They all need a parking brake! We test all kinds of machines on steep hills and on several occasions we've had to bump them from behind to take some of the pressure off the system and had to teach customers to park sideways on hills or be ready to winch yourself out of park. Some manufacturers tell you not to use park while trailering the machine, so why not a parking brake?
Great thorough review as always. The new seat bolsters look much better than the old flat uncomfortable ones. The more storage the better especially for overlanders. Personally I love the dual analog/digital cluster. The blue background is a bit difficult to see at a glance though. I think all side by sides should have a park gear, and park brake for the reasons you mentioned. Keep up the good work putting machines through the type of things people actually use them for.
Nice review, keep up the good work! I own a 700, 900 and a 1000 all have been great Utvs. I agree about the parking brake, why they did away with that I will never understand. My 700 has the hand park brake and it's great to have!
Hey Steve! Another great video as usual. Love your outdoor action hopefully I'll see you again on another riding video soon! I do love my Polaris Ranger Northstar! Thanks buddy!!
Agree 100 percent. Viking is a great platform and yamaha is leaving a lot of money on the table by not going ahead and giving us a 1000cc option in it. I’d own one immediately
Great video TK! Thanks for an informative entertaining and very complete look at this machine. It would be great if they let the buyer configure a longer bed.
Polaris by now should have addressed the shifting issue when putting in forward or reverse, you almost got to get out manually push the bike back-and-forth to have it engage without gears grinding.
I have the same doors on mine,I noticed your strap wasn't run through the clip properly. Mine stay tight and the door nets have no slack. Check the configuration of the strap through the buckle.
My brother in law has the crew ranger 1000xp and his brother has the crew 900 xp. There both of the same weight they raced and the 900xp smoked him? His ranger isn't even a year old the 1000xp. Is this normal they both have new belts etc?
This is a very honest evaluation of the pros and cons.
This channel is great. Good people, good videos and good reviews. What more can ya ask for!!!! Keep up the excellent work TK!!!
Much appreciated!

BTW loved the wave runner backing and launching!
yeah it wasn’t cheap but i love mine it’s loaded ac heat power windows blinkers mirrors road ready which i’m going to do soon
wow this vid is awesome! shows how much effort you put in, thanks
I appreciate that!
Yamaha really needs to up the power in the Viking to an 1000cc option. I feel my Viking 700 is underpowered. I am really impressed by this Ranger.
Would be nice if Yamaha would make a nicer Viking line up because the Polaris is currently nicer it’s just not as reliable as a yamaha.

Atleast this one’s tailgate works my dads 2023 came in with the tailgate messed up. And rust flakes in the floor for 38k crew northstar.

This guy is great! 😂 Beautiful marketing dude 🤙🏼

I go into neutral first … quick a quick rev… wait for idle …then select the gear …. I find this helps
Want one now
Great video, fun and informative content! Definitely dropping a like and a sub

too expensive for what it is, but i've always had my eye on the Ranger.
💯💯💯
I help build these; thanks for the review!
Can you give a little more info vs the mule pro (2023 and 2024)
Just put a block under the wheel when parking on an incline otherwise its rough to shift out of park
Nice Appalachian setting.
With a steel cargo bed, it can have a spray in bedliner like a pickup. JD Gator offers this from the factory.

love the video
The mules are great built tough, reliable but they're boring, that's why I have a Ranger.
You are right. Rangers are exciting, you never know when you will be broke down and stranded.🤣🤣🤣
I thought the xp 1000 would be a wee bit more faster than 58
Probably gearing limited…
The shifter and transmission scares me every day. Especially when it just spins and spins
Nice. I don't get why someone would wear a helmet driving one of these. Maybe I am old school.
Noticed he almost rolled it.....that's why...one tire came up in the air in a turn
I think a Can Am Defender HD10 Xt is a better machine and value.
