rain soaked ride to see if I damaged my passenger side door after slamming down on a big rock that was hidden in the overflowing creek, see if the Northstar cab leaked, or if the doors leaked from high waters, and much more. Thank you. Thanks for joining us today! And as always, if you enjoy our content please hit the like button, and share it for us we would greatly appreciate that! Thank so much for taking the time and getting soggy for us - Dual screen, wow you are getting fancy but it was great to see both perspectives. Really interested in the rock sliders

      Thanks, glad I made myself get out and do it! Yeah the video did not do that bottoming on the rock sound any justice. It was quite the 'whack!' Thanks

    That was a fun video! When you went through the creek and said oh that is deeper than I thought reminded me of the time deer hunting I drove through the Grand river in western S.D. With my new pickup! Anyway fun video! Thanks!

      Thanks, we appreciate it! Yeah it was a little tight and when I was backing on the flat rock, it was a steep drop off right behind me! I think I did look at the back up cam once on that one!

    That heavy rain was a good test for the Polaris! Looks like the new GoPro lens stayed nice and clear, no water droplets collecting or fogging up.

    We're currently setting slammed by winter storms Dudley and Eunice, luckily the rain hasn't been too bad but the 50-60mph winds in our area have been clearing out the deadwood.

    Great vlog! 2 questions, how tall are you, as for my fit inside? Where you happy with the tires, or would you consider directional. Love dreaming through you experiences. 💛

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! I am 6' 5" and I can still fit ok. Not sure on the tires I have not really ridden it too much yet. They seemed to do ok in the slick clay but probably not as good as the Maxxis tires on the other Ranger we have. It did slide around quite a bit. Keep on dreaming and moving the needle! Cheers

    Good stuff. I really like this series. Wished I’d bought a Northstar. Got a new Honda Pioneer just 6 months ago, but a climate controlled cab is hard to beat. Polaris is really uping their game such that there is no real competition. Sooner or later I’ll be in a NE Polaris new, I’ll find a way.

    • @kapperoutdoors

    That side mount is going to make it awfully easy to bash the poor camera on trees, isn't it?!!

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  2 роки тому +1

      Mostly in high range unless going really slow. The gopro stick is fiberglass and bounces really bad, but I am not getting beat up in the machine. Just looks like it because of that. The machine has great suspension. Thanks man
