Good review. Sorry you guys don't like it. We love our '23 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. We have 15,000 miles on it so far and zero issues or complaints. We love it!
I feel as though I would have liked a wrangler better, but I also feel like we forced this GC to happen, and things don't always work out great when you force it. I will say that it makes me a bit more worried about my next Ram, whichever one and whenever that'll be.
@Scavenger1320 We live in a very rural area about 20 miles from town, and the final three miles to our house are dirt roads. So we have 6 miles of dirt roads to drive everytime we come & go. We also flat tow the Wrangler behind our class A motorhome on vacations/trips. So for us, the Wrangler is perfect. However, it is only used for local driving and RV trips. We greatly prefer our '21 Durango R/T TowNGo with the AWD Hemi drivetrain for long distance driving, towing our boat to the lake, etc. No comparison. To add insult to injury, the 5.7 Hemi Durango gets better mpg's than your Jeep, averaging 19-20 on trips, and approx. 14 while loaded up & towing our 5,000 lb boat. So the Durango never gets used for daily local driving and is saved for big trips & towing needs. Works for us...
@@artillerybuff2000 That sounds like a pretty good setup. Dirt roads is probably one of the bigger negatives to living a bit further out, but I'd gladly deal with them if it meant I had more space for everything else.
It's definitely looking like it's about to be the time to buy, or will be very soon. They're saying some big price cuts are coming to Dodge, Jeep and Ram. Not good for me as it'll put me even further upside down on this JGC, but it'll be great for you and anyone else in the market. Thanks for watching!
Sorry to hear your issues, I had a Grand Cherokee L limited and had similar issues especially in the heat. I read on some Forums that the wire harness assembly is wrapped overly tight causing all the electrical gremlins
I haven't heard that about the harness, but I also haven't really spent much time in Jeep forums. Sucks because I do really like the Uconnect system, but I've heard of these issues in other models too, not just the Grand Cherokees. Thanks for watching!
Wow, sorry to hear your poor fuel mileage. Two Jeeps, 2019 Cherokee 3.2 105,000 no issues, 25 to 30 mpg. 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude 3.6, actually getting up to 26+ freeway driving 68 mph. Mostly rural driving and some town driving.
I have the same jeep and the same glitchy electronics. Sometimes the parking brake comes on. I've also had to have the air conditioner replaced. I do like the size I do like the ride, but the glitches are very distracting.
Luckily the a/c hasn't had any issues. As hot as it gets in Dallas my wife would have probably thrown the keys at me and told me to get rid of it immediately if that happened lol. I'm not a fan of an electronic parking brake, but we do use it regularly and haven't noticed any issues with it yet. Thanks for watching and commenting your experience!
Any vehicle will consume more fuel until it reaches operating temperature so, if your wife lives close enough to work that it never reaches or barely reaches operating temperature before she's shutting it off again, that's most likely where your fuel economy is going.
I wish she was that close lol. Well, actually she is pretty close, less than 10 miles, but as I alluded to, the infrastructure layout and construction here is so bad that there are mornings where it'll take her over 40 minutes to get to work. Heck, sometimes it takes 20 minutes just to get out of our neighborhood lol, so the car definitely gets to operating temp just about everytime it's taken out. It's probably more to do with all the time spent in traffic.

Apples and oranges.
My wife has an older JGC and wants to upgrade. There are some discounts now and I'll be asking about the glitches. Great review.

What year is your gc L ? I wanna buy the 2025 model
@ 2022, I sold it last summer after a year of ownership. To much nonsense, got a Q7 which has been very good.

The question is did they fix the problems with new 2024 or not ?!
Good question, unfortunately I have no idea but from what I've read in various groups it doesn't look like it.

Does somebody in your family have a lead foot?
Yeah, me 😂
