Here's a walkthrough of Pajama Sam 2. Normally it is impossible to have the Snowflake Inspector hiding while getting all the other paths I got, but thanks to Debug Mode, I was able to do it. I know I did a ton of stalling, but I want to show as much as possible in a single walkthrough. Sadly, in order to do so for this game, I had to balloon the length really high up. Of course, it didn't help I spent thirteen minutes on the "Sorry"-styled board game.
This is my all-time favorite Humongous game. It was one of the first HE games I ever played, at the age of three (It was brand-new at the time, so I remember seeing the Putt-Putt Enters the Race preview on here before that game was released). I liked the environment of this game very much, I liked the characters, it had a great sense of humor, and I liked being able to set the paths to your liking. It also has an awesome soundtrack, composed by Julian Soule, AKA Jeremy Soule's brother. He seems to have just as much talent as Jeremy. The difficulty was also well-balanced, and I liked the minigames.
Fun fact: I am uploading this just as a storm is about to come through where I live. - Ігри
Pajama sam makes me wanna go back in time when i would just click on a bunch of stuff. It used to take me hours to beat this game
Oh and thunder was a stoner
same here
saamee
Weeks lol
Same omg loved this when I was a kid
I love how there's so many little details programmed into the game.
Goofy Goober that’s why it was so good
The complaints department bit is genius.
how does a CUP get carpal tunnel?
The same way a cup talks and operates a phone!
All of us relates
gotta love their customer service
"How about weather where the air gets thick so you can swim in it."
"You've obviously never been to Los Angeles."
He's only slightly exaggerating.
That is so true.
I miss being little so much. I would play this game over and over.
SAME HERE
Big Mike it's on steam right now for $2
Owen Cole will it run on windows 7?
marter1234 gaming I'm not sure but I assume so.
Owen Cole i guess i will pirate it
I always wondered why there are wooden boards and a chair until a few years ago when I realised that the room with the chairs and boards are referring to the business world: The board of directors and the chairman of the board
That. Blew. My. Mind.
The chairman looks like a purple chair version of a serious less dimwitted Homer Jay Simpson!!
Literal chairman of the board and board of directors
I just realized that the stapler is afraid of Mr. Somebody who is the staple puller 🤣 so many jokes in this game I never got as a kid.
....HOLY SCHEIßE-
"Pajama Sam" and "Putt putt saves the zoo" we're my childhood.
Mine too along with Freddi Fish. Sadly I never got to play any Spy Fox
@@SketchLove don't forget around the world in 80 days
but spy fox was the second best one behind PJSam!
I had a whole bunch of these games in my house when i was little kid, had no idea where they came from but was happy to play them. The nostalgia is too real...
Same man. Didn’t even know others existed until I got more for my birthday.
@@WilliamBruhhh Thank you for the reply dude. Now I can relive this nostalgia trip 5 years later :)
@@nines451 You’re so very welcome. Glad to see you still have good taste
@@nines451relive it again
Who built Sam's house anyway? He's got a huge dark forest in his closet, a weather factory in his attic and a body-themed island filled with living food in his pantry!
I think it's part TARDIS.
This game is represented from Sam's perspective.
He's just a kid, so his imagination runs WILD =D
Which would explain why his attic is a weather station for the whole planet =)
Crippled Gamer Pajama Sam's imagination is rather cute :) his voice too
Blossom44100 Me too but it's weird that he isn't wearing mask like he used in the very first game :/
***** He doesn't have his P.B.G.C.U. (lunch box) either.
>there's one place that is actually sunny
>'unfortunately that's Seattle.'
as someone from Seattle that has to be my favorite joke out of all of these games
It might make you happy to know then that Humongous was headquartered near none other than Seattle! It's actually no coincidence that they make quite a few Seattle jokes in these games; I think Spy Fox 2 also makes one ("...leaving a dark rain cloud over the fair for the next several months! Much like Seattle!"). I believe they were in Woodinville, actually.
