Played the Pajama Sam games as a kid, and at the age of 32 I bought and beat them all. So nostalgic and so awesome. Feel bad for anyone who didn’t get to grow up with HE games.
Due to some of my chronic health issues I was born with, the hospital was practically a second home to me. After finishing my homework, I would head off to the playroom to either grab a puzzle or tub of activity dough (not play-doh) to take back to my room. One day, I went to the computer and discovered this game. I'm sure I only played it a couple of times for thirty minutes but it felt like I really played it for days. I remember waking up early and rushing to the playroom before any other kids got there so I could squeeze in some game-time before I had to give up the computer to a fellow patient. Ironically, I was usually hospitalized for bowel issues. Certain foods used to get stuck in my intestines and had to be surgically removed. The culprits were usually popcorn, corn, nuts, or raw vegetables such as broccoli or celery. Still, this video brought back wonderful memories... Now that I'm an adult, the doctors have fixed my intestines and I can handle pretty much anything. However, my kidney failed and I've started dialysis. If it's not one thing, it's another... At least my intestines won't ever bother me again while my oil gets changed every other day as I wait for a kidney transplant someday. Thanks for posting this video. It's wonderful.
I never noticed how imaginative if not creepy the food/organs combo of the world is as a kid. These games hold up so well I love going back to appreciate the environments.
It feels so surreal to watch. I haven’t played or seen this game since I was probably 8 or 9, but I remember every single screen and every single scene.
I’m 18 and I don’t find out about this game until a few months ago before then I had never herd of this! Now I feel like I had missed out on something!😂🤣
Forever my favorite Humongous Entertainment game. It always made me hungry. I just wanted to jump through the screen and explore with Sam. And by explore I mean explore/eat all the atmosphere.
Man these Pajama Sam games were awesome. Cant believe I was able to figure everything out at such a young age though. They did a good job at making the in-game world feel so big and extensive.
What I find interesting about this game is that normally in most medias (especially TV shows) kids are depicted as hating broccoli. However Sam not only seems to like broccoli, it's hinted that he now has one as a love interest. This actually is close to the truth, as there are actually kids out there who like certain foods that other kids hate (like broccoli). I'd also find this cool, except I don't like broccoli. I do really like Florette though, she's ironically sweet for a vegetable. :)
Well yeah, like corn and carrots, but then there's spinach, asparagus, Brussel sprouts, kale...yech. The only 'non sweet' vegetable I actually like are artichokes...and I guess lettuce, if it counts, but I only really like it in sandwiches since it gives them a nice crunch.
Anytime I see or hear the word relish I think about the jar of relish that pops out of the traffic light and says “Im relish”, in the first Pajama Sam game (There’s No Need to Hide When It’s Dark Outside)
Played this as a kid. Was the only Pajama Sam I played. Didn’t even know there was a trilogy til recently. Never finished it either. So to fast forward 20+ years, n c it b completed, was very satisfying to watch. 🤣💯
Anyone notice the blocked arterty pun? The fries were blocking the path to the heart is like having a stroke, then the egg says different strokes for different folks when talking about the fry toppings.
They don't make games like this nowadays, I loved these games when I was younger, and still think they're great. And now this game is coming to switch too, I'm excited!
I was thinking about living cookies being in a packaged box from the store, and I came up with a theory: The Fats and Sweets had already heard of Sam due to his previous adventures, and since he's a kid they assumed that he'd automatically join their cause. So they assigned some cookies to sneak into his dimension and bring him to theirs. The cookies, when no one was looking, took the non-living cookies out of one of the Chok Amok boxes and hid them (maybe they packed them into something else and hid them in a cabinet), and then hopped into the now-empty box and used a sticky substance to re-seal the box. They then waited for Sam to get to the box and open it, and then as we saw they made a break for it purposely leaving crumbs behind so that Sam could follow them towards the portal to their dimension. They made sure to time all this so that Sam would enter their dimension during one of their parties, to help him warm up to them. Which is why they overreacted when Sam said that he didn't want to spoil his dinner, they were hurt and disappointed that he wasn't the stereotypical vegetable-hating kid they thought he'd be and were afraid that Sam would help the healthy foods win the conflict. Which could also be why that chocolate bar said that Sam's trial was next month, maybe what they were actually planning was to hold him prisoner until they defeated the healthy foods and thought it would take a month or less to win.

Oh my god my brain is ON FIRE with nostalgia right now! Like, how do I remember every line and sound effect?! The beauty and power of good childhood video games 😍
It’s been probably… WELL over a decade since I’ve played, let alone THOUGHT, about this game and all the details about it. But the moment I saw some characters/moments the memories suddenly flood back and I remember it clear as day.
I was watching some new trailers for new games coming out this year, saw a game with this art style and I was thinking super hard as to why it seemed so familiar. I remembered the COOKIES!!! SO I searched Pajama Cookie and here I am. Loved this game as a kid
I didn't catch that lol I just recognize the voice as the guy who played the family doctor on The Munsters 😂😂 Edit: fun fact, the same guy did do the voice for Templeton the rat 😂

I recall this disk being there along like blues clues and such and the way i today still just remember the sound effects bc it was so satisfying, the cookie crunching and the way Sam walks. Man nostalgia, it all just reminds me of sitting at the family computer playing this.
I’m Canadian and used to play this game over and over as a kid, I remember every detail. Ever since the new Canada Food Guide was released about 2 weeks ago, I had to come back and see this. I especially remember at the end when Florette says “Are you going to stick around and help us make plans for the future?” Well, I guess they finally stopped fighting and worked together to create something new after all! Took them long enough. LOL!
I just realized that one of the games on the bean foreman's computer is Putt-Putt's Balloon-O-Rama! Take a good look at the screen when that purple shape starts popping those circles.

If my future kids ever want to collect box tops or anything similar, I'll just buy the amount of boxes they need, let them rip the tops off, and then package the food in a reusable container. That way my kids won't make themselves sick trying to eat all that food in a short amount of time. Of course this depends on whether 'collecting box tops for a prize' will exist in the future or not. Don't know why it doesn't seem to be that common anymore (not counting Box Tops for Education, since I'm referring to the ones that win you toys and such).

I remember this game. I played it when I was 5-6 year old. I'm turning 14 this year so this brings back so much memories. This was the 1st Pyjama Sam game I ever played. I beaten all of the 4 games and I want to play this again. So much nostalgia. 😄
@thanomyloans2585 sam pretty much ends racism in a food world
If my future kids ever want to collect box tops or anything similar, I'll just buy the amount of boxes they need, let them rip the tops off, and then package the food in a reusable container. That way my kids won't make themselves sick trying to eat all that food in a short amount of time.
Of course this depends on whether 'collecting box tops for a prize' will exist in the future or not. Don't know why it doesn't seem to be that common anymore (not counting Box Tops for Education, since I'm referring to the ones that win you toys and such).
how do I still remember this game so well after so many years
