For some reason I loved the Chorus and 2nd verse ^^ absolutely loved the background syrens at 2:20 and after, like the ones that do the note slide. I suppose it's a synth. Wish I could produce more music like that, but the lack of skills makes it hard for me and I start procrastinating.
> but the lack of skills makes it hard for me and I start procrastinating I feel that but my co-producer/other half of our music duo/partner says the trick is just to show up every day and have a crack. doesn't matter if some days you don't get anything good or useful achieved, the point is just to keep plugging away and you will level up over time. I used to have no idea how to do any of it and was "only" the singer/lyricist, now I have my own solo project :) My skills are still very basic but the point is you can get there, just keep trying. Dude this was a an amazing walk through on how to produce metal core man. I been doing music my whole life writing ideas and keeping sketches of lyrics for years, watching your videos helps me bring my own projects to life not only that but breathe life into them with picking up on some of your chops and tricks and techniques. the reverb trick on the clap. gold. the layering process with your instrumentation is clean. I really like your sound design choices with eq during your recording and producing phase. would you say some of these mix choices you're making on the cuff are final choices ? when I'm layering guitars over chords I find myself playing roots a lot do you ever do chord tone drones or harmony octaves instead of the typical root stuff.
@@GeneoVanEngers Thanks a lot. 🤘🏻 Yes I love committing and not looking back. @ dude that’s sick I honestly have lacked for years in my drum writing abilities and programming however I’m starting to catch up to speed with it finally. I’d say how to dive in on insight with coming up with fills transitions between sections and also what your thought process is when deciding a groove over another groove. Maybe deep dive on humanization and velocity possibly more on accenting and include some song writing to. Like. Why you choose a key over one and thought process going from one chord progression into another like into a bridge or verse. I think your chorus prog on this was a 1565. I think what interest people like me is why did you go that route or if you jump to a 6213 or something on bridge. I may be over analyzing but I think the more details you can include from the origin of something how it’s made from scratch that’ll get people interested.
