Which vision correction method did you choose for yourself and why? LASIK surgery, other vision correction surgery, contact lenses, glasses? I’d love to hear your choice in the comments below 👇.
A lot of people with an astigmatism don't realize that you can't wear standard contacts either. Very costly, at least years ago when I considered contacts.
I went in to inquire for lasik years ago because I have had bad myopia and astigmatism since I was a teen but was then told I had retinal thinning so it’s not worth the risk to get lasik. I still wear my daily contact lenses though but they sure are pricy because of my astigmatism. Very informative video, thank you!!
Does lasik cause halos, glares, ghosting and starbursts? If yes then i will not get lasik and wait for a better technology in future. I saw many people's videos who are having these problems after lasik and are depressed.
I had femtolasik surgery from -10 D to 0 (but it stepped back to like -0.5 D. It was because my optometrist noticed, that contact lenses begin to cause neovascularization of the corneas after 20 years of wearing them daily from morning to evening, I took them off just for sleep. So I went to the eye doctor and consulted my condition. In the night I can see spherical aberration, it means something that is called "glare" around pinpoint, sharp sources of light, but vision acuity is not compromised and it does not make difficulties for me even in driving the car. Normally I can live without glases or contacts. During day my vision is like before (or even better). I could drive even without glasses, but I decided to use glasses for driving anyways because in glasses my vision acuity is 20/20 or even 15/20 in one eye. Would I decide for femtolasik with the myopia of the order up to -3 D? Most probably no. Above -3D? Most probably yes, depending on possibilities of wearing contacts, more likely with more progressed myopia. At up to -3D refraction surgery in normal people is not worth the risks also because of presbyopia - the LASIK of small myopia changes distance looking glasses for reading glasses. I had -10D and contacts' wearing became harmful, so I had no other choice than taking the risk. So, I am rather satisfied with the outcome.
I wear contacts. I wanted to do vision correction but my eye doctor told me I would not be able to wear contact lenses after vision correction. Contacts after would be in a few years if I needed reading glasses or contact for up close vision due to aging eyes.
If I may, Like to recommend a special book to read. Spoiler: "the eyes are organs of light and movement.." by Aldous Huxley - THE ART OF SEEING Thank you once again and pls enjoy...⚘

Thank you for sharing!
Yes you can. If you don’t use them for daily living.
I use regular contacts for sports or coming to the beach and they work wonders.

You cannot wear contact lenses after lasik or smile?
Hey
You can always get better contacts lenses. Eye ball lense replacement is more dire and risky.
