    9:27 Amazing sound... I intend to do this on mine, but with the exhaust outlet in the original place to reduce the noise inside the car. You did an excellent job!!!

    Great video.sounds serious. N.e issues with engine management lights etc.n.e increase in power was thinking of doing my own l200 .many thanks .

      I don't have any engine management lights. I do currently have a loss of power above 3k revs but I haven't investigated it properly yet, and it did this before I changed the exhaust.

      @@FastInTheCorners have you checked all the slangs to the turbo? Both me and my brother have a l200 and for a while his l200 also didnt get enough power above 3k i think. Idk which one it is but i recommend checking it

      @@rutgerjohanson1846 what do you mean by slangs? I suspect I've got a vacuum issue given the power problem and issues engaging 4WD. I've started on replacing all vacuum hoses but haven't had time to finish it yet!

      @@FastInTheCorners sorry for my bad english. Its probably called hoses. Its connected to the turbo in some way. My brother showed me on saturday when we were changing my headgasket. His l200 worked fine on low rpm but when accelerating it barely got power. We compared top speed and he topped out at 100 and i 140 km/h. We both had only 4 gears btw. Idk if you have the same kinda issue but your problems reminded me off it

    It sounds like a proper American semi the engine noise. I think I'm going to get a 2009ish L200. But with a rear stack pipe coming out behind the cab. Like a Ford F350 Super-duty style.

    Hi I love the sound it makes, I would like to have the same results on my hyundai galloper (engine code 4d56t the same as this l200) to have this result it is thus necessary to remove all the exhaust? Or is there still a silencer or catalytic converter? thank you in advance ! (sorry if it's badly said I'm french and I use google translate lol

      Do you have the variable geometry turbo? I believe this is what causes the own noise as the boost is higher at lower rpms for torque with this system.

    That makes an awesome sound! I’ve exactly the same truck as you and have thought about a decat and egr delete but then peeps started telling me it would never pass an MOT without the cat? What’s your experience been?

      I havent had to MOT it yet, but on the owners pages people say they've had theirs MOTd without a cat with a standard backbox and never had an issue. Technically it is an mot fail if the tester notices its missing, same as the egr delete. Personally I'd keep the standard parts for MOT time on concerned, worth the 364 days of fun 😂

      I'll bolt on the cat if I need to. That's the good thing about a system with a decat pipe, both the ends are still there to pop it back in!

      Hi there, there's a link in my bio to the kit I used. It's from turbo down pipe back, so replaces the cat, and exits at the drivers side in front of the rear wheel

      Mine does do that, but I didnt fit the gauge until after the exhaust so I've no idea if it was doing that before

      No engine light, there are no sensors on this part of thr exhaust. There's a link to the kit in the video description 👍

      I bought the exhaust as part of a kit linked in the description and it doesn't specify whay size the pipe is, just that it has a 3" tip. Looks same size as stock exhaust tbh

      I actually haven't, yet. It is something I really would like to do though, as I've got a Sony head unit in and the standard speakers are just so bad 👎

      I have a "tuning box" wired into the ecu loom to add fuel, and a manual boost controller for the VGT actuator

      @@FastInTheCorners brilliant that's good then dude! Im thinking of buying this shape L200. Reliablity wise what's your like? Up in Scotland what's mpg roughly you getting? My focus ST is costing me a fortune in petrol I get around 18mpg if I'm lucky 🤣

      Mine does around 25mpg on the regular, when towing ive had it down near 20 ish. Reliability should be pretty good, and its easier to repair than the modern stuff. I quite like mine to be fair. The drivers footwell could do with being a bit wider to allow room for work boots. Gotta watch out for head gasket though, someone told me if its gone theres a risk that the whole block is warped rather than just the head, as the block is ally apparently!

    Gen, all l200 k74s (including mine) I've seen have a melted drivers side mud guard , I'm convinced it's factory at this stage xD

      Dude, maybe. When I removed that exhaust the hanger I thought it was just sat on, it was indeed actually welded to. It wasn't oem, but it was definitely sitting where it was supposed to 😂

      Mine is perfect lol no melts but here in the Caribbean we got the mechanical fuel pump and regular td04 turbo so we don't hear sweet sounds like that even tho I straight piped my l200 there weren't any turbo sounds

      The K74 doesn't have a DPF, only an egr valve and a cat 👍

      In this video it's bone stock with a straight pipe. The truck was overboosting though so could explain the loud owl noise 😂

      @@marcuskarlsson9221 I had no power above 3k rpm. I was guessing at the time but I found a vac leak on an old hose on the solenoid so that confirmed I'd had a boost issue, and changing the hose gave me power above 3k again. To be fair its still as loud, I was just trying to guess why others were saying theirs was quieter than mine!

      Hi there! Yes this has the whole exhaust removed. No catalytic converter or silencer. Just straight pipe! 😂

      That's a result of having a straight pipe on a variable geometry turbo I believe! As far as I know the veins in the turbo allow the pressure to be dumped through the exhaust, I don't think a normal diesel turbo will do this, like an L200 before the variable geometry turbo for example.
