Many Indonesian people cannot speak English, one of the reasons is that it is not our first language or our second language like in Malaysia and also maybe not our third language. Indonesia is ranked first as a country with people who can speak trilinguals or more. Our first language is our mother tongue or local languages such as Javanese, Sundanese, Balinese, etc. We are just learning Bahasa Indonesia and English at school which makes Bahasa Indonesia our 2nd language and English our 3rd language. But if we have parents who come from 2 different regions or ethnicities then it is possible that the local language will become our 1st and 2nd language, not to mention what if our grandparents came from other areas then we would speak more languages. Indonesia has more than 17,000 islands, more than 300 ethnicities and 730 languages, which makes Indonesia the 2nd country with the most languages. Bahasa Indonesia is referred to as the unified language or language formed so that all ethnic groups in Indonesia can communicate with each other, maybe Javanese is the largest language in Indonesia (the biggest unofficial language in the world) but if it is used as the national language it will be unfair to other ethnic groups. Bahasa Indonesia is a refinement and simplification of Malay, so it looks similar. To note, the Malay language does not belong to the state of Malaysia but belongs to the Malay tribe which is spread in many places in Southeast Asia. In conclusion too many languages to learn, my head wants to explode🤯🤯🤯
FYI: If you go to Madagascar 🇲🇬 there are many cultures that are similar to Indonesia, according to history many Indonesian sailors come, stay, and live there. In Suriname 🇸🇷 there are many Indonesians, especially those who are Javanese and there they still speak Javanese and still apply the culture, they are there because the Dutch took them to be employed as workers with the lure of being given a large salary but it turns out that they were cheated, some of the Surinamese still have relationships with their families in Indonesia and some of them could not find their relatives. Then if you go to the Netherland, you will find many Indonesians there, about 10% of them are of Indonesian or had Indonesian blood if you know the player from your favorite club Virgil van Dijk has Indonesian blood from his Surinamese mother 😊
Dont go to mangga dua mall, there all fake item imported from china or vietnam. You better buy an indonesian original shoe product in Sarinah or online many good quality local sports apparel there with afordable price. if you buy our local product you also support our local labor. Please tell all the youtuber via your channel to not go to mangga dua. Fyi 350k for fake nike made in china..gosh thats too expensive!! they knocked you up.

Indonesia's shoes local brand nowadays better than fake brand but prices more cheap, Brodo, NAH Project, SAint Barkley Sport, but with that jersey on, you really look like more indonesian now, you choose traditional sweet snack, tapi untuk yang jualan kopi kok kasih rekomendasi jalan ke sudirman buat ngeliat gedung tinggi buat turis.... di negaranya lebih banyak gedung kali, mungkin bisa ditambahin utk car free day nya, itu mungkin lebih unik

Too many ITCs in Jakarta, and ITC Kuningan is still giving reasonable prices
actually the price of products in Indonesia varies depending on the quality of the product, for example t-shirts, you get 3 t-shirts for 100 thousand, for good quality they sell for 100 thousand or more. So we in Indonesia, if we buy a product, it depends on the ability of funds and needs.

You should try to go to Skye Bar & Restaurant if you want to see Jakarta from above since you can't go to Monas last time.It's in Menara BCA near Selamat Datang Monument, better you guys go there during at night so you can see beautiful lights from the top.

Nasi Lemak wrapped in banana leaf is the best with the sambal sauce. You can find those in Singapore too. We have the rainbow kueh here but more like the nyonya kueh and you have to eat slice by slice.

Not necessarily fake. Many of the brand names merchandise do have factories in Indonesia. So whatever surplus or rejects or last season items are being sold in Indonesia. Also, it might be also used items from overseas. That explains many brand names (ex: adiddas, puma, nike, etc) actually made in Indonesia staple on them ( in the US, for example, I have found these items made in Indonesia).
We’ve found that the quality of the clothes in these places aren’t the best. You get what you pay for in the end!
