Karolina's coffee at Phuc Long is cold because she ordered "Cafe Đen Đá" which translates to "Coffee black ice". That's why you didn't get the option for cold or hot because the drink has ice in it. Thanks for sharing your travel with us. Amazing to see people get an opportunity to experience my hometown. I grew up on Hàng Đậu (soy beans/tofu) market. Hàng Than (coal market) has really good bún chả (obviously lol). The dessert you like with the giant floating ball is chè trôi nước which means Dessert drifting in water to describe the glutinous rice balls filled with mung beans floating in a light ginger syrup. It's my most favourite of Viet desserts. We used to only get it during the holidays because the country was very poor. Now you can get it year round.
The coffee situation makes so much sense now ☕️ All the foods you’ve just described we love so much! Vietnam is the very first country we literally are excited for every meal 😛
you are walking in the Old quarter, that's why it's so narrow. Enjoy your trip to Hanoi.
It's call Tricycle or Pedicab.
the bowl that look like mochi is called "Bánh Trôi Nước" or so called floating cake , the cake filling is often made from mung bean
It is my favourite type of Che 🥣😋
@@JayeshChhayamasih enakan makan Indonesia 🇮🇩😋🇮🇩😋😋🇮🇩🇮🇩😋🇮🇩🇮🇩
@@JayeshChhaya It's my favorite, too! Especially for colder winter months. I don't know why it's not as popular with Westerners because I've always loved it growing up.
This is so interesting & wholesome Jay & Karolina :) Loved it & I look forward to seeing you do more delivery videos in 2024 Jay; you were doing great & I and many others want to see you deliver food! Much love from London! ❤
love karolinas vlogging, would love to see her do it more!!!
More to come! Will try my best 🥰 [Karolina]
I'm Vietnamese, I'm happy to see your experience here,❤
love the vlogs
Hello!! I am Vietnamese!!
Wishing you both a happy trip and many interesting experiences in Hanoi, Vietnam!!
There are 17 days left for our country to celebrate Lunar New Year. On this day we have an extended Tet holiday. Most restaurants and eateries will be closed. If you two have a schedule in Vietnam, please prepare in advance a place to rest and eat during those days!! Wishing you both peace and good luck!!
Thank you so much 😍
Thank you very much for sharing this video with us ❤❤❤
Our pleasure 😊
Ha Noi is a great city. It’s unique and has a lot of characters whereas other SE Asian cities like Manila, Bangkok , KL try too hard to look and feel Western.
We loved the vibe! It's so unique 🤩
Why not

Cześć Karolina, też jestem z Polski :) Oglądamy vloga z żoną i bum tu rodaczka :D Pozdrowienia dla Was :) My odpuszczamy sobie Hanoi i wracamy do Saigonu...
There are more than 36 streets in ancient Hanoi. 36 streets refers to the 36 streets start with the name "Hang" (guild/trade). However when they did the math Hanoi old quarter had more than 36 streets start with the name "Hang" before 1945 ...the explanation was 36 is a special number used a lot in ancient China and Vietnam for many elements, therefore in written text in the ancient time they just used 36 streets to mean abundance, developed, lots of trades and merchants etc ....
This is so interesting! Thank you for sharing! 🙏
Going to there next month, so nice i love this city
So nice! We love Hanoi 😍
The reason why your black coffee has ice is because you ordered coffee with ice - ca phe den da (literally translated coffee black ice...da means ice). I love how that guy just made your food for you because he knows you're a foreigner and likely don't know how to cook it. LOL! Usually, if you see a bowl with salt, black pepper, and lime, it's a sauce for your protein. You're to squeeze the lime onto the salt and pepper and stir it up and use it as a dip. If you enjoy that meal, go look for the turmeric and dill fish famous in Hanoi. Love that retailer that sold you the pullover.
This makes so much sense now! Thank you for all the insights! 😍
@@JayeshChhaya This is why I recommend a food tour to foreigners. Many foreigners eat the food wrong because they don't know how the sauces are to be mixed or which sauce should be eaten with what or how to wrap certain foods, etc. Hanoi has amazing food tour guides, too.
Beer Saigon is actually comes from Thailand and owned by Thai owners. Beer Hanoi is authentically Viet and we are proud of the taste of it. It won so many Asia Brew Awards.
Oh, wow! We had no idea 🤯
You Wrong, Saigon beer company was bought 35% of the shares by a Thai billionaire in 2017, but the origin dates back 142 years ago from French colonialists
@@nakinp8525 Just had a look. It actually founded by French colonist. Thank you.

Thank you so much! We really enjoyed the C.O.C coffee 😍☕️
12:35. He’s from India. She’s from Holand. Case closed !!
I’m from the UK and Karolina is from Poland 😊
quey is noodle it's called you tiao haha
No, it isn't. You tiao is the Chinese name for it. Banh quay is the Vietnamese name for it and quay is the shortened version of the name.
Wish I could get the egg coffee but I have an allergy so I’ll have to just imagine how it tastes. Haha.
Oh... I understand! But there's plenty of other alternatives here in Vietnam! My favourite are coconut coffee and salted cream coffee 😍
Cà phê trứng thơm ngon và béo uống một lần lại muốn uống lần hai
57:47 desserts - chè super delicious
❤😂😂😂😂
Việt Nam is the best chè in the world
We have 100-200 chè
You lucky to eat all chè
You lives beautiful & happy
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We absolutely love to try different types of Che! It's always a surprise for us what we get haha 😂🥣
That's true 👍 While filming I tend to forget asking first for the price but need to get better in it!
Cái áo bạn nên thương lượng còn 250k
Great to know haha but I think after barging the price wasn't too bad either!
Mình nghĩ 250k họ ko bán đâu 😂
Frankly say, Hanoi looks dated behind other SEA’s cities.
It has more the laid-back atmosphere and still sticks to the small town kind of architecture. We quite liked not having big roads and skyscrapers around the Old Quarter 😊
He is in the Old Quarter that's why it looks old. That's part of Hanoi's charm because it allows you to connect with the past. There are modern areas as you move away from the Old Quarter.
And that's why Westerners love it. Hanoi doesn't try to be Western like other SEA cities. It keeps it roots, traditions, culture. if you're a Westerner traveling around on vacation, that's what you want to see. Not the same ol' stuff you can see in your own home country. Those whom aren't Westerners don't get the appeal as they only think modern is best, which is sad.
you eating quẩy wrong way, it should be dip into the soup
That’s what I did next time we ate it! It’s amazing how watching locals always helps 😂👍
yes, i always dip it down to the botton of the bow until it turn to a soft form and that a good time to eat. But Quẩy have 2 type tho .Type 1 is very chewy which is in the video and second is very hard and crunchy which I really hate it.
We only eat at places we know what’s being served haha
Too different Thailand
Yes, it's very different!
