Good review guys. Thanks
thank you glad you liked it.
Hi, awesome review guys.
Can you try if the battery duration is really 300 days? Or you use the solar panel only?
Thxs
thank you.
no idea if the camera will last 300 days on a charge and as you asked yes we use the solar panel which keeps it topped off. if you only run on battery keep in mind their battery estimates use some number of events per day. more events shorter it lasts. hence you if you can, use the solar panel.
I wonder if the solar panel allows for the continuous recording option?
Likely it won't support that. Basically you'd be draining the battery all the time and most these solar panels just don't charge up enough to support that. Plus the cam would need a much larger battery too to survive the nighttime. We have tasted the Vosker solar panel that has a battery inside, but even that eventually couldn't keep up.
Thanks for the video. Have you connected the solar panel? Have you guys used the solar panel? I’ve had problems where the camera doesn’t recognize when the solar panel is connected. I’ve reset the camera several times, TP Link support updated my firmware and still same issue.
yes, we have the camera and solar panel connected since this video and its working fine.
@@Appmyhome Does the camera recognize it immediately and shows the green charging symbol? I have 2 C420 cameras and immediately start to show the solar charging green symbol.
@@guitarhero9592 will check when the sun shines again. Aside from being night the weather here has been a bit rainy. The charts do show some charging over the past weeks.
@@Appmyhome thank you. I really appreciate you letting me know when it’s sunny. Otherwise I love this camera but don’t want to constantly bring it down to charge
@@guitarhero9592 the sun can out and the solar panel was charging the camera.
Does the solar takes time to get the camera charging? Does it has to be a really bright day?
Best is to charge the camera first and then use the solar panel to keep it topped off. Keep in mind the longer the sunshine and the brighter the better the charging. You can see the historical charging in the app under battery. Seems to be about a day behind in reporting so keep that in mind.
@@Appmyhome the camera is charged to 100% for 5 hours according to the manual. Also, I’ve just installed few hours ago. Does yours takes about a day to display the charging icon?
@@alexruka the charging icon only shows when the sun is out.
@@Appmyhome okay. Does it takes immediate effect once the sun is out?
@@alexruka yes
Really should have had usb c charging
if you are like us we are trying to go all usb c. it’s not easy. one thing you can do if you have sun nearby you is use the solar panel so no more charging.
