Hey everyone, this video is my first ever to break 20k views. Right now my subscriber count is at 649, meaning this video has twice as many likes and 40x more views than that number, which is amazing! If you liked this video, please consider hitting that subscribe button, the push for 1,000 subs to be able to make money from videos like this is insanely challenging and it's a completely free way to support the channel. Either way, I appreciate all of you for watching this random weirdo's video, thank you so much for the support!
I'm really grateful for the game - I have a disability that really affects reaction time and hand control and I can actually enjoy a fighting game now :) I still suck at it but it feels good to suck in ways I can actually work on for a change! Only Superhot has given me an experience like this before. Thank you so much!
I love how humble Ivy is, It's really charming to finally see a game that's this good that isn't run by some scumbag making you pay for extra characters or anything, So lucky to have some good dev's like this.
This game is so fun. There is also a Discord of it. It changed a lot during months and the community is crazy supportive. And there are mods too! This game is just a perfect combo of fighting epicness and strategy mindgames. I just love it. 10/10
To piggy back the sentiment of the closing statement; I loaded the game 3 days ago and felt like I was drowning. The DI, the HUD, the availability of moves in certain situations... I never thought I'd grasp it. I have now played roughly 10 matches and can already figure out what moves will be available when, I'm starting to predict my opponents moves and I have a much better grasp on how to get out of combo death. Im sure a more experienced player would whoop me but amongst my friends we have all became very competitive, very quickly.
Very cool video, awesome to hear the thoughts of the Dev. I am definitely a person who has tried to get into certain fighters and fell off just from being unable to comfortably get the inputs down in time and getting overwhelmed, so a way to get the same joy of executing a stellar combo while actually getting time to think and consider each move sounds amazing!
The game brings and puts together a lot of concepts that a lot of people like me had being searching for a long time. I just saw a short video about a few seconds of a replay and i just knew i need to play this game. And sence that moment i couldn’t leave it. Like if im not playing im just seeing some of my replays in my phone. I had a three ours match with my cousin because we were really similar opponents. I showed my friends this game and they bought it without a doubt just like me. This game is important and has accomplished something amazing. It deserves the love that it gets and so more. Cant be enough grateful
I may be a bit late, but I seriously hope a competitive scene develops for this game. The strategy involved can lead to some big-brain plays, while the result of the match would be amazing for spectators.
Actually there is a professional scene being built up in the community, I know a big one is YOMI ARENA and there are official mods for ranked matches in the game
DUDE i thought you had at least a few thousand subs while watching this, but i just looked and only 750?? you're way underrated, this channel had better blow up eventually :D
Seems like a game for people with very niche interests. Not to say it's bad - it looks amazing - but I wonder how many fighting game fans will love the complexity of determining every move, every hitbox, stun length, etc. Seems like it would appeal to competitive players a LOT, but completely outcast casual players. It looks more like coding than game - again, not a bad thing - so definitely for a more "technical" playerbase.
Actually from my experience so far, most of the people that are enjoying the game are casual players that feel overwhelmed by real-time fighting games. People really love being able to do the cool fighter stuff without the insane learning gap that other games require like complex frame data, move/combo memorization, split-second decision making, etc. Plus it's accessible for people who CAN'T normally play fighting games which is really nice!
God, Toribash... I have not heard that name in AGES... I only played a bit, because I had a falling out with the friend who introduced me to it in the first place... ... well... YOMI Hustle is cooler, anyway...
Easy to learn LOL game needs a tutorial or else i'd be playing it non stop The model is made more people who already know the mechanics. Not new player friendly but 100% worth $4.99
The reality is: for any gamer with gaming intuition can understand the game in 1:30 hour of gameplay, the real problem is the in-game UI, it was so clustered with different information that, until my 4th online match, I didnt noticed the "?" button that actually explained what was what. I've played a bit of Toribash in its age, but I don't know almost anything about other fighting games, "fill this bar to release especials" and "use this to get out of an combo" it's actually the only thing you'll need to know.
@@magnitud3 Yeah, at least on the recent version on the top left corner, so you hover the mouse on the stuff and it shows a text explaining everything on the screen. But the moves itself you still have to test them out and figure how they work, its part of the fun of learning, but you could see a character tutorial if you dont like that.
honestly i really wish it was easier to find mods, it seems like they're only on a discord server which i kind of really hate. i dont wanna join a discord server just to download some files and leave again without sending a single message, discord isnt a file sharing site
@@MisspelledMoos that's huuuuge makes a huge difference in me actually wanting to mod this. Been playing the game for a bit and wanted to mod it but the modding discord is just a mess looking at it from the outside at least.
If you want to see modding in action on this game, I stream it every Friday with mods (when they don't break) and we're making our own custom character live every Monday!

Love how this game was created because someone got their ass kicked without practice mode
As someone who had to play smash in practice mode at half speed to even have a chance of learning how oto do anything, I support this statement
love the video :)
Thanks again for being in it! (and for helping me grab that footage) 😎
next character when
love the game :)

ur voice getting wobbly at the end made me turn into a puddle

This surprisingly high quality for such a low amount of subs you deserve more.
Aww thank you 😭 it's a loooong battle to get subs but comments like these keep me going!

Its kinda like a SUperHot turned base fighting game with the replay at the end
SUPER HOT SUPER HOT SUPER HOT
(I agree)
yo this video is pretty epic, youtube should totally show it to more people because i commented
I agree, it should do that 😂

The best part is that it's just as deep and competitive as those games are, just in a different way.
YOMI Hustle, the turn-based TAS fighting game.

Very good video! I also love Your Only Move is Hustle.
I paid this game for 4€ on a whim and now I'm convinced I would pay 15 for it. Ivy Sly if you're there drop your paypal.
"Modding intrest since Rivals of Aether and Mugen"
Oh fuck there's a Ronald mod floating out there isn't there.
😈😈😈😈😈
Surprisingly there isn't, especially considering that the most popular aether modder joined the hustle community
YET
Just fell randomly for this video and saw just 600 subs
The UA-cam grind is rough 😅
Thanks for watching!

Cool Shit.
Thank you, only the coolest of shit for my viewers 😘
i would say 5$ in a generous asking price. yes the game is VERY SIMPLE. but sometimes simple shit is simply fun
honestly i really wish it was easier to find mods, it seems like they're only on a discord server which i kind of really hate. i dont wanna join a discord server just to download some files and leave again without sending a single message, discord isnt a file sharing site
They actually just released a modloader for the Steam version that automatically updates the mods!
