Am ex longhaul crew with BA for 20yrs and one time crossed paths with James Blunt in a diner at brekkie in San Francisco. He was sat with some very normal people and didn’t do anything show-offy or entitled famous type stuff. Also worked in first class a lot and totally agree with the super posh thing. They were the nicest, genuine loveliest people to have on board, their wealth and status didn’t need to shouted out and they treated me as crew with proper respect as they have nothing to prove. Often didn’t even want dinner etc and mostly never asked for anything but loved what we gave them and was a pleasure in general and my fave passengers

I found myself with a bit of a strange feeling during Curtis' interview, I wanted to get excited for him but couldn't help but feel he was getting a little ahead of himself outload- I actually don't find him very media polished in general (not necessarily a bad thing) but I did feel a slight sence of naivety and the irony of the little injury is almost painful

I get the post Klopp lack enthusiasm coming into the preseason until I listened to the Jones comments which made it very intriguing to see slot ball. Now listening Harvey Elliot comments which echos what Jones said the players were ready for new tactics.
I’m glad Slot wants more control if we had more control last season we wouldn’t have dropped off at the end, at the end of the season we gave away too many stupid soft easy goals cos we were too attacking, I love hearing Slot talk about wanting to stop counter attacks I don’t think we wanted to stop counter attacks enough last season.
Last season we were robbed few points by refs...when we drew at old traford we had only one point lead..it should be few more points at that point...i usualy not moan much about refs,but spurs,brighton,arsenal,city games were impacted by terrible calls. Then we lost nerves... Overall i think we did too many errors in big matches...at united,at arsenal,both goals we conceded against city etc. We made only 12pts against traditional big six..2w 6d 2d..it was decisive..

Robbo. If you ever get to NZ then a boss one day walk is the Tongariro Crossing. Bit of a mountain hike with volcanic craters and some great views ... put it inya book. (heaps of vids on UA-cam to give you the flavour of the hike)

Best way to pronounce Irelands highest mountain is "Karen-Two-ill". It is not especially high but can be very dangerous if you aren't carful. Rough terrain and very changeable weather can bring down fog and turn things nasty quite fast. Go up with someone who knows it well.
Only downside to Wirral walk completion from New Brighton to Eastham: considerably less coastal and aestheticallty pleasing than steps previously trodden.

Slot I feel does not comprehend or understand how no other teams apart from City play football against us Its very very hard to break down the lowest blocks in the world I feel quite a few draws are coming
I did Carrauntoohil in Kerry about 3 years ago and plan on doing it again soon. It’s a great hike and takes about 3 hours to get up and 3 hours to get down. The route you take climbing up is called the devils ladder and can be challenging when coming back down. The mountain itself is about a 10 minute drive from a boss town called Killarney that’s definitely worth a visit.
Great episode. I just listened to it in the car. Did the Hadrians Wall path walk with some uni mates a few years ago. Would definitely recommend! Do it the other way around than we did, though - finish in Whitley Bay. Day one after getting smashed and eating a curry was a somewhat misguided tactic! 😂

Pound for Pound he’s probably our greatest ever manager, but, now that he has dumped us, his record is being set against the new fella’s supposed “philosophy”. Moreover, as the “philosophy” is a bit different, it must also be better. Jones’s comments were utterly embarrassing. The only feeling he should have after being lucky enough to play under a world class coach/man/icon like Klopp is gratitude. When he came into the side his game was riddled with bad habits. Klopp made him into an *effective* player (when fit) although his miss against Palace suggests he has a long way to go. But, of course, to be an effective player means playing in the uncomfortable, business end of the pitch where the pressure and the stakes are high. You get the feeling from Jones’s comments that he thinks Slot will be happy with him fannying around with the ball on the half way line. When I look at us under Jurgen it reminds me of Rafa Nadal in the tennis world. You got to see some of the best performances you are likely to see, but you knew it wasn't sustainable because of the intensity.

