And sometime people, if they're hurt by one member of the family, will blame other family members as well. The argument being "Why didn't do anything to help me."

Endeavor may have had this coming and this will destroy his image, he may have been a catalyst in his eldest son's fall into madness, but Dabi *chose* to become a murderer in the end. Fuyumi, Natsuo and Shouto turned out better than Touya and didn't become murderers like him. Natsuo and Shouto resent him, but they didn't become like him. But still, the citizens will still bash the heroes for doing the most logical thing because... heroes aren't supposed to kill. So who would? That's one of my main grips with My Hero Academia. The death penalty should be considered with the most dangerous villains, so that they'd never get back up and start shit again. Damn the moral high ground, you can't just change the world with pretty words and good actions alone sometimes.

Also, Terrance, you got something backward. Fire quirks aren't one in a million. They're a dime a dozen. Most quirks are extremely common. It's not rare at all to see a fire based villain. The Todoroki plot line is a case of the audience having more context and information than the characters.
They better hope Best Jeanist survives this fight cause if they have any hope of damage control from what Dabi did it starts by showing the world a living Best Jeanist.
To be fair to some talking points, Endeavor in fact DID have the intentions of just creating a perfect pair of quirks. HOWEVER once Toya was born he seemed content and his wife seemed fine having another to support each other during that small period of time before he realized the Toya's quirk would be a problem. Seemes "love" for them were there at the time but we know that didn't last long. There's more to come so no spoliers from here but it's a bit more nuanced and Toya isn't exactly the sanest branch of the tree. When it comes to the Toga and Uraraka stuff the focus was definitely more on how two sides of the same coin were asking each other questions with both sides misinterpreting the answers. It ended up being a large misunderstanding that Uraraka didn't catch until the end where Toga had tears in her eyes. Toga is indeed mentally unstable but also unfortunately ended up getting the more troubling sides of quirks. Her "need" to drink blood for her quirk is mixing in with that instability with her upbringing with her family and society having no way to deal with it outside of telling her to "put those feelings away" basically. It's kind of sad overall that Hori kind of just left Uraraka hanging in the wind for so long that her character arc became second note to other aspects of the story. If she was more present during important arcs I think more people would resonate with a lot of her personal mental struggles of understanding the faults of hero society. It's disappointing because I thought she started out so strong during sports festival but there wasn't much follow up. She gets more moments later but it's still kind of disappointing overall.
Love this episode and it was done beautifully But don't let this distract you from the fact that Dabi set this man Twice up and recorded him getting murked instead of killing Hawks 🍵🍵🍵
They did say in this episode that it was Rei's idea to have more children. Endeavor was honestly content with just Toya. They even looked like they had fun training.
Is that how it went in the manga? I swear Endeavor kept having kids because of the quirk issue. I didn’t read the manga that long ago, but maybe I’m misremembering. I do know he was a lot nicer person with Toya than the other kids.

Rei encouraged him to keep trying, and each "failure" for lack of a better term made him more obsessed, neglectful, and abusive. It was Toya's "death" that completely pushed him to the breaking point of becoming season 2 Endeavor

Well it gets expanded upon later, with more of Uraraka's POV, but this was the initial set up of Uraraka showing some empathy for Toga by the end. But it does have more subtext that what some see at face value. Basically Toga was looking for some sort of validation from Uraraka and wants to relate to her. But Uraraka's unable to connect with Toga due to the severity of her actions. Toga expresses herself abnormally with violent tendencies, and looking for any possibility of acceptance before more so deciding to embrace the dark side as a villain, feelings she's destined to be socially outcasted. Uraraka does have some empathy at the end to see Toga crying giving Uraraka something to reflect on for the future. This plot basically about seeing if there is any common ground to be found for a hero vs a villain for possible reconciliation. Kinda like Hawks vs Twice, a clash of ideology.

This episode endeavour says he was happy with toyas talent he kept trying to get a perfect combo and the mom agreed saying having more siblings will allow them to encourage each other. But we don't know what it is that must have made endeavor more severe. He didn't force the mom to have more kids they both decided. But somewhere along the way endeavour became more aggressive but his other kids weren't a regret. His regret is how toya died

For something that seemed obvious it was still well executed. That's the main thing for me. If the episode cliffhanger was just Dabi saying he was Endeavor's son that would be a flop, but it was Dabi's style of doing his reveal with the pre-recorded video and seeing the effects of it on the characters that made it good, even if it was expected.
Tbh I was and still am rooting for Dabi. I don’t care about the high road, I love revenge plots. Plus Endeavor totally deserves what he’s got coming to him 🤷🏽♀️ Toya is one of my favorite characters in the whole series.

They did say in this episode that it was Rei's idea to have more children. Endeavor was honestly content with just Toya. They even looked like they had fun training.
Is that how it went in the manga? I swear Endeavor kept having kids because of the quirk issue. I didn’t read the manga that long ago, but maybe I’m misremembering. I do know he was a lot nicer person with Toya than the other kids.
@moonchild yes it did. Endeavor was only slightly disappointed that Toya only had fire but was, in the end, cool with it. Rei encouraged him to keep trying, and each "failure" for lack of a better term made him more obsessed, neglectful, and abusive. It was Toya's "death" that completely pushed him to the breaking point of becoming season 2 Endeavor

Well it gets expanded upon later, with more of Uraraka's POV, but this was the initial set up of Uraraka showing some empathy for Toga by the end. But it does have more subtext that what some see at face value.
Basically Toga was looking for some sort of validation from Uraraka and wants to relate to her. But Uraraka's unable to connect with Toga due to the severity of her actions. Toga expresses herself abnormally with violent tendencies, and looking for any possibility of acceptance before more so deciding to embrace the dark side as a villain, feelings she's destined to be socially outcasted. Uraraka does have some empathy at the end to see Toga crying giving Uraraka something to reflect on for the future.
This plot basically about seeing if there is any common ground to be found for a hero vs a villain for possible reconciliation. Kinda like Hawks vs Twice, a clash of ideology.

But we don't know what it is that must have made endeavor more severe. He didn't force the mom to have more kids they both decided. But somewhere along the way endeavour became more aggressive but his other kids weren't a regret. His regret is how toya died

Whats funny is I think whenever dabi first starts showing up you see him coming from a hair salon so my man had just got his hair dyed and said I am gonna be a villain from here on out. Also I think he apparently has a pocket on his clothing design where he kept that bottle of hair dye removal for the purpose of having it for when this exact moment happened. I could be wrong but its funny to think about either way. My guy had all this planned out down to the hair dye removal.

For something that seemed obvious it was still well executed. That's the main thing for me. If the episode cliffhanger was just Dabi saying he was Endeavor's son that would be a flop, but it was Dabi's style of doing his reveal with the pre-recorded video and seeing the effects of it on the characters that made it good, even if it was expected.

Tbh I was and still am rooting for Dabi. I don’t care about the high road, I love revenge plots. Plus Endeavor totally deserves what he’s got coming to him 🤷🏽♀️ Toya is one of my favorite characters in the whole series.