There are some sunny days in Seattle I met someone who used to live there and they do have sunny days but its' usually rare.
@@HumongousSoundtracksanother Seattle reference they were gonna have for the third game was having the Sweet Troops dressed in police gear as a reference to the Seattle SWA Protests a few months before the game’s release.
The NOSTALGIA is real!
the nostalgia is unimaginably high for this game oh my gosh.
There's a theory that Sam's mom is also a dimension traveler who already knew Dark Ness, Thunder, and Lightning...which could explain Thunder and Lightning's reaction to Sam showing up. Instead of being upset with him for entering an employee's only area of the factory, they were happy and nice to Sam. Well, apart from Lightning freaking out, but it's obvious that she's high-strung anyway.
So maybe Sam's mom called ahead to let them know that Sam has a fear of thunder and lightning and may show up to try to end it, so she asked them to instead allow him inside and give him a tour of the factory to help him get over his fear. But then he tripped and...well, basically the rest of the game happened.
I... somehow kinda like this idea. A kid's imagination probably couldn't come up with things like this, especially if they're afraid
If she's an interdimensional traveler, how could she let everyone on the Island of Moptop know about Sam's arrival? all she said in the game was "Sam, It's almost time for dinner."
It is strange to watch this played flawlessly (I know it’s a walkthrough so, obviously), but as a kid beating this game took hours, sometimes days. Going back and forth between places and getting stuck constantly. It just sorta gave the game that extra spark. It’s hard to see someone play it without making any mistakes lol 😂
it also doesnt help that when this came out the internet was nowhere near reliable as it is now
@@sonicfreak04this game was run on a disc not internet. Unless you mean cheating by watching someone walk through it first
They're saying there were no ways to get help for this game.
Okay, let’s face it... these never get old
The style, that atmosphere the world design. It's really sad to think that kids' games like this aren't made anymore today. Offers so much creativity to youngsters as opposed to games like Call of Duty :/
Call of Duty is M for Mature. It isn't made for kids.
@@damon2636 I think he's reffering that kids back then play violence games that meant for adult instead of this.
@@damon2636pajamas sam🦸🏾♂️
i agree, where’s the actual good stuff like golden age spongebob and homestar runner and babagaboosh sam
@@damon2636woooooosh!
The sax music in this actually kinda made me want to start playing... I'm now a saxophone major in college....
I remember renting this game from the LIBRARY when I was like, 6 and just fooling around. This game blew my mind, even though I'm sure I never finished no matter how hard I tried. :P
I remember I looked up cheat codes on how to beat it, because I got tired of not being able to figure it out. Ah, cheatcc.com
If you still haven't beaten it, I recommend setting a few hours of recreation time aside to finish it at least once. But, every playthrough is different, as there are 3-5 different endings
@@regionracecraft seriously? I might, the games are all on Steam now I think
@@PSiMetronome yes indeed! Depending on which ending you get (randomly chosen when you start the game), some of the objectives change as well.
19:20 I just have a vivid memory of this place and now it’s so nostalgic
"Pajama Man, you suc-" (vacuum sound)
"Exactly!"
I just got that pun! XD
Dang, I never could hear that line, thanks for clarifying lol
Holy crap, I love your account. Thanks for these walkthroughs, they bring back all the nostalgia from my childhood. So many things I never caught when I was a kid. I still have all the Pajama Sam games as well as the Putt-Putt and Spy Fox games. I still wonder what happened to my Freddi Fish games though...
Me too
Amia D Freddie Fish was the worst of the four anyway
tehawsumninja ah, Pajama Sam and putt-putt, how I loved these games even though I only had around one version of each and another one where you played games with them. I played them to death
"uh oh, I think it ate the card."
Really, Sam? You just watched it.
The
Amanda Branigan ?_?
21:03 I love how sunlight in Seattle is considered freak weather
The board meeting tho. A joke that def went over my head as a kid. XD
Funny bit of foreshadowing: Sheila from the Complaints Department at one point complains about a snack getting stuck in the vending machine. The other path has the exact same thing happen to the Y pipe! XD
Those quizes, I swear they had me rage as a kid when they were too hard.