Jones takes were terrible.... First he coudlnt have more game time under klopp bc over years he is injury prone...but klopp always backed him.. Maybe he found klopp tough on him with restrictions,but everyone over years could tell you jones is on ball often too much and slower game etc. If he believe under Slot he find something different ..he is naive,bc he has some flaws in game even Slot wont like..otherwise it wont work. If midfielders moan too much..its worse from any players..bc their game is must be about tactical discipline and workoholism.
I personally don’t think guardiola style football will suit us. Our supporters and anfield are very emotional. Klopps high intensity and direct style fed into that perfectly. I’m pessimistic that we’ll be all that successful in trying to out guardiola, guardiola. I just don’t think ‘sterile domination’ is at all liverpool to be quite honest. I can’t stand watching City, not only because be arsed, but their style of play bore the piss out of me. Not jumping for joy at the prospect of liverpool employing an imitation of that.
All I'm hearing lately is fans slagging off Klopp and talking about Slot like he's the second coming of Christ. Jones has always been a cocky lad, he needs to prove he's as good as he thinks he is. Klopp was our most successful manager since Sir Bob, and only the King Kenny sides of the late 80s were anywhere near as good to watch as his teams. To make out the intensity of our play had a shelf life is ridiculous. Most of the bad injuries were either impact injuries or done on international duty, too many games which the premier league are now acknowledging. Klopp wasn't properly backed at times, we lost 10 players, some went on loan, last summer and only brought 4 in. Only Mac Allister was a bonafide success, Endo maybe in the end. The fact we were in a title race until the last month and won a trophy with a group of kids speaks volumes. Had Nunez been able to finish and Jota not got injured we'd have won more. And VAR screwed us over yet again. And in the most crucial games (Arsenal and MC at home). There will be even more games this season, I can't see us getting near MC or Arsenal, but there should be no excuse for not making top 4, Chelsea look to be a shambles already 😂 but MU might bounce back.
Sca Fell is a very poor Yomp! I have done all the peaks and it is the most Dissapointing. You Yomp for hours like a sheep and end up on a Plateu. The view is Crap! Nothing up there but a moor. Best Peak is Snowdon. BUT check the weather! The view from the Top is sensational you can see all down the Welsh coast from Anglesey it is Superb. If you feel twatted you can always take the train back down? - Nice Cafe at the Top. Dont forget Binos, decent pair. When i was in the Marines we had to run up Snowdon! You dont enjoy the view so much when you feel half dead! Another really nice area is the Brecon Beacons, Pen y Fan, Decent Yomp up and the views are special from the top, you can also do some other peaks there Corn Du and Cribyn. Get a decent OS Map and learn to read a map well. The three peaks of Pen Y Fan are spectacular. This is the SAS Training Ground. Soldiers have died up there in training, it is serious stuff. There is also a superb walk that takes in the Waterfalls in the area, the four falls walk. Great for a two day exercise stay overnight in Brecon and do them both. Welcome to Wales my Homeland. Massive REDS Supporter since i was 6yrs!! Alan A'Court Days, First game at Anfield 1967 v Spurs 1-1 Greaves scored in second min!! Hunt equalized Kop end. Big changes at Anfield, Slott is going to be great for Reds he will put some "Steel" back into the spine of the team. I also believe he will get so much more out of Nunez who could/should be a Sensation. Slot will get between his thick fucking ears! Watch this space....... Anyway, couple of tips for days out, Sca Fell is Shite mate dont watse your breath.... Helvellyn is another superb Yomp in the Lakes. I did that one in the Marines in a "white-out" on an SBS Exercise and it was fucking hairy. Get a nice day and it is superb up there, The ridge can be dangerous though. Again, check your OS Map and practice using it before you do this stuff - BIG TIP!!! Know your Map. Read the contours and understand them. Once you master map to ground it can be brilliant fun, there is so much info. on our OS Maps they are an essential tool. Take plenty of water, two pairs of socks one thin cotton pair on your skin one thick wool!! Hey i'm ex-Marine i know about foot care! foot powder! Dont forget it and take spare pair of socks. 44:48 fantasy football is fucking shite. For the simple reason is that it’s slightly too gamified. It’s great for people that are well into it with double weeks snd constant transfers and subs and all but for people that just want to enter a team it’s too much and you fall behind pretty quickly. A stripped back version would be good.

It's longer than other routes but if you tackle Scafell Pike from Eskdale the scenery is amazing and there's less crowds.

The fact we were in a title race until the last month and won a trophy with a group of kids speaks volumes. Had Nunez been able to finish and Jota not got injured we'd have won more. And VAR screwed us over yet again. And in the most crucial games (Arsenal and MC at home). There will be even more games this season, I can't see us getting near MC or Arsenal, but there should be no excuse for not making top 4, Chelsea look to be a shambles already 😂 but MU might bounce back.
Sca Fell is a very poor Yomp! I have done all the peaks and it is the most Dissapointing. You Yomp for hours like a sheep and end up on a Plateu. The view is Crap! Nothing up there but a moor.
Best Peak is Snowdon. BUT check the weather! The view from the Top is sensational you can see all down the Welsh coast from Anglesey it is Superb. If you feel twatted you can always take the train back down? - Nice Cafe at the Top.
Dont forget Binos, decent pair.
When i was in the Marines we had to run up Snowdon! You dont enjoy the view so much when you feel half dead!
Another really nice area is the Brecon Beacons, Pen y Fan, Decent Yomp up and the views are special from the top, you can also do some other peaks there Corn Du and Cribyn. Get a decent OS Map and learn to read a map well. The three peaks of Pen Y Fan are spectacular. This is the SAS Training Ground. Soldiers have died up there in training, it is serious stuff. There is also a superb walk that takes in the Waterfalls in the area, the four falls walk.

Anyway, couple of tips for days out, Sca Fell is Shite mate dont watse your breath....
Helvellyn is another superb Yomp in the Lakes. I did that one in the Marines in a "white-out" on an SBS Exercise and it was fucking hairy. Get a nice day and it is superb up there, The ridge can be dangerous though. Again, check your OS Map and practice using it before you do this stuff - BIG TIP!!! Know your Map. Read the contours and understand them. Once you master map to ground it can be brilliant fun, there is so much info. on our OS Maps they are an essential tool.
Take plenty of water, two pairs of socks one thin cotton pair on your skin one thick wool!! Hey i'm ex-Marine i know about foot care! foot powder! Dont forget it and take spare pair of socks.
Look after your feet and you will have a great time if you dont you will hate it. GOOD Footwear. Not Trainers. Good waterproofs are essential. Do your research and preparation....7 Lympstone P's were - Prior Preparation and Planning, Prevents Piss Poor Performance!! Bit like Sex really.

About a decade ago I used to stay up watching pre season at like 3AM. I did that for a couple of seasons and then thought bollocks to that. These days I don't watch some of the ones that are on at a sensible time.

44:48 fantasy football is fucking shite. For the simple reason is that it’s slightly too gamified. It’s great for people that are well into it with double weeks snd constant transfers and subs and all but for people that just want to enter a team it’s too much and you fall behind pretty quickly. A stripped back version would be good.
