Had to have my front carrier bearing replaced on my 2019 ranger crew xp 1000 at 300 miles give or take a few miles.stock machine with no mods. just easy driving around farm land. i think polaris should make the whole drive train stronger on these machines especially the drive shaft and carrier bearings. A machine that cost what this one does should last like a car or truck last doing what it’s designed to do in my opinion. With that said polaris did fix it under warranty and i still think these are good machines and i plan on keeping it for years but it still needs improvement for what it cost and what its made to do. Thank you for the honest real-world feedback. Lots of people go out and trash their machines and blame the manufacturer. You do a good job of laying out your case. Please keep us posted on how the repair holds up.

Based on our interview with Polaris engineers for the upcoming Ranger Crew High Lifter Edition test, While the High Lifter Edition has a reverse drive gear, the other Ranger Crew 1000 models still use a reverse drive chain. please don't give us a thumbs down we're just delivering the news:)
@@UTVonDemand Thank you very much for the response! I wish they would just transition to one shared transmission without a built in weakness...I own a ranger 900 crew, and that one design flaw right there seems like insanity...
@@soundmandave21 have you had any issues with reverse in your machine? Do you find yourself taking it easy in reverse? Now that they're doing it in the High Lifter Edition hopefully they will carry it over in the future. Tougher is almost always better in our opinion.
@@UTVonDemand I have not had issues with it personally, though knowing it is a weak link I baby mine. The reverse chain is probably the main reason I do not have the machine lifted further than 2 inches. Its a crew and has a very strong tendency to drag its belly... Here's to hoping they add the reverse gear to future lower spec models!
I understand what you mean but if your doing this type of work every single day you may as well buy a tractor. I understand what you mean though, it definitely will burn through belts doing that.

i use mine as my daily driver had the reverse chain go out and the shift lever break as well as the shift cable otherwise great machine.

I just read that they have for the 2019 highlifter edition. Can't find any info on the regular edition.
