      @@keyanahhines7321 @marcoechandi9606 it was an incredible experience!!! Finished it in 6 hours and 30 minutes and crossed the finish line with my dad (we trained together every day for the 5 full months prior to the race), which made it 10x better. On mile 10 of the run I had nothing left in me, but kept going and got it done. It’s for sure a mental battle, but the energy/vibe/environment on race day is so amazing that you just keep going. Have you guys signed up for one?

    Congrats on setting and accomplishing such a strenuous goal. You haven't missed much on FloydsFork - its been super low since August and cooled off fast. But at least they just stocked it with rainbows, so there's fun to be had if the bass aren't biting.

      I had gels that I had bought and trained with but I also stopped at one aid station where they had orange slices and bananas. My tri suit had pockets on the lower back where I could place my nutrition.

    Great video. I do hear a lot about zone 2, but mine makes me run so slow, like waking. So i feel if i follow that my progress would be so slow, and also feel that i can give much more than that. I have 7 months to 70.3 from couch and im 42

    • @RhinoJoeOutdoors
      @RhinoJoeOutdoors  Рік тому

      That zone 2 is so important especially by the time you get to the run. You will be tired. Just have faith. Try to integrate zone 2 into your training. Do a cycle then transition into a zone 2 jog.

    How much of your bike training was done on the Peloton vs outdoor?

    • @RhinoJoeOutdoors
      @RhinoJoeOutdoors  10 місяців тому

      I’ll probably did about 30% of my time outdoors. Main purpose of my outdoor training was to get used to being on a actual bike. Also had to get used to riding in the TT position. Now I actually have Zwift and hooked up my bike to it and it’s a bunch better for training. The nice thing about the peloton though is it’s really fun with the instructors and such.

    • @RhinoJoeOutdoors

      I started out keto and transitioned into a more balanced diet using a macro calculator and adding calories as my training increased. I tried to listen to my body.