Seriously how the fuck was I supposed to know what the average number of taken home pens was at LIKE 4 years OLD???
I REMEMBER I PLAYED THIS GAME LIKE EVERYDAY LIKE IT WAS MY JOB WHEN I WAS LIKE 6 OMG
I played it almost everyday too!
I never had this one, but the one about the darkness was like my favorite game!! Also, absolutely loved PuttPutt and Freddie the fish
I remember playing the demo version of this game on my HP Pavilion 710 CTO PC back in 2002.
Me too
For me, i had this game but only had the demo for You Are What You Eat
every time i hear elevator music, i low-key think of this game.
"Hello I'd like to make an appointment to see someone."
"Let me check his calendar...yes Mr. Someone is available to see you right away."
Rimshot.
This game helped me get over thunder storms as a kid
Same here 😂 yet another reason why I love these games
My favorite phone conversations:
"I'd like to make an appointment to see someone."
"Certainly, let me just check his calendar. Yes Mr. Someone is available immediately, I'll pencil you in."
I'll NEVER get tired of that! XD
"How about weather where the air gets thick so you can swim in it."
"You've obviously never been to Los Angeles."
As someone who lives in Los Angeles, I can confirm that they're only slightly exaggerating the air quality.
It was also good of the people of Steam to get these games so that us as adults can download them now if we have children to share our childhood games with them knowing that they're wholesome and educational. :)
That's what I did once they were on sale on Steam
The fact that they drop so many easter eggs from the 3rd game into this one is great! I also love the amount of puns I never got as a kid.
After playing the Pajama Sam games for the first time at 19 years old (don't judge!) I wish deeply that I had grown up with these games. They're high quality, innocent, funny, and Sam is such a cute kid. The reason I didn't? The Pajama Sam games weren't dubbed or released where I live (the only Humongous Entertainment that did was Freddi Fish and the Missing Kelp Seeds, which I grew up with), so it was an impossible cause, sadly.
I actually thought these games were fun. Yeah, I'm an adult, but I will always be a child at heart.
Same here. I'm enjoying my life as an adult right now, but I also enjoy and relive the stuff that I went through as a kid.
+Amelia Holstein Where were you that it wasn't dubbed?
XandWacky Sweden. Born and raised here.
Amelia Holstein On the playground is where you spent most of your days (wrong thing, I know :P)?
XandWacky Huh? What?
16:55 I thought Sam got electrocuted.
"Welp, that's the end."
What's really screwed up is this is a kid's imagination.
This game was my early childhood, and probably the first time I fell in love with video games. I would plead with my mom every day for time on her Compaq to play this masterpiece. Will always hold a special place in my heart.
46:07 His laugh is so cute!
O man it is like i played it yesterday ... nostalgia
I love how they turn the weather into a white collar/factory business in this game. Desk chair secretary, microscope suggestions worker (and probably weather chemist), coffee mug complaints department worker, stapler supply room worker, staple remover personnel manager, desk chair secretary, comfy chair chairman of the board, & wooden board board members. Both cool and hilarious! XD
The canned sun, bottled rain, etc also remind me of those weather pills from the Looney Tunes cartoons. XD
Actually it's supposed to be in the morning, it's just dark because it's stormy. In fact, if you have the dust devil path, Sam notes that it "looks like the one I saw on the Pajama Man show this morning."
My childhood in one video
I swear, re-discovering pajama sam has not only reminded me how much fun I had playing it, but also has made me realize how creative and hilarious it is (several jokes that I see today I am impressed by and just lol at).
"You look especially good today"
"Oh...thank you... Have we met before?"
"Don't mind them. They're complimentary nuts."
