Pleasure to see such a variety of cars, styles and sounds used, crazy to think all these cars were racing within a 3-4 year period! Amazing quality driving throughout the field, I hope we see some more of this, especially with some more additions to the WSC pack coming later in the year...
Seeing a 906 and a Cobra Daytona in the same category kinda blew my mind, and I've been reading on this era of motorsport for a while. Awesome to see them all show their strengths and weaknesses over a race distance, 'cause that added so much depth to the experience.
Used to be super active here back in 2021 and I love coming back sometimes to check out whats going on. Time moves slower in niche communities. I remember being super excited for these cars. College has made it impossible to have my wheel most of the year, and last summer was busy. Hope to get back into it this summer. Your content was my favorite and is still top tier.
Doing very well. Miss Racing but I will be getting back into it come summer. Have you tried VR. For me it was the ultimate racing accessory. Computer performance didn't agree with me lol@@GPLaps
I’m happy you’re getting a college education! Knowledge is so important and unfortunately it is very expensive in the USA.. I’m from Germany and university is almost free over here, which is a huge blessing! May I ask what topic you are studying in college? If you really want to race, ry to work it into your week, that way you’ll be able to race during college. If not, the rig will always wait for you! I have a remote job as an automotive engineer these days so rig time is available to me, but I’m still so happy that I started to schedule my sim racing time when I got into college many moons ago. I took a two hour spot in my week that I blocked for sim racing back then and it was really fun to keep that hobby rolling! Sometimes I even choose the rig over going out and I don’t regret it. I hope you’re getting a good job when you finished college that will allow you some spare time for racing and the income to afford the rig you always dreamed of :)
Riverside is one of my all time favorite tracks. Used to love to watch them race their on TV but sadly I never was able to see one live. I used to love to race there on my old rFactor game.
Fair to say a lot of the people reading won't be aware that this and the other ACL GT mods likely wouldn't exist without your input sir, so thanks for everything you've put into the ACL mods over the years!
Your practice / qualifying laps were night and day compared to your race laps , so much more traction on the slower corners and the laps in general were better in the race even with the heavy load from the fuel. And of course , you pulled a no - stop and gained a lot of places well done !
Watching yours and Jimmer's streams side by side was fun as hell. Especially towards the end where you were getting lapped by him - he was chasing Joe hard. Watching you both dance on those worn-ass tyres was majestic.
Found your channel last week. Been sifting through your historic and RBR stuff. Wow, what a race. So many moments, hands on my head as you flew through that dust cloud avoiding the spun car! (p.s. You kinda inspired me to buy a Wheel setup...)
With the Daytona 500 being rained out came over to check your race out, nice job, great cars, excellent track.Miss the ole Riverside circuit featured awesome Nascar races.🍻🍻🍻
Another amazing race. I watched it in several segments but enjoyed every minute of it. I will have a look at their schedule and hope I can be part of it some time later in the year.
Probably the best race I've watched you run, super exciting and tense at times. Great battles and car handling. Well done Jake, looking forward to the next one.
There's a sizeable difference between the Daytona and the maseratti. I've decided not to race them against each other in AI races because the maseratti was 3+ seconds per lap faster on any circuit. So well done for managing to battle it for so long!
Man that was interesting as hell I couldn’t stop watching and you have excellent content also this reminds me how far behind I am lol. Your pretty good I must say 👍
I watched Jimmy's stream, and on watching on of his other streams about the 60's Nurburgring, he mentioned GP Laps... and I've been hooked on this man's streams.
AC still being played by lots of people and the passion of the modders still strong ten+ years on is a testament to how great that game is. I wish I could afford to build a rig but they have gotten so expensive. The low/middle range Logitech wheels I kept buying all died in under 100 hours of use. Plastic kiddie toys compared to what Jake is using.
Nice! You ever race over @ CMS RF2 with the SGS mods. We raced Daytona 64 with 3 classes, Div III II & 1. Two hour race today and we did the 90min Thursday night. I got 2nd Thursday in the Ferrari 250GT. What a beauty, didn’t save enough fuel and the C2 (beast) out saved me on fuel.
This is the link to join the SROL server if others are interested in participating in events like this in the future!

good race! a nice experience getting GPLapped ;)
Good race! I was pushing like hell once I realised you were struggling with tyres 😅

I have two babies under two yrs old and I can totally relate to this. Yearning for time to race again.

My era, the dream cars of my youth - brilliant racing, love watching races like this!
I don't normally have the attention span to watch such a long race, but damn that was good! worth every minute!
Love old cars, love your content!

Fantastic to see these old cars still being used. Many hours spent but looks well spent to see people still enjoying. Cheers for the videos as always.

Fantástico!...del tipo de videos que no quieres que termine. Exclente carrera! Good race Jack!

One of the best races I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks
Thanks Jake, I really enjoyed this.

Didn't know this pack existed. Will definitely give it a shot. Love these old cars when not doing rally racing.
Thats a beauty of a track for sure. Beautiful car designs from all over the world too
Cool race Jake! Keep up the good work!
amazing race thank you so much it was so much fun to watch!

Great put together event, and very good performance with commentary, which is always hard to keep focus while talking. Take care and be well, Cheers!

Seems like a good excuse to impose BoP restrictions. 😅
I used to live in riverside. The track is now a mall in Moreno Valley. The whole area has really gone down hill. Very sad.
Man that was interesting as hell I couldn’t stop watching and you have excellent content also this reminds me how far behind I am lol. Your pretty good I must say 👍
I love Riverside. It's a shame the new Riverside track never went ahead.
Great race!
the Daytona coupe was clocked at 190mph at riverside.
Wow that’s a long race. And that car around you sounds like a coyote howling it’s erie and gives me goosebumps lol Creeeeepy but cool🔥
First half of the track has a lot of similarity with Sonoma, and I typed this just as you mentioned it yourself in the stream!
GP laps and Jimmy Broadbent in the same race!

I am using some footage from this video to help create this track for ICR2! Getting clear video footage of the scenery here is difficult.

Hej Jake, whats that music at the end of the stream?:) and fantastic show as always , thank you
Found it:) "an army of none" by the whole other.
What is the telemetry overlay, has everything in one little strip. Looks perfect 👌
How can I donate to you?
Where can I puy the Cobra Daytona mod?
Hi! The car is part of the WSC Legends 60s Pack. GPLaps has a video about it on the channel, and you'll find the download link there
Game?
