    Thanks! Very useful info. Why not produce an overview course about Chief Architect on SkillShare or Udemy? I think that would be a great addition to any of these course platforms.

      I actually do have a course for beginners! I host it myself through my website. :)

    PLANTS !!! we need more plants in Chief - where's a good place to get more plants other than chief's library???

      Yes! I agree, more plants! You can find a lot of really good ones for free on the Sketchup Warehouse. Search 3dsky, Turbosquid and CGtrader for free and paid models. For the most realistic, you can look at the Quixel Megascans. Poliigon has great plants too. There's also Globe Plants, they look good, but I haven't personally used them yet. :)

    Hi Annilee, The link how to model in Sketchup no longer works. Do you know of any good classes or videos? Thank you

    Great video! I just want to know if the same approach can be used when importing from Revit? I'm thinking of moving from Revit to chief and I want to move my custom Revit windows and Doors with me to Chief, how can I archive this please?

    • @DesignerAnnilee
      @DesignerAnnilee  Рік тому

      Thank you! To import items from Revit, you would first need to export from Redit as a 3d model file. Currently Chief Architect supports 3d file formats DWG, DXF, OBJ, 3DS, STL, SKP, DAE. To make the act as a door or window, go through the import process under File -> Import, then you can select from the options. By selecting the proper options, your new doors and windows will be properly placed into walls and will appear in the door & window dialogs and schedules.