That joke is almost too clever to be stuck in a kid's adventure game
One of the first games I ever played, if not the first. My name is Sam and I was terrified of thunder and lighting. I'm soon to be 30 and I haven't played or seen this game in probably 24 or 25 years, yet I still have deep foggy recollection of the whole thing. Absolutely love that this video is on UA-cam and I found it. ❤❤❤
Here’s a tragic story.... As a child, I only experienced the 4th Pajama Sam. Wasn’t until years later I discovered the first 3, and realized how much better they are.
I used to get stuck a lot. xD
24:42 that one grumpy woman-
15:28 That "You win!" sounded like Ash!
It did!
Pajama Sam would be a great cartoon TV series using this type on animation engine! CGI is so cheesy now and day's.
***** No.
***** Pajama Sam isn't made by Japanese people and therefore doesn't use Japanese animation. So no.
If they ever did, I wish they’d hire me for characters. I’d never get bored of drawing Sam and his adorable friends. But I doubt they’d do that now...
Only just now did I understand what the "Earthquaker" was...and ironically I'm eating Quaker oats as I type this.
My childhood
The game is just clicking but as a kid you really thought you were doing something because the experience was so overwhelmingly immersive. Thank you for creating these games
2:21 That game is similar to the board game "Sorry!" I played that game a lot with my family. It's one of my favorites.
A lot of us like to think the fourth one didn't count.
Humongous Fan Soundtracks why so?
Copa Lopa the fourth one was before humongous went under but was in the control of a different company. The game was bad. They turned it into another generic ABC, 123 kids game with no creativity whatsoever. They completely ignored everything that made the originals successful.
The 4th one is the worst game in the series
It's other, and broken a bit, but not so bad, considering story and graphic. It's just..other. Maybe unusual in comparison with previous.
The fourth one doesn't exist in the same way the Matrix sequels don't exist.
When I was little, this game made it much easier to get lost in what you were supposed to do if you missed the point of any dialogue.
This was the best one.
What about no need to hide when it's dark outside?
I'm quite a fan of third one myself. It was my first one after all. And the food concept always makes me hungry.
IMHO, this game and Putt-Putt Travels Through Time were the best Humongous Entertainment games. I loved a lot of the other games, don’t get me wrong. But the replay value for these two games was a level above the rest. You could play this and Travels Through Time 5-6 times and still feel like you’re playing a completely different game. This was HE in its prime, for sure.
Man, this game defined my childhood. I honestly believe this is where my love of "jazz like music" came from.
I like That pajama Sam just decides he's going to defeat nature. He already tried to challenge the absence of light in the last game, now he only grows in hubris and power
The Y pipe and his questions that begin with “why” was kind of clever lol
Watching this hit my heart right in the feels
I used to be _obsessed_ with this game, along with the 3rd one
I never quite got to finish this game specifically (disk was damaged and became incompatible after I bought it) but this game actually got me over my fear of thunder when I was 6 😂 I still thoroughly enjoy these games more than 10 years later
@thano myloans my entire life lmao, parents probably had it way longer
These games are definitely worth playing as an adult, so much of the humor was lost on me as a kid.
21:53
Sam: Hey, is that a doughnut?
Thunder: Yes, it’s a doughnut. (Sam is about to eat the doughnut) No, you can’t have it. (Sam puts the doughnut back)
this game was hard when i was like 7. I didn't know what i was doing at all.
i just liked to run around.
Lol me too, I especially liked playing with the telephone, the farming thing, and making Sam run through the ice thing, idk why but I thought that was funny as _hail_ (I’m so sorry)
nice starfish background!!
WahBam123 Haha, thank you! We took that picture on a trip to the Bahamas quite a few years back.
i remember as a kid i'd repeatedly play this game to the point where i could finish the game extremely fast. god i miss that it was so fun
Was trying to remember this game I was having flashbacks of it...finally nostalgia fullfilled
What an incredibly nostalgic audio visual experience
So many memories from this game back when I was a kid
"THAT'S MY PURSE I DON'T KNOW YOU"
This was my favorite as a kid
My siblings’ favorite thing to do was try to use the crowbar on the phone guy, cause they found him annoying. Then Sam would say “That wouldn’t be very nice...”
