It’s not likely to meet someone in the Hollywood business (even if it’s only reporting on it) from your hometown, which is in a far away foreign area, opposed to being in Hollywood. On top of it, his hometown is just that, a town, with only 3,000 people.

When he heard the bungalow was still there, it touched him.
Watched it 200 times and this is actually my favorite moment here as he is keeping his cool as best as he can while failing to hide he is deeply moved.
Hasn’t returned his whole life and has the means to do anything…I think he’s moved on . What an actor

The kid who grew up across the street from me spent the better part of a day with Brosnan and very few others. Pierce truly does sound like a great guy. It's especially challenging to be recognized all the time and not everyone who does is kind or classy of course. So to persistently learn of positive encounters with Brosnan is impressive.

The older you become the pull of returning home becomes greater and greater each day. At 71 I understand completely.

Pierce Brosnan is known for being one of the nicest men in Hollywood and this interview shows it. During his time on Bond, I remember reading that he would take time out of his day to say hello to everyone working on the set and never turn down an autograph whenever he walked through airports.
His movies weren't always the best but he was a great bond and did what he could with the material he was given.
yeah i wish he would have gotten some better bond scripts. people like to rag on movies like Die another day, but everyone has always loved Pierce. he’s the man.

I once bumped into pierce and his wife in Paris, i stopped to say hello and as soon as he heard my Irish accent he lit up and he was the one asking questions, a lovely interaction with both him and his wife ☘️☘️☘️

This is so emotional. Pierce Brosnan finding out his interviewer is from the same place as his home week he grew up, recounting his memories. This is so lovely and heartwarming. To see a man as revered as him to be taken aback the way he was after hearing the simple letters of his simple HOME town muddled from a simple fellow and to see the overwhelming calm and shock on his face... truly reminds you what it is to be a human.