Your sibling: hits something with a crowbar in real life
A familiar voice in the background: That wasn’t very nice...
This game and the rest of the series are on Steam. My son is starting to get into it now. Better than a lot of what's around these days.
20:14 "I do enjoy a good storm" says with the most highest face i ever saw..
Man the suggestion and complaint department. Andrew is also the best stapler ever.
I feel so bad, I thought Thunder was a man when I was little.
For some reason I never noticed Sam straight up saying,"Never fear ma'am".
It's like when I found out Turk from Tarzan is a girl too.
I used to think Thunder was male, too. Turns out she was even voiced by a female African American with a pretty deep voice.
I literally just realized this three days ago-
This game was ahead of its time.
i ALWAYS thought lightning and thunder were girlfriends even when i was like 7 playing this for the first time. LOVE NEVER DIES!
This game, actually this series as a whole, was ahead of its time. Such a hidden 💎. 🤲🏼🌹🤲🏼
Thunder and lightning sound married which i wouldnt have expected from a game from the early 2000's lol
What will hank say "Dammit bobby I told you not to touch things"
wingnut can see and speak underwater you know
20:37 Somewhere, an unfortunate pedestrian's gonna have a chunk of metal fall on his head.
thanks for uplauding these, im really happy to be able to see these guys running across my screen again after all these years
This game makes me so nostalgic, it literally taught me my etiquette and table manners haha!
Few things that you don't know that you don't know that these voice actor DID voice from other games:
Mike Sharpio (Guy who voiced Barney Calhoun and Gman from Half Life): Stapler
David Scully (Guy who voiced Sgt. Johnson from Halo): Carrot
Pamela Fionna Adlon (Woman who voiced Bobby Hill from King of the Hill): Pajama Sam
Rick May (Man who who voiced Soldier from Team Fortress 2): Wingnut
This game was BEFORE Half Life, and they both released from 1998.
im 24 years old and somtimes i watch this when i go to sleep am i wierd?
No, I'm almost 18 and am seriously looking to buy this game to play again. This was my childhood.
Never occurred to me that Pajama Sam has the same voice actress as Bobby Hill. Lol now I cannot NOT picture that
I didn’t know Sam’s voice was an actress until two days ago 😂 and I’ve been playing this game for my whole life
i like how thunder just looks sams puffy haired mom, the VA has a soothing motherly voice
Wow, this game rocks, and I played this in daycare.
Man, the game was just taunting you after 14:41 with all those red spaces the NPC was getting. I would have been all
"Alright. One more red and the game is mine."
*You can't move.*
"Okay, so he got a red space. Hope I get one n- crap."
*You can't move.*
"Yellow. Man... Maybe he'll- wait, he got another red. Wonderful."
*You can't move.*
"Alright, this time I'll- hahaha, pissin' me off, dude."
*You can't move.*
"I'M GONNA CUT OFF ALL YOUR THUMBS."
...yeeeeeeeah, I probably shouldn't be playing Sorry anytime soon.
Probably not even now, 6 years later...
Yeah, interestingly that wasn't a coincidence -- Humongous's HQ was located in Woodinville, which I hear was only a few minutes away from Seattle.
2:19
This game is just like Sorry! And Partcheesy
What I want to know is why the weather machine has a button whose only function appears to be "immediately destroy weather machine"
This game is what made me scared of thunder and lightning
This was the best game! I wish I still had it to play 😢
This is what I had played during my childhood and every single time that Marshall hears thunder and lightning, he hides under a blanket and sometimes under my sheets. He has got to remember that thunder and lightning aren’t so frightening just like Pajama Sam.
"Pajama Man, you su--!"
"Exactly!"
I finally get that joke.
Idek how young I was when I played this but the nostalgia is real!
I always get surprised of how difficult it still is for me to figure out Pajama Sam games!(I have all of them)I'm 14 and I still get stumped on a game for ages 3-8. That's good game design right there.
have u been able to complete them?
